They had a full schedule but they managed to work me in for a public pool open. They arrived early, did their thing, and they knew our pump and chlorine generator better than I did. Set us up with the correct pool start-up chemistry and took the tjme to teach me a couple of tricks - very willing to share k James he and answer my questions. Would never call anyone else.

I called multiple times for the field representative to acknowledge that my family and I were building a 7k+ square foot home in Mt. Sterling Kentucky and we're indeed looking at gunite pool with spa installation professionals to accommodate our needs and wants. Upon multiple calls and reservations as my cell phone number was left for with whom named Matt was supposed to call me back to initiate this process, it was never met or even slightly acknowledged by even a text to Matt's' cell number with a read receipt the same day. No, I wouldn't advise this company as they seemingly don't care about their business especially considering I was looking to spend well over 150-200k for their services. No thanks. Go somewhere else in which I did.

Definitely do not recommend using this company. From the owner today I was told we have a lot of work and not a lot of staff and an apology was not given. The last 4 days our property has had a broken pool pump. We are under warranty and if we have anyone else service it, it voids the warranty. So we called multiple times Friday and had not received a call back. Called first thing Monday and asked for a call back, still no call back. Had to call in again the same Monday 3 more times.
Our building is a controlled entry building and we need to know when people arrive so we can ensure they can have access to the right areas. So Monday they randomly show around 4 pm. Pump breaks very next morning. Mid-American called and said someone would be here at 10 am. 2 pm rolls around and nothing from them. I called in and owner made excuses and didn't apologize.
He transferred me to Andrew in the office who was the saving grace of this all and offered his apologize and followed through on my call. Except he said there is a chance that the repair person still may not show today. So when I have 280 people coming in and asking about the pool status, I get to answer "They could show up today but no guarantee." My next step is to have the pump serviced by someone else and just cut ties. Not worth the headache.

Top notch company across the board. Our project was started in the spring of 2016-got off to a slow start as a result of what seemed like never ending rain, however the finished product was worth the wait. All service requests-both warranty and non-have been dealt with in a more than timely manner. No complaints!

SECOND UPDATE 9/21/19.other company called in was on site within days of contact and substantial water loss 95% reduced. Took two guys less than 5 hours to repair. Now doing a few other punch out items. Timely, corrective and correctly and determined professional. IN other words.actually doing the job and not giving self justified excuses. Be warned about the verbal promises of Mid America.
Just read Ms. Rich review and before reading it thought.maybe it is just me. Nope. It will not be worth detailing the number of messages and emails sent. The bottom line I know my pool has a problem. Middle of LAST YEAR I scheduled with Mid America to address the issues after the pool season was done and closings completed. In other words when they would be less busy.
Instead my pool was closed for season. Asking why and about the issues, we will get to them in the spring. I asked specifically are you sure and will you have time. Was promised. Spring.pool opened. Problems not addressed. I left several messages and the guy who did the field work called me and said they won't have time and he was told to call me because the owner didn't want to. Trying to regroup and address the end result was AFTER I HAD A LEAK DETECTION COMPANY determine where the problem was the MAP guy visited, showed the details of the problem and he directed about possible other issues.
I noted that could be the case but it was clear this was a primary leak spot. What I needed was the spa filter pump detached from mechanicals and capped and I said I would have guys who work for me dig out the area. It didn't get done because he wanted to make sure about another leak possible. No problem. We ran the system per his requested and noted water loss.
It was communicated to him. Well over a month and half later and after a second email to MAP telling them what the current status is. No response or following.save for an invoice yesterday for the "service call" made from my spa pump removal request. I feel sorry for the people who are spending money on new pools with them. Because it is clear the young guys running this company are chasing revenue of installs and forgetting about long term profit of service.
My intention will be to address this invoice in the time and manner they have addressed my problem. Keep in mind they PROMISED it would be taken care of. UPDATE. The irony of a timely response vs. the clear paper trail documented on emails. Mr. Geers speaks in wide generalities and self protection and customer discounting. His own communication directly to me even discounted Ms.
Rich and told me he was going to make me viewed in a less than good light. His words speaks volumes to and with his actions. Excuses and explanations in his mind warrant the circumstance and discounting customer(s) is a defense as to how good he claims to believe. Fact is he is clearly in over his head. But that is all well and good. My issue is not as extreme as he wishes to make it to be.
Not even close and already coordinated with another company. For the record my contact to Mid American in 2013 was to suggest I wanted a true consistent opening and closing routine vs. more than a bit of mismatch from before. All was good until the most recent time fail capability Mr. Geers demonstrated. He clearly does not understand the nuts and bolts of business is not customer service (that is called doing one's job) but when the circumstances are challenged is when true service is done.
Best wishes to anyone who is hoping to have backstop support from Mid American Pool. Mr. Geers demonstrates by his words he gets ahead on the stepping of others. As I responded to him.he has a lot to learn.

There's so much to say, but the bottom line is; the team at Mid American cares! From the initial quote, to the dig team, from the steel and tile crew to the gunite guys.the plaster, the equipment, service and start-up crews. right up to the owner! Mid American pools are the quality you would expect from a company with such a stellar reputation, because their people care about their work and take pride in the final product.
Our work involved two-years of planning and more rain this season than we've had in decades. Mid American took their time, worked diligently and accommodated every little question we had, right up to the last day - when the owner stopped by again, just to be sure the final product was up to our expectations and his standards. Dont settle for the lowest bid when it comes to something so important for your family, quality and workmanship lasts a long time - and we intend to enjoy this pool for decades to come! Thanks guys. Thanks Tim. God Bless.

My family has enjoyed 13 years of perfect pool conditions thanks to Mid-American! The construction team re-tiled and re-plastered the existing pool with a French Gray plaster, which makes the water that gorgeous resort/spa color. They installed new equipment over the years, which has kept the water clean and as warm as we wish, April through September.
The weekly service team keeps the water quality perfect. They open and close the pool and are responsive to schedule requests. Everyone we've worked with has been very nice, which is icing on the cake. Mid-American was recommended to us by our landscape architect as the best in the region. This was after several frustrating years with another well-known pool care company, which was unable to keep the water clear and unreliable in scheduling.
