Alex was hired to put up a medicine cabinet and a vanity light in our bathroom. Not only did Alex do an outstanding job on those items, but he went above and beyond and repaired the plaster on our old walls! He is a craftsman and a gentleman. Alex had quoted us for the two items, the cabinet and the light and he refused to charge any extra for the plaster work!

Alex Silva is a perfectionist at home improvement. He constructed a built in wall unit for my living room that is just magnificent. It has built in lights, TV console, shelves, storage cabinets and maple finishes and crown moldings. He communicated with me throughout the process, asking for my input. I highly recommend Alex for any home improvement and refer him to all my family/friends.

Every aspect of the work that Alex did at our house in Sherborn, MA was perfectly executed; he built closet frames, worked on floor repairs and redid our entry stairwell. Alex did excellent work on our bathroom remodel. We only wanted to replace our bathtub/shower. Alex was careful not to damage any of our existing floor tile. He did an excellent job installing the wall tile in the bathtub alcove. The work he did patching the ceiling of the room below the bathroom, where a pipe was replaced, was better than the original. Alex even worked diligently over the weekend to get us a working bath as soon as he could. I hope that I can hire Alex for our next project.

We've used Alex for several jobs around our house. He helped us make some repairs and improvements as we prepared to sell our house in 2014. We moved within Framingham, so we called him to make some updates once we were in our new home. And we've continued going back to him as new projects and updates come up. This year he rebuilt our back deck for us. He's great at pointing out what needs to be done and what can wait a little while.a great help at prioritizing stuff and keeping us on track to get our home looking the way we want. He's fair and honest and reasonably priced. And all of his work is done quickly and on - or ahead - of schedule. We highly and enthusiastically recommend him for jobs big and small.

I just purchased a house in Framingham. My deck needed repairs, the wood was old and warping and the stairs were shaky and loose. Alex gave me a reasonable estimate and started work quickly. Alex and crew moved the stairs, replaced the wood and stained the deck. They worked quickly and the deck looks great. He made sure the repairs were to my liking. I am very pleased with Alex and I would use him again.

To start with. I've never taken the time to write a review on line. But for Alex, I had to make the effort! Alex is truly and QUALITY INDIVIDUAL and EXCELLENT at what he does! We are a professional family in the Metrowest area. We have been preparing to sell our home and I had another contractor scheduled for multiple jobs (clean/paint 2 decks, plaster work inside, paint work, repair/replace kids bedroom doors).

Two days before the other contractor was suppose to show up, he cancelled. That was 8 days before our home was going on the market. I was panicked! I called multiple companies looking for help and thank goodness, Alex got back to me first. Alex came to our home and gave an HONEST and ACCURATE quote (I had already priced the job out the month prior with several others and Alex was right in the middle).

He knew we needed the work done within a week but he already had another project going. To accommodate us, he and Adam came to our house every evening, sometimes staying until after 9pm. He then worked the weekend to make sure the job was complete. Alex and Adam's work is METICULOUS! You can tell they take PRIDE in what they do. Alex would always ask me to assess the work that had been done and then would fix whatever I asked (I'm a perfectionist!). Alex's communication was excellent (in person, by email and by text).

He was KIND (to me, my dog and the kids), PROMPT, THOUGHTFUL, and CLEAN (I never had to go behind them and clean up after their work was done for the evening). I truly could not recommend him more highly.

I'd give him zero stars if I could. He came out to look at a job I had and said he'd get back to me with a quote. Waited almost a week for a call nothing, sent a text asking if he had a quote for me, no reply. I then called him two days later asking if he had a quote or was interested in the job? Still no reply, very unprofessional, if you need more time or don't want the job just say so, don't blow people off when I can be trying to find other contractors. Don't waist your time.

My grandparents live up in Massachussetts, and this winter they needed significant repair done. G&M Home Improvement's drywall and plastering services helped repair major long-term damage to their home's structure, and I would recommend them to others in the Framingham area!

I love my patio now! It's a great place to hang out with my friends. G&M worked very quickly and they talked with me for many hours about what I wanted and what my ideas were. I felt very involved with the whole process, and that makes the finished product that much better! Thank you, G&M!
