Our heritage can be traced to the ancient city of Cairo, Egypt where the art of stonework was first developed and refined. Here, our parent company Marmonil established a thriving stone business in 1963. After nearly three decades of quarrying and distributing natural stone, in 1995 Marmonil expanded its operation and began offering our Red Sea Collection to suppliers in North America. The company prospered in the US market and established a new business - Marmi Natural Stone - with headquarters in Atlanta in 2006.

I've spent a lot of money buying stone from Marni and had been impressed in the past by the quality and professionalism. Well, as they say, that was then, and this is now. The issue started when, trying to sell my house, I ordered two marble vanities from Marni. I didn't want anything complicated; just white marble installed so I could get my house on the market.
From the initial order of white marble to the dingy grey slabs that showed up at my house, the entire exercise was extremely stressful, frustrating and has left me with a horrible taste in my mouth. From my unsuccessful attempts to communicate with the totally disinterested salesperson, who was never available when I called nor could ever seem to muster the interest to call me back, the process devolved into an incredibly expensive mess, made all the more offensive by management's self-serving excuses and refusal to make things right.
To make things worse, management contacted me after I originally wrote this review, claiming they really wanted to make things right. After they gave me the run around for another two weeks, it became clear that what they wanted to do was sell me yet more stone and they acted like they would do me some huge favor by offering me a discount on new stone while refusing to give me the same discount on the order they messed up.
If you'd like to deal with people who will frustrate and raise your stress to "stroke level", then by all means, use this company. Under no circumstance, would I ever go back or attempt to deal with those people again. There are plenty of wonderful stone companies in Atlanta that will still treat you like a valued customer. Something Marmi is no longer capable of. I'd recommend you go anywhere but here.

I had a great experience with Marmi. My kitchen was OK but a little dark for my liking - it needed a facelift. James the designer was amazing as was Dave, the gentleman who took care of creating the template. The entire project team and installers were amazing. The choice of marble was endless and overwhelming but with Jame's help, it was easy. James also accompanied me to select the back splash tiles, which could have also been a daunting experience. I love, love my new kitchen.

I cannot in good faith recommend Marmi. While in the end, the finished product was well done, the process was completely unprofessional and frustrating. Perhaps the commercial stone business is so good that they simple don't need the average homeowner. It sure came off that way on our project. We contracted Marmi to put in a floor to ceiling fireplace surround.
While they were quick to send us contracts and get our deposit, we felt pretty completely ignored after that. I had to repeatedly contact them to get updates on the status of the project and to push them on completion dates. At times I was simply ignored, or at best told that they would get back to me with the answers to the questions I had. But most times it took more follow up calls, emails and texts before I got any answers.
At one point we walked in and threatened to cancel the whole project if we didn't get better communication. From start to finish, it took three months (minus a three week period when we were out of town) to get the project finished. I felt that the hassle was simply not worth in the end. There are plenty of other stone companies in the area that would be happy to have your business, and treat you like a valued customer. Something Marmi evidently isn't capable of doing. I recommend that you look elsewhere.

We got stone for our bar from a remnant for a discount. It may be a drive from the city, but they have a beautiful show room. They've got so many samples that they use to thoughtfully explain all the little details. They carry all kinds of stone that I didn't even realize existed until I found myself watching "Selling Spelling Manor" when Candi Spelling is picking out the marble for her new penthouse and explaining that you always should wet the stone to get the dust off to see the true color.
The folks were easy to work with but that could be because we happen to know so many of them from college. Still our designer works with them whenever she needs stone, and she's got great taste in people, so that's a good sign. We got a beautiful piece with a beautiful finish and everyone was great to work with.
