Don Aitken built a very large deck, and rebuilt 3 bathrooms for us 4 years ago. He also built a 10 foot floating shelf in our living room. We are so happy with the results of Mr Aitken's work and we've received many compliments on our deck, bathrooms, and shelf. Mr. Aitken was extremely professional throughout the process and worked very well with us especially when we made a few changes from our original plan. He was always up front about any additional costs those changes would entail. He and his crew were honest, hard working, and I would highly recommend them.

This guy has no business owning a hammer much less a contractor's license! - Does not follow homeowner's instructions or requests. - Questionable business ethics. - Left bathroom tub plumbing open and running straight onto ground underneath home. - Master shower drain completely clogged with construction debris. - Trim molding throughout home has exposed seams and corners not mitered correctly. - Sloppy paint job in every room of home (paint on new wood floors, paint on new kitchen cabinets). Had to hire new plumber, electrician, and carpenter to repair and clean-up his work. - Cannot account for some building materials charged to me or the quantities purchased but not used on my home (grout, roof shingles, brick). - Did not purchase building permits and when forced to submit them to me, said that was not part of contract, even though he stated numerous times (once, via a phone message to me) that he had them.

He will state that contract was for "Labor Only" and even if he was being truthfully forthcoming in his excuses, it would not have mattered anyway because NONE of his work passed county inspection! - Trashed my new wood floors, my new kitchen cabinets, and my new gas range! IF YOU CARE AT ALL FOR YOUR PROPERTY YOU WILL NOT HIRE THIS GUY!
