Kevin Freeman did a great job on the construction! Great pool- communication could have been a little better but overall the construction was good and the pool was built quickly! I can't say the same about the design person Ben- poor communication throughout the building process- he did a poor job of explaining what we were sold and no communication in the end. But overall a good experience

The folks over at Cody were just amazing. Our designer Jason, was patient, courteous and responsive as he listened to and answered our list of questions. Next, our project manager, Kevin was fantastic! Not enough good things to say about him. As a professional project manager, I know how tough it is to keep an effort on schedule and he had the entire project well planned, and communicated with us every step of the way. They completed the pool project way ahead of our schedule and every team member was very professional. I would build another pool with these guys any day.

From the time we first met with our Cody pool designer (Randle) to the beginning of construction was approximately 9 weeks. After the design was laid out in my backyard the excavation began five days later. It took about three months to build. There were two week gaps without any work being performed. We were made aware their trade workers are jumping from one job to another.

Building a swimming pool is a big messy job. My advice to anyone is to pack some patience because you're going to need it. Cody's quote was within our budget. The second bid we got was a full third higher. Be aware of these things; Trade workers using machines that move earth and spray concrete will kill or destroy nearby vegetation. Make sure they cover with tarps.

We didn't and much of our lawn was destroyed. We were made aware of this possibility ahead of time. They clean up debris piles around the build site eventually, but not until close to the end. We had a minor slow leak by one of the skimmers. Our tech took a look at it and put in a service request. Two men came out and quickly found the cause. They drained a foot of water out and sealed the little corner between tile and the plaster pebble tech.

No more leak, but there is a whiteish stain on the outside scratch coat. Our equipment is working real good. Pool stays sparkling clean. Our pool school trainer (Jacob) was excellent. I'd give a 5 star review if it wasn't for a couple things I wished were handled with a bit more emphasis on good customer service.

Cannot say enough how great our experience has been with Cody Pools! Especially our project manager Kevin Freeman. He always answered every message and call. Able to answer questions for us quickly. Money well spent for quality work and customer service.

I reviewed tooo soon! I originally gave Cody Pools 5 stars months ago (now my review is 1 star) and said I would keep you posted on things that were still unfinished but I was confident they would take care of. Months later I'm still asking Kevin when they will pick up trash/materials left in my yard and when my waterfall will be repaired, he said I should get a knife and try to fix it myself and the trash is Still in my yard. If unfinished issues are corrected and I'm contacted by anyone at Cody Pools other than Kevin, once again. I'll keep you posted!

Two people stand out to myself and my wife as the "cream of the crop" at Cody Pools. One we have never met but her demeanor and can do attitude as well as being one of the most courteous people we have ever talked to was Brittaney Hernandez. We called on a week-end with leaking pool equipment. Brittaney called us back shortly after I left a message.

The other person who was simply outstanding was Jamie Cirado. Jamie was in a difficult position running across a problem he'd never before seen. After calling multiple people for help which were no help at all, Jamie scratched his head a few times and continued plugging along until he resolved the problem. He was extremely professional, always smiling and it was a shear pleasure watching him work. I would hire both of these individuals in a heartbeat if I were back managing staff at my previous position. Cody Pools is blessed to have these two folks in their employ.

This is my first review because I am still waiting on the gas line for my hot tub and some concrete work, will you posted. I just didn't want more time to go by for those of you who are looking at reviews and deciding on which company you want to select. I recommend Cody Pools and am giving them 5 Stars! I checked with many of the local pool companies and Cody pools was THE MOST responsive and gained my confidence because JASON immediately came to my home and followed through with everything immediately! JASON is amazing and the first person you work with, he is great with designs and will help make sure your pool is everything you would want and more! SCOTT is the BEST in the business for pools!

He came to my home and met with me and made sure everything was completed to the highest standards! It's very clear why SCOTT is in charge, he will do everything to make sure you are a very satisfied Cody Pool customer! BEN GARDEA is extremely knowledgeable and patient with a very high work ethic! He has gone above and beyond to help me to understand my new pool equipment and how use everything! Ben is definitely who you want to request when you're ready for pool school! He is helpful beyond measure and an asset to Cody Pools and helping you to feel comfortable and confident with your new pool!

We are extremely impressed with Jacob and Ben. They made the process of learning about pool care fun, easy, and interactive. I particularly liked how they would always say "that's a good question" after I would ask the simplest thing, for about the third time! Ben is super knowledgeable and knows an extremely amount about pool maintenance and testing. The are a credit to the company and show a professional front!

We did a lot of shopping before selecting a pool designer. For the most part, all the companies in San Antonio are about the same price. Even the ones that advertise as a "budget friendly" pool company or advertise their prices end up shaking out about the same or more when you start getting quotes from the higher end companies. The reason we ultimately went with Cody Pools was because of our designer, Brice Hayes.

He's knowledgeable, friendly, and patient, spending the time to walk us through the process of our first pool build. He isn't constantly looking for things to upsell; if there's a feature you want, he's going to make sure you understand the impact it has on price, maintenance, and aesthetics when the pool is complete and only if you still agree to it will he add it onto the plan.

He was very flexible and responsive through our change orders, which we didn't have to make a lot of because the initial design was so good. Finally, when our dig schedule got pushed up (when does that ever happen?) and we hadn't finished removing our existing deck, Brice grabbed a crowbar and came over after dinner one evening and helped us rip the rest out and get the wood out of the way of the excavator, working until after the sun went down.

I'd never tell anyone to purchase something this costly without getting multiple quotes, but I would say that if you don't at least get one from Brice, you're hamstringing yourself.

Amazing service from start to finish. Ben Sawatzke designed our pool and did an amazing job. We initially consulted with Ben in early 2019, but decided to wait. Ben did not bug us or become pushy. We had told him we were going to wait a year. Fast forward to March of 2020, as we were getting ready for securing financing, Ben sent a simple email to reach out and see how we were and if we were still interested.

I think most would have just written us off. It was nice of him to reach out. Once we settled on the design, with not many tweaks, the process took off. Dre Flores was assigned as our construction supervisor, and I cannot speak highly enough of him and his crew. They were professional, and always responded promptly to our questions. Dre kept me informed along the way.

I cannot remember the names of all the team members he led, but "Jr" and his crew do amazing work. The crews kept their area clean and were friendly when we came out to see their work. Our projected completion date was in mid-August, but we were in our pool by July 3rd. This was due to being fortunate to start the process prior to the Covid lockdowns and there not being many others in the process when the pool was being built.

No major construction project ever runs perfectly. In spite of the minor hiccups we encountered, Dre responded quickly and made sure the final product met our expectations. I cannot be more happy in our decision to trust Cody Pools with delivering a high quality pool, with superb customer service. Rating Cody Pools with 5 stars was easy, and that was because of people like Ben, Dre, and Jr! I already recommended them to a work friend, who secured services. I will continue to recommend them!

Randall Hewitt and his staff worked with us throughout our pool building project to give us the best possible results. He allowed us to make small changes throughout the process, sometimes without cost impact. Even though owner supplied decking is not complete, the pool's result speak for itself.see photos!

Stay away from Cody Pools! I purchased a beautiful home with a 2 year old pool installed by Cody Pools, what a nightmare! This state of the art, top of the line pool has a significant water leak, one that was not disclosed by the previous homeowner or his real estate agent. In attempt to determine the cause of the leak I contacted the pool installer, Cody Pools.

I was told by a Cody Pool representative that since I was not the original owner of the pool, Cody Pools would not honor the warranty of the pool; the warranty did not transfer with home ownership. I then asked if Cody Pools would come and diagnosis the pool leak and was told no, Cody Pools only services warranty repairs. When I asked if I could have a copy of the service records for the pool I was told no, it is against company policy to disclose records to anyone but the original owner.

When I asked to speak with a manager I was transferred to an unnamed person who reiterated the previous comments above and when I asked for the manager's name I was told, I paraphrase, you have no need for my name and I will not provide it to you. Since this last conversation took place in February 2019 I have had the pool plumbing pressure tested and drained at which time it was diagnosed by Keith Zar Pools as having a cracked concrete floor which would need to be repaired or replaced.

The pool was installed on a rock foundation which means the concrete was either mixed or poured incorrectly by Cody Pools or their subcontractor. So I am left with a $15,000 bill to repair a pool, see pictures. A company that doesn't stand behind their work doesn't deserve your business. Update: attempted to reach Cody Pools by telephone and the number provided in the response to my review is a standard switchboard telephone number.

Without a name to contact or an individual phone line to call my endeavors to contact you are for naught. Your response to my original post is not helpful to my situation as no one in your San Antonio North Office is willing to assist me.

We are thrilled beyond belief with our decision to have Cody Pools build our backyard oasis. From design, site layout, construction, pool school, and customer follow-up it is clear we made a smart decision. Having received bids from 4 other reputable companies, we discovered that Cody is careful and deliberate with their design, builds quality and stands behind their product without gouging their customers. Mr. Brice Hayes, who completed our design, is honest and dependable; he goes out of his way to make sure all questions are answered and his clients are happy with their design selections.

He makes wonderful recommendations and is extremely responsive. The same was true of our Site Supervisor, Mr. Dre Flores. He assembled a great team of subcontractors that were all hard working, skilled craftsman that take pride in their work to create custom quality. If any aspect of the construction was not up to standard, Dre was quick to intervene and make corrections.

The negotiated price up front does not change; Cody Pools stands behind their work to make sure you remain 100% pleased with your investment.
