Taking the correct measures that stop or redirect water and seepage is what makes a system installation successful. Our staff brings decades of experience, and a lifetime warranty is offered for any waterproofing work installed. This review is long overdue. After looking at other companies, Nu-Crawl was who we chose.
Living with an exposed crawlspace is living with a hidden health hazard. Properly sealing the ground should become a priority for any home owner. It is not soon enough to respond to foul smells coming from your crawlspace, but preventative care is the less expensive repair and healthier option. Wet crawlspaces inevitably create mold, whether on the ground or on the wood structure of your home.
Unwanted visitors come in many forms. Some looking for shelter, others food, some water. An entire biosphere can exist in the dark depth below your floors, and a properly sealed crawlspace will eliminate most of these intruders. Termites, a massive problem in many warmer climates of the US, require water as they consume your home.
Air sealing of the crawlspace ground is considered a "passive" method of controlling soil gasses, and should be done in advance of Radon testing. Air sealing is a difficult proposition in a crawlspace. Standard plastic and tape are generally not enough due to the inherent flaws of plastic and tape systems.
