Great people and beautiful craftsmanship! I've been knowing the owners of this company for 30 years and I can truly say that they have a great eye for detail!

Recently, my sister and I had the satisfaction of collaborating with the Sullivan and Forbes team on the complete remodel of our lakefront home. We selected them because we viewed their work on other properties in our neighborhood and received very positive feedback from other owners. Our remodel was a 7-figure project that required several months in the planning stages and slightly over 16 months of actual construction time.

Although we were complete construction novices, Sullivan and Forbes were there for us at every step to help us create the home of our dreams. They drew the plans, secured the permits, hired top-notch, experienced subcontractors, solved challenging building issues, and perhaps most importantly to us- they listened, and they got it right. They stand behind their work and are justifiably proud of the results they achieve. We would not hesitate to recommend their services highly.

Sullivan and Forbes Builders deserve 10 stars. We were living in CA when we decided to retire and build our Craftsman style dream home on Lake Lanier. After doing some research and communicating with Larry Forbes extensively, we decided to start our new home build with SF on the land we had purchased. We are the type of people who ask abundant questions and appreciate seeing firsthand a project to completion in various stages. Needless to say, living out of state and commuting to GA whenever our schedules permitted, we put a lot of trust in SF.

We relied heavily on Larry and Renee Forbes, Hank and Windie Sullivan, and the rest of the SF team to guide us through every step of the process such as, land build feasibility and mortgage company referrals, to choosing windows and appliances, and all of our home fixtures. We were very pleased SF showed us many homes in various phases of construction which enabled us to see the quality of their home construction up close. Further, we were able to speak with many of those homeowners, who coincidentally, sang the praises of SF.

We were very impressed with the subcontractors employed by SF. All of the workers on our home build project were extremely courteous, knowledgeable, efficient, and they did superior work. Every one of their subcontractors spoke very highly of SF, often stating they have been with their company for many years. We have been in our home for 3 years now and we have only had typical minor fix-its which were readily dealt with timely and to our satisfaction.

We definitely would contract with SF again and we highly recommend them to everyone. We were very pleased throughout our entire home build construction process. Sullivan and Forbes Builders attention to detail, follow-through, communication, and their sense of pride and craftsmanship while staying true to their quality and cost-effective reputation, certainly eased our transition to the south and enabled us to be very proud homeowners on beautiful Lake Lanier! Quality craftsmanship. Flexible, professional and meticulous. Every other contractor is far behind.

The Sullivan & Forbes team along with their subcontractors are one of the best home construction companies I could of asked for. I live on Lake Lanier and they were very knowledgeable in adding 1500ft2 to my existing house within my original footprint and close to budget. Lake house lots are very difficult to build on, and then there's dealing with county regs, neighbors, and the Corp.

These guys know their stuff. If I could give them a 10, I would. As for the 1 stars on this Blog, they obviously don't know anything about Lake construction and therefore shouldn't be blessed by using an outstanding builder like Sullivan & Forbes.

I wish I could give zero stars. We requested a quote for an addition to our home. We live on Lake Lanier in a large house. Hank Sullivan came out for the quote. He was not familiar with modern building styles. They seem to do more traditional, old- fashioned styles. He also told me that "young people tend to change their minds a lot" so if you are under 40 (I am 37) steer clear.

Instead of telling me he was not interested or not capable of what we were looking for, he told me our house was only good for the land and it should be torn down. Very hateful and arrogant guy.

Crazy lady tried to run me off the road then waived a gun at me, really good builder. I WON'T TRUST THEM.

After all of the terrible stories you hear from people building their own home, we found the experience with Sullivan and Forbes to be the exact opposite. From the design stage to final construction, they were there everyday explaining each step. Their attention to detail is the best I have ever seen. Once the house was built and the year warranty had passed they are still standing by their home they built.

We have had very little in the way of repairs, but they have been with us in every aspect of our home. If we should ever build another home it will only be with Sullivan and Forbes! Thanks guys!

Sullivan & Forbes just completed our new house on Lake Lanier and they were amazing to work with. A great team that are a pleasure to work with. The have excellent attention to detail and have a great group of subcontractors most of whom have been with Sullivan and Forbes for 10 to 15 years. I highly recommend.
