A majority of folks don't leave reviews until they have an issue. Well, I'm guilty of it here. Four days ago I would have left a 5-star review as I have rented equipment from Absolute over the last 5 or so years. They have what the average person needs, they're polite, and they're knowledgeable about their equipment.no complaints whatsoever. Unfortunately I had an issue that was not resolved to my satisfaction.
I rented a reciprocating aerator a few days ago. Started aerating my yard and within 20 minutes the thing completely breaks down. Upon inspection, one of the four arms had obvious pre-existing damage and rust, while another one showed signs of a clean break. My conclusion is that the arm with preexisting damage gave way. This caused the machine to become unbalanced and put extra stress on the other arms, of which another one gave way as a result.
So I call Absolute and promptly return the machine. They didn't have a back up so I returned the next day and got a different walk-behind aerator. This unit worked flawlessly and I was able to aerate my lawn with ease. Fast forward a few days later, Absolute calls me and tells me that I am responsible for the damage to the reciprocating aerator because I HAD to have run over large rocks/boulders in order for that type of damage to occur.
This is total bull. As you can see in the attached pics, I don't think fescue grass can grow this well in a lawn with large rocks/boulders. I have used multiple different types of aerators over the years and have NEVER ever had a single problem. Needless to say, I disagree with having to pay to repair their instrument. In the future, I'll just go somewhere else. Update: I was contacted by Absolute regarding my issue.
The issue was promptly addressed and resolved to my complete satisfaction. I am updating my review to 5-stars not as "'quid pro quo, " but because the issue was a result of a mutual misunderstanding. I am thankful that they have high regards for their customers and therefore will continue to use them for my equipment rental needs.

Service was fast! They have a 4 hour minimum rental which is fair to me. I only used the tool I needed for one hour though. I almost got a bit leery when I returned it and the cashier didn't offer to give me a returned rental receipt, so I asked for it. I just want to cover myself so there's never a question as to when I return something. Other than this little blip, I had no problems and would rent equipment again here if needed.

VERY DISAPPOINTED, called last week to reserve a mini skid steer was told all would be good to pick up today at 8:00 A.M. had a guy lined up to do my landscaping. They called this morning at 7:55 A.M. to tell me that they would not have my product, and that they were sorry. Asked if they could some how help and said no! Very upset with the outcome will never use the company again.

Called and made a reservation on Friday with Josh for a zero turn as mine was in the shop. He was knowledgeable and friendly. He actually called me back later in the afternoon to let me know the previous person had returned early so I could come earlier to pick up the next day. When I came on Saturday to pick it up things were not so friendly. The person at the counter told me he didn't know if he had a zero turn for me.
I explained that Josh had already told me the unit I was renting was already returned. This person said "he must of been confused" but he would see what he could do. A few minutes later he said he had one I could take only it was diesel instead of gas. I said that was fine. Got the mower back to my place and started cutting. The blades were very dull and even on lighter grass it was leaving behind stems that I had to run over again to make it level.
The mower was also randomly loosing power and would idle down to almost a stall. This was not stress related as it would do it even if the blade wasn't engaged. It did this Randomly every couple minutes. Between this and the dull blade's it took me almost 3 times the amount of time It usually takes to cut my grass. (5.5 hours vs. 2) I mentioned all of this when I returned expecting at least an "i'm sorry" or maybe a slight reduction in the equipment cost to cover my time and inconvenience. Nope. Nothing.
All he said was "Were you able to get the job done?" I told him yes although it took 3 times the amount of time it should of. He said ok thanks and basically moved on to the next task. Honestly after reading the mostly positive reviews on here I am shocked at the service I received. But nevertheless here is my honest negative review in a sea of good ones.

Call for pricing first. Don't trust what's on their website. Took a chainsaw chain there to be sharpened, website clearly says 5 dollars. They had it a week, they never called to say it was ready. Picked it up and he said, that'll be 10.93. I said your website says 5 dollars, he said really? We need to update that, and then assumed I'd pay that amount. Very smug employees. Website still says 5 dollars by the way.
