History Report

Jim Mitchell served in the Army from 1952 to 1954, achieving the rank of sergeant, he was a veteran of the Korean War. After spending time working for Lent Inc., Jim and his wife Jeanne bought CK Lumber located in Silverdale in 1971. Jim later renamed the business Mitchell Lumber Co. and retired in 1984.

Dedicated project salesperson that can help you every step of the way through your project from small sheds to commercial building. Our sales personnel are educated and well versed in plan reading, material takeoffs, and on-site measurements.

We will be temporarily scaling back our dock shop operations while we expand our lumberyard, including building a new dock shop! This will allow us to better and more quickly meet the needs of our customers, and hopefully even expand our service and capabilities. This is a very exciting time for us!

Staff is professional, kind and courteous! The store is clean and orderly. I shop hardwoods, of which they have a very nice selection. All the hardwoods are surface three sides. Love shopping there, beats Kitsap lumber hands down!

Their lumber is exceptionally better then the big box stores and you're going to find the tools and supplies that they don't carry either. Definitely aimed for the pros and perfectionist

I've been working with this company for years. It's time I give them a shout out. I visit many lumberyards. These guys Held on to the original lumberyard virtue. They're down to earth and work with the customers to help. And still maintain professionalism that is second to none. From Andy (the owner) too Angela (manager) even down to Ashley (counter staff.) They are in "A" rated company. Keep this legacy of quality and professionalism going. You guys are a true American lumberyard.
