Excellent service throughout the process of selling my property. Having received quotes from solicitors nearer my home address I opted to engage Gavin and Kam at Carpenters following a recommendation from within our family. They had themselves had a positive experience and Carpenters' price was more competitive. Gavin commenced matters to start the sale and Kam then managed all the ongoing communication which was regular, relevant and succinct.

As neither the purchaser nor myself was in a chain the procedures ran smoothly and at Carpenters' suggestion we exchanged and completed simultaneously in agreement with the purchasers. A very positive experience and we will use their services again

Very unreliable people. cannot get in touch with them. Do not reply on emails and do not answer calls. I had a car accident in August last year, still heard nothing from them. apparently my consultant does not work with them any more; nobody bothered informed me about it. Still trying to contact somebody. I was put with them by my insurance, if you have a choice AVOID THE COMPANY.

I used to know and like Mr. Carpenter and in fact have used the company on a number of occasions, but it was a long time ago. I recently called them only to be dismissed by a receptionist who did not bother to listen to details, so the next solicitor on the list has got a job. Rather disappointing, but I guess this is life and company culture can change over the years.

Unlike too many in their field, Gavin and Kam are always on the end of the phone when I have questions, and deal with the various frustrations of the conveyancing process in their stride. This is a late review, but late better than never. Gavin was the solicitor when I was purchasing a flat in London back to May and June this year. I wanted to complete the transaction by 30 June to save on stamp duty. I appointed Gavin as my solicitor in the mid of May, and 2 days later I went overseas for 2 months. When Gavin accepted the job (some firms stopped taking in any jobs or asked for a double normal price at that time), I offered him a bonus for completing before 30 June.

He declined but assured me they would do their best! During the time I was overseas, regardless the unusual high demands from the clients and the incorporated solicitor on the buyer's sideGavin helped me complete on 28th June. I couldn't express my appreciation to him enough. I can only say that I will be happy to let Gavin and his firm help me with all legal matters in the future. Gavin was honest and reliable!
