The exterior is the protector of your home, be it siding or stone. Our commitment to excellence means we do not subcontract to different siding crews for installation like other companies do. Choose an experienced siding company you trust on one of the biggest investments you'll make.

John knows what he is doing with homebuilding. That is clear; he and his crew do good work. On the other hand, he does not provide customer service. These are some examples: driving up to the house and spitting out the side door, calling the birds perched on our house "little f****rs, " picking fruit off of our tree and throwing it across the property, not calling me back when he said he would, giving us a date when he would come by to sign and get the check then changing it four different times over the course of a week and a half, giving us the date when work would begin then not showing up without giving a notification that the day had changed, threatening to pull the plug on the project as soon as I displayed dissatisfaction with how the communication was going, and alternating between being aggressive and being apologetic once we did choose to get our money back and go with someone else.
Straight up, this business will do good work (which I am giving the benefit of the doubt on since they never got to the point of working on our house), but they'll put you through the ringer and make you uncomfortable all the way through.

John Temmel of Temmel Homebuilders has been an absolute nightmare to deal with since I bought my house in January 2018. During the course of my 1 year warranty, John was scheduled to come out to my house several times but he only showed up one of the original times--all of the other times we had scheduled, he pulled the no call/no show routine. John was beyond inconsiderate of my time--everything had to be done on my days off per him--but if he was scheduled to be at my house at 10, he wouldn't call to say he was running late or just wouldn't be coming--I always had to call him to find these things out. It's amazing how many times he was "out of town and couldn't make it" even though we had scheduled 1-2 weeks in advance--every time he or his workers were supposed to be at my house.
Here it is, May 2019. I'm STILL waiting for my 1 year "punchlist" to be completed. He said we'd hold off due to the weather (rainy winter, let me tell ya) and said it would be okay for it to be done after the 1 year mark. We got a date in April agreed upon and lo and behold, an hour after he was supposed to be here, u called him and he was out of town due to a "family emergency." I still hadn't heard back from him by May 16, so I called and left him a message about finishing the punchlist.
No response. I called him again and left another voicemail the next day (today) and once again, no answer, no return call. I am bitterly disappointed in and incredibly angry with Temmel Homebuilders and his rush-to-get-this-house-closed-so-he's-going-to-do-as-little-as-he-thinks-he-can-get-away-with presentation.

NOT best in town I'm not sure about his other reviews but my experience was not good. John Temmel is a measure once cut twice kind of contractor. I had siding, windows and doors done. Half the windows and two doors were measured wrong and had to be reordered. The windows he sold me on were not the same as what he installed (Bait and Switch). The siding was done poorly (wavy).
The worst part was his painters, my kids could have done a better job. They were very messy and left garbage all over my yard, I'm still cleaning up. This job is still going on and it's been five months. My advice. AVOID Temmel Homebuilders PROJECT DETAILS They were hired to replace the siding with hardy plank, replace the windows, and replace three doors. AREA Alpharetta, GA COST $40,000.00. DATE June 2017
