Dido Etinde, originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, moved to Amherst twelve years ago. He met his wife Ginger and opened a professional painting company. For the past twelve years he has served homeowners and businessess throughout Western Massachusetts and is happy to call the Pionner Valley home.
Etinde Painting is fully insured and carries Massachusetts State Workmen's Compensation insurance to ensure your peace of mind while we are working on your property. We also are fully trained and certified in lead-safe work practices as required by the Federal Lead-Based Paint Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Program for work on pre-1978 houses.
Surface preparation is the key to a successful paint job for both interior and exterior painting. We always do a thorough job to ensure you are satisfied with our work. We apply primer and two coats of high quality finish paint after preparing the exterior surfaces. If any extra repair work is needed, we will bring it to your attention before proceeding.

We take extensive steps to protect the area where we are working and finish your job before moving on to the next one. We hired Etinde to paint our house and they did a good job. But we noticed some trouble spots with blistering paint soon after the job was completed. They say they will have someone come back and fix them up, but it has taken over 4 months of continuous outreach and they still have not come to fix the job. I'm sure they'll get here to fix it eventually but at this point Etinde would not be my recommendation.

Initiated a conversation about spring/ summer painting in February; they came to evaluate the house twice (?). Never heard an estimate, and now they don't return phone calls. I hope it's not too late to find someone else! UPDATE: A couple of days after I wrote this, Dido got in touch. They ended up fast-tracking our project, and it's now done and looks great! Dido and the team were all very sweet, clean, considerate, and helpful. Thanks Dido!

Etinde Painting did a a beautiful job painting our 110 year old, three-story wood frame house. Dido and his excellent crew did extensive prep work, and were extremely thorough and meticulous in highlighting the detail of the facade of the house, Throughout, Dido patiently helped us select and mix just the right paint colors for the trim, doors, and lattice work. It was a big job and we couldn't be happier with the final result.

Etinde Painting completed interior painting for a condominium we were preparing to sell. We had a short timeline and needed a company to stick to the timeline and leave the place as clean as they found it. Dido and his team were able to start work right away and finished within the agreed upon timeframe, leaving the condo as clean as it was when they entered.
When we completed the walk through it was dark and I initially I did not notice a couple of spots I was not satisfied with. I contacted Dido and he promptly responded and repaired the areas the next day. Thank you to Etinde Painting!

Etinde Painting did a great job painting the exterior of our home. They showed up when they said they would and went the extra mile to recommend some changes that I would not have expected. I hired Dido Etinde to paint several rooms in my house and I am quite happy with the work that he did. He was very prompt in returning my phone call and arranging a time to come and take a look at the job. He gave me a quote on the spot and was able to start this project in a reasonable amount of time. He was on time both days that he worked, was very clean each day that he was here, and was fast and thorough. I found him and his team to be very professional. I plan on hiring Etinde Painting again.

I have used Mr. Etinde for over five years and have always been very pleased with the quality of his work and the way that he makes sure the job is done perfectly. My son's room was painted over five years ago in two beautiful shades that he helped me pick out and the room still looks fresh and beautiful today. I hired him to do the bathroom, which required removing wallpaper, a den which was a dark red and he transformed to a warm neutral white.
All jobs were done quickly, professionally, and with super nice communication. I highly recommend him, and yes I did compare prices and he came in lower. In fact came on the weekend himself to finish the job, which required an extra coat to cover the dark color, because he wanted it to be perfect. It was!
