In our first go round of having a pool installed, Texas Pools and Patio helped us navigate the process as smoothly as one could have expected. After several quotes we decided to take a chance with Gary (Designer/Sales) to come up with a pool we could enjoy and within our budget. Gary did a great job helping us design the right pool for our property.
He was great making suggestions prior to the install and helped us make some tough design selections (tile, flagstone color, coping, etc.) for our pool in the showroom. Next our project manager, Michael, gave us the run down on how construction would work out. Helped find our prefect spot on property and told us we would be swimming in 4-6 months.
Construction started right around Thanksgiving and even with weather and normal delays, kids were in the pool before Easter. Thanks, Michael! As with any construction project there are some hiccups and delays but Michael was there for us and helped us along the way. Sorry to see other people not having same experience but we are extremely grateful for Texas Pools and Patios and have no problem recommending them for your next pool project.
Special shout out to David who did a great job with Pool school. Never thought I would be able to handle out pool's maintenance but did a great job explaining our pool and equipment to keep everything running smoothly. Thank you!

I worked for this company for a total of 4 months. During that time I saw new construction pools with serious plumbing and electrical issues. A lot of upset customers because it took a year-and-a-half to build their pool. One customer almost lost his life due to a heater enclosed in a room and it blew up 20 seconds after he left the room, because the company didn't install the right gas orifice.
The same customer told me that the construction supervisor had only been on the job once during the construction phase and wreaked of alcohol when he did show. Unless you want nothing but problems I would look at another Pool Company

Great job. Once construction began there were only a couple of hiccups, but they were quickly resolved. Total time was less than we anticipated, and all phases were professionally completed. Kudos to manager Neill Sharron who kept us in the loop regarding any delays or following up with the workers, making sure we were happy with every phase. We love our pool and look forward to years of fun and relaxation.

Not worth it. Our project began April 2021 with an estimated completion of July 4 2021. Our project, although still not complete (writing this on April 12, 2022) fell 3 months behind schedule and only on the last day in Sept 2021, were we able to finally fill the "Money Pit" with water and able to enjoy it once before the cold weather moved in. From day 1, its been nothing but bad service and continuous issues with regards to urgency with workers showing up or lack of communication from everyone in the company.
On day one, while unloading the Caterpillar they broke the water Main leading into our home, dismissing it as the sprinklers. They never give you estimated dates corresponding to your scheduled payments. Like clockwork, I'd make payment, ask the contractor when the crew would come, and it was always we will be there tomorrow, but no one showed up.
When asking the contractor about the crew, it was "the crew got pulled to do a bigger job" but time after time it went on for days or sometime weeks. Communication between customer, contractor and crew were always hit or miss. How it works, on Wed all contractors meet in-office to discuss all projects. CALL THE CONTRACTOR ON TUES TO REMIND HIM TO DISCUSS YOUR PROJECT.
I'd call on Tues, remind him of my items. Wed afternoon I'd call leave a voicemail ask for an update. Thurs contractor would call to say, crew will be there Fri. Often no one showed up, I'd call on Fri and either the contractor would send one guy, who didn't have tools, or the guy would sit in his car and wait for the crew with tools to show up before starting to work.
Either case little to no work would be accomplished. Then I'd repeat the cycle call on Tues, be told they'd be there Fri. Other times, to shut me up, they would send a small crew of 2 on Fri @ 3 or 4pm and they would stay until 9 -10 PM. I'd tell the contractor about HOA noise complaints and he'd say the crew was somewhere else during the first part of the day and I am lucky the guys came to work at all. **KICKER, In Sept and Oct 2021 I kept calling and sending emails/texts to the contractor about items needed to be fixed or completed, with no response.
Only after calling the office, did we find out the contractor had been fired! The Contracting Supervisor came to our home to assess the list of uncompleted items in early Nov 2021 and assigned a new Contractor with the intent to fix our items(worker accidentally broke our grotto-but claimed it made our grotto look "rustic", Light Covers are mismatched, Mastic is coming apart and needs to be redone, backflow valve is leaking, and we didn't get the Remote Control, just to name a few).
After about 8 weekly emails(Nov-Jan) the newly assigned contractor finally came to start working in late Jan 2022. Even still, the crew came, took apart my Grotto and vanished for almost 2 months. Again, it was me calling weekly begging for this company who I'd already paid $106k, to just please finish my project. If using Texas Pools and Patios: 1.
When you are given your Payment Schedule, have them give you approximate dates to hold them to those deadlines. (weather events out of their control are expected) 2. Be sure to keep a file for payments, do not rely on their billing department. After my last payment, they said I owed $6k, but when I provided the copies of the checks, they remembered I made all payments.
Last contact was on Mar 16, 2022, I send my weekly texts and now wait for the contractor to tell me how they are going to finish my issues. Feel like this company has bullied me, as pools are in high demand, so a few complaints doesn't hurt their bottom line. My project is small compared to others, but for me, taking a $100k loan is life changing.
Just want them to do the job they have been paid to do. This sucks, knowing full well that calling this company out, before my items are completed, will probably further prolong completing our project. With other Pool companies in the San Antonio/Austin area, I say this one is just not the one for the large price tag. R. D. M@TS C-TX, 78108

Believe the negative reviews because they are ALL TRUE! I would absolutely not select Texas Pool and Patio as my pool builder if I had to do it again. On a scale of 1-10 and 1 being the worst I would rate TP&P as a 3.5 at best because of the extremely poor customer service/responsiveness. Also the fact that the construction crews constantly left construction trash, fast food trash and beer cans during and after the pool's construction.
We filled two bags of trash from around the pool area after the pool was complete. We could not throw multiple pieces of steel rebar in the trash so I had to take them to the City dump. Yep they left steel bars scattered in the yard. In addition be prepared for TP&P to completely DESTROY the entire backyard's landscaping sod, trees and bushes with their trucks.
After you sign the contract and put down the deposit TP&P will inform you that they will not fix any landscaping because they only build pools and decks. It cost my family another $6,000 to have a landscaping company install new sod and trees for the side and backyard. Probably the biggest disappointment was the the Project Manager and Salesman lack of responsiveness to questions about the construction process. TP&P truly acts like they are doing you a favor by building the pool. Do yourself a favor and go with Keith Zars Pools. At least you will get good customer service.

These guys are hands down the BEST! During these difficult times it's not easy building a pool. These guys actually care and went above and beyond to get things done. I don't know if they ever stop working! They helped me design the pool of my dreams. not only did it come out exactly how I wanted, it came out better and even more beautiful! These guys are true pool craftsman and I can guarantee you won't find another company that cares as much as they do. Clint and John never hesitate to return a text or call.
I had many worries as this was my first big construction project and they had no hesitation in reassuring me that everything would be just as I wanted and they're true to their word! I called several companies and feel so grateful and blessed I went with my gut and chose these guys! They have not only become our pool builder, but they're friends. If you want a personable company with a fantastic work ethic despite Covid and will go out of their way for you, then choose Texas Pools and Patios.
After the construction and finishing of this project I can STILL call them with questions and they get back to me in minutes! Texas Pools and Patios has made me love my home again. The pool is gorgeous and I love to sit by it everyday. If you're looking for a professional company that builds not only solid pools, but also has an eye for artistic design. call them! Thanks to John and Clint and all of their hardworking honest, humble crew! We are forever thankful!

Two stars, Clint killed it with the sale and the pool is beautiful, but the journey was awful. Communication is very poor, if I didn't work from home, I have no idea how this could have been completed as people would go and come as they pleased. There is still plaster in the grotto that was never cleaned and the heater was installed but never worked.
Per our contract, all money was due at the time of plaster and as soon as Everything was paid there was a change in attitude toward us and it's now difficult getting anything handled now. Be sure to setup your contract so that you pay the final payment when the job is complete or you may never get it done. Also our supervisor was rarely present and I was told that he was only given 10 minute per site per day from mgmt. They can build a good pool but looking back now, I should have done better research.

Texas Pools and Patios built me a magazine / designer worthy backyard oasis. A giant free form pool with a hand made with real rock 6 foot tall grotto with slide and amazing outdoor seating area. If you are looking for pool people to build your outdoor oasis, these are the guys. Can't recommend them enough. Make sure you ask for Clint A when booking your sales appointment he is the best. They finished my pool a year ago and still promptly answer any questions or service needs I have. A+ company I recommend to everyone.

Clint A. at Texas Pools & Patios was awesome! He quickly understood our vision for the pool and worked on a design that exceeded our expectations! He was patient with first time pool owners who had lots of questions. Then he did a great job negotiating a fair price. The spillway waterfall and pool deck/patio coating are so beautiful and cool to the feet. He also followed up on concerns we had during construction always responding very quickly. Today we took our first swim and it was wonderful! Thank you Clint A!

The pool is amazing and they have done great work! Although, the 3 stars is from abysmal communication. I had no idea when stages were scheduled or how long the pool would take. Even a month and a half after completion, the heater is not working yet and I have to call constantly to get updates. I understand COVID has caused supply issues, but good thing I was work from home to oversee construction and talk to people in person to know what was going on and catch mistakes as or before they happened. If you go with TP&P, call daily or every other day to know what's going on.

It's been over a year since our pool has been put in and we have had 0 issues with it. Clint was amazing in helping us through the process. We were allowed small updates through the process. The finished product still looks amazing. It was a good sized expense and Clint was always available for calls and his word is his bond. The construction impacted the yard very little.
They were nice about everything, their crews even assisted in small projects helping us out all time time. The big question is, after spending that money with them, would you do it again a year later. The answer, without hesitation "yes"!

We love our pool! We were critical in choosing a pool builder as we heard many scary stories. Texas Pool and patios did not disappoint and met and exceeded our expectations. The pool was done on time. Communication was great and we knew what was happening every step of the way and we had access to Clint and Ray if we had any concerns or questions. Clint is an excellent sales rep and follows up and gets things done.
He truly takes care of the customer. Ray was fantastic and runs a tight ship as quality is important to him. We have enjoyed the pool all summer and the hot tub all the time. It definitely was a streamlined process.

Texas Pool and Patio's designed and installed our pool. Jim Crites came out and listened to what we wanted and returned a week later with a great design. John Flores was assigned to be the project superintendent and stayed in constant communications with us throughout the project. We are very happy with our pool and hot tub. Would recommend them to anyone wanting a custom pool.
