Purchase spa Sept 2021 received with side panel missing. I accepted the spa anyways as they told me they would order the missing panel. Well 8 months later still no panel. Have been emailing back and forth with all the excuses in the world. Well told I spoke to Mr Lawler who is suppose to be the owner and he has no solution for me except to wait for the piece that is coming from Hungary.
When I said I should have never accepted the spa he said no you should not have. Well that was nice to hear, then asked how is this my problem and he replied how is it his? You would think after spending all those funds he would have better customer service. Please be aware to refuse anything that is not fully intact when you order from him! Guess it is now it's legal action and better business bureau. what a nightmare this has been.

Let me start off by saying that working with Johnna was a tremendous plus. We must have talked several time prior to the purchase and after the purchase. She has been the best sales person you could ever want. A few ways to describe her are: professional / she knows her products / helpful / friendly / goes above and beyond the call of duty / teacher - has helped me set up the tub and always takes my calls if I need help / and now a friend.
As far as the Wellis spa goes - it is awesome. I purchased the one with lights / sound system / and many jets. I am in the tub every chance I get. We also purchased an XO grill and it gets an A+ rating. Totally recommend this place if you are looking for a hot tub / grill / pool / patio stuff. Thanks Johnna. Mike Mastro

I've recently had the pleasure of purchasing a hot tub from Choice Pool and Spa of Wake Forest. More specifically the attentiveness I received from Johnna was spot-on from the moment I called to inquire. She came over to our place that same day and went over several options. She was not only extremely knowledgeable about tubs, but also very funny and honest; never once shying away from where our senses of humor aligned.
For being a big purchase, Johnna knew exactly how to make it not seem so big. More specifically, she mapped out a plan for the patio, the electrical, delivery, installation and upkeep. Each step along the way Johnna answered every text and phone call with promptness and integrity. I would definitely recommend Choice Pool and Spa to my friends and family.

I can't post enough bad things about this place. I recently purchased a swim spa from here and it has been nothing but issues. Please research before you buy is all I can say. I wish I had gone elsewhere for sure. When I purchased my pool from backyard leisure everything was included. Everything. With this spa I had to have someone poor a concrete slab, hire a concrete truck for the concrete, Hire an electrician to wire it, hire a crane to install it.
All they did is deliver a 2,000lb spa to my doorstep. The guys they sent to deliver and install it acted like it was the first time they ever did it. The crane guys did more work than them to get it in place. As it was being installed they are harassing me for payment the entire day it was being installed. I mean literally while it was in the air on a crane being put in, they were calling me nonstop.
Then when the spa didn't work as it should I called them and told them what was going on and after two days of them trying to "recreate" the issues in the store model for the two days, they couldn't and set up an appointment for 5 more days out. Which my spa had to sit there with water filled and no filtration going. Now when you buy something, this expensive especially, you expect someone to come out and show you how it works, at least I did.
If that had happened the issue could have been found earlier and avoided most of the issues we were having with it. The "set up" or "installation" as they call it was 3 guys wiping it down and putting fixtures on. Not one of them knew how the spa worked or how we should start it or run it. They gave us a pamphlet from the manufacturer, which was just a basic spa, not even our own type of spa.
Which if it was the electrical probably came from the electrician not having the pamphlet for our own specific type of spa. Which leaves me to the big issue. After the repair guy came out the 5 days later and fixed the issue, they claimed it was the electrician that wired it wrong. So then they called me and wanted me to pay a service fee because it was not the spas issue itself or send the bill to the electrician.
Which I'm still not convinced of because the spa still shuts off almost immediately after starting it and sometimes randomly and won't respond to the app installed in it. And I was never told there even could be a service charge if the issue was not with the spa itself. Otherwise I would have went through the warranty or my homeowners insurance to avoid the charge, which there is no service call for either.
I'm appalled that a company would treat their customers this way. I would never purchase anything from this company again and wished I hadn't this time. It's made it incredibly hard to even enjoy the purchase.

We had a great experience purchasing a Hot tub at choice Pool and spa. After being told that there would be a 6 to 12 month wait at two competitors, due to the pandemic, we came here. Johnna is one of the best sales people I have ever dealt with. She's very friendly, informative, helpful, patient and honest. after hours of online research, I wanted to buy a USA made Aspen spa model, which was a new brand for this site.
Instead of making a quick sale, she volunteered to have this model set up so I could test it out. I did and I loved it. Delivery was done quickly, for free and efficiently. They were able to maneuver through my 40 inch fence doorway. There was a minor problem with my LED lights and they came out the same day to fix it. We have been in it almost every day since Christmas and have had no problems and we are enjoying it immensely. If you are considering a hard tub or swim spa do yourself a favor and go see Johnna at choice Pool and spa now!

Worst customer service I have ever seen bought an $8000 spa that has never worked properly since day one. called dozens of times to request service to have them send me parts to do repairs myself. they sent me several ozone generators which didn't fix the problem every time I call they apologize that they somehow forgot about me 4 years later still haven't seen a technician yet. Spend your. Money elsewhere they will not live up to the big promises they give to sell a spa.

Hey YOU! Yes You! Are You looking for a new hot tub? Your search is over! You've finally made it! This is the only place in the Raleigh area where you should get a hot tub! JOHNNA WILL BE YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND! Don't ponder, just go and see for yourself. You will not be disappointed, and there's no pressure or run around. You also will never feel like you were pushed or taken advantage of by the sales people, service folks or the installation guys.
Choice Pool & Spa is just amazing. Johnna and Rob made sure we got exactly what we wanted. I could not be happier! Previously we made a horrible mistake and bought a hot tub at one of those Spa Blowout events at the fairgrounds. We should have known better. It was horrid. It was a 4 month debacle. It really put a dent in the whole excitement of getting a hot tub, I felt defeated.
Finally we got the whole Spa Blowout debacle straightened out and started looking again for a hot tub, locally. There were a couple more hot tubs we considered, from other local stores but none of them had what I really needed for therapy. I continued my search, then I found Johnna at Choice Pool & Spa. I was written a prescription by my neurologist to get a hot tub for medical reasons.
I had a very specific criteria of requirements for the hot tub. I didn't care about speakers or lights - just 100% for therapy. I went to see Johnna and told her what I was looking for, etc. We found the perfect hot tub within minutes. As soon as I saw it I knew it was the one. It had more than what we were looking for, it was cheaper, included delivery, and their service people are maybe 15 minutes from my home.
We bought the hot tub, and it was delivered and installed in about one week. Not one single problem! It was seamless! So, in short, avoid all of the sales pressure, don't settle for something that isn't amazing! Miracles can come in the form of little bubbles! Yes they do!

We purchased our first Spa from Choice Pool and Spa. From the Purchase with Lou we were given names and phone numbers from contractors for a concrete pad, Electricians and landscapers. We are so pleased with the way our yard turned out along with this beautiful Hot Tub Spa! We had many questions as New owners of a Spa. Johnna Martin, Eileen Rocha, Rob Lawler were very knowledgeable, Professional, answered all our questions and suggestions on the upkeep of our Spa. We highly recommend Choice Pool and Spa for your Selection of Backyard Fun! Thank you!

Avoid. Comedy of errors: 1. Dug hole incorrectly, then attempted to charge me for the extra materials. Scott was in Atlantic City during this. Most installers would be on site to ensure the dude with the backhoe knows what he is doing, not Scott. Pick them and and leave them to their own devices. 2. Installed pool valves backwards (yep, backwards). 3. Managed to use an electrician that doesn't know to use a GFI outlet next to 15000 gallons of water. Textbook way to fail an inspection 4. Don't expect any kind of training in your purchase, it isn't what they do 5. Don't expect any kind of help or direction, it isn't what they do 6.
If you yell loud enough they may help you 7. 2 years in and the piping that was installed (incorrectly) still needs to be re-routed. Scott agreed to fix in January (after 2 months of arguing and denying and shifting blame to another nameless individual Scott recommended). Got angry when I contacted him in April to get an idea when he was planing to do it (yep, radio silent, then gets angry if you contact him 3 months later) End of the day.
If you are forced to use them don't pay in full till you find out where all the corners are cut. From installing valves backwards, not pulling the pins on the electric valves, tons of electrical issue. Give me a yell if you have any questions. Classic. Incompetent. Not worth your time.
