Pool Stop

Worst pool company! They show to be great the first few months. After that they do a horrible job communicating. Destroyed our sprinkler system in front and back. Destroyed front landscaping. Decking cracked first week layed. MOST IMPORTANTLY leak in our pool for months before they fixed our brand new pool! After that was fixed a leak happened on our brand new waterfall and that took a while to get fixed! Worst and most stressful experience! Owner does not show concern either.

Avoid this company at all cost. I'm paying $220 a months for this ( see pictures attached). They took some parts apart and after calling in 4 different times, I'm yet to be called back regarding this mistake that Poolstop did. Save your money and hire someone who knows what customer service means. If someone tells you that the customer service manager will reach out in 24hrs. Don't believe them

Was super impressed from the planning and design stage all the way to completion. Victor (project manager) was very detailed in explaining every step of process. They stuck to schedule and even completed our pool before promised. Great company and would definitely recommend. Services: Design, Swimming pool water analysis, General construction, Cleaning

We decided to go with Pool Stop after multiple conversations and consultations from various other pool companies, and we could not be happier. After the design and contract was in place, Pool Stop was able to get our pool completed in less than 5 weeks. Our Project Manager Victor Compean was very knowledgeable and made sure we were always aware of the project timelines and went above and beyond to make sure things met our expectations.

Exceedingly pleased with the new pool built by Pool Stop. The Designer and Project Manager are both top notch. The pool was constructed on time and on budget. All of the contractors delivered high quality products and did so in a timely manner. The communication was superb throughout all phases of the build. I highly recommend Pool Stop for those looking to build a quality pool.

Was good. Our first project manager was awful and wound up being let go from the company. Jeremy was our project manager. He was an excellent communicator and very accessible. Over all we are very pleased with our pool/spa.

We signed up for weekly cleaning from Pool Stop. So far they have come out 3-4 times. We have always been outside and talked with the guys as they were cleaning the pool. Today I decided to watch from inside to see how good they would do if no one was watching. To my surprise the guy was here for maybe 4 minutes. He brushed down one ledge (the one he took the picture from), checked the water, cleaned out only one of two skimmer baskets, dropped two chlorine tabs in it and left.

Also leaving the pool in service mode. They did not brush the pool down, vacuum out the debris, or empty the 2nd skimmer basket. This is absolutely unacceptable. I would give ZERO stars if this was an option.

Pool Stop did a great job on building our pool. They started digging in May and it rained heavy several times. They were able to get everything secured and brought out the largest tarp ever to cover the pool! Jeremy, the project manager, did a great job and always answered my calls or texts within minutes. He knew what he was talking about and was very up front with any delays or issues.

There were a few delays, but that was due to material shortages caused from everyone getting a pool during the pandemic. The slide fell into that bucket, and even after giving them the final payment (a requirement before plaster), Jeremy is still working with me to ensure the slide it installed to our liking. Overall a great experience and highly recommended.

My wife and I are so please with the entire experience with designing and construction of our pool. Landon Knight did a wonderful job in designing our pool and layout. Victor (PM) was really on the ball coordinating and facilitating construction. It took a bit longer than anticipated but we could not be more pleased with the result! If I was ever to have another pool built I would definitely be reaching out to Pool Stop.

Here is a "new" tile they put in today.pool was supposed to be done "at the latest" June 17th, we would "absolutely for sure have the pool finished and swimming in July".Quality of work is horrific, decking crew has been out 5 times over the past 6+ weeks and this is still where we are at with their "professional" craftsmanship. Broken tiles, inconsistent cuts around the pool, gaps around the spa.

The owner knows about all the issues his clients are having and still does nothing. Update 8/4: just got our coping "cleaned" today so it can be sealed tomorrow.see pictures.they arent wet.

This might be on me, as I wasn't aware how the sales team works at Pool Stop Rockwall. I reached out via email/phone and provided my survey. Then went in about a week later to see everything in person, we were there an hour & 20 minutes. The guy adjusted the screen to the way we wanted the pool, we looked at their limited materials and then started going over numbers as he quickly started changing things so fast we couldn't keep up.

He showed us an email he said he just got that day (it was a Sunday, but the email was dated the prior Tuesday, but okay), reflecting a price increase that day after 5pm. At 5:03pm he said if we wanted this current price of $XX we needed to sign by the end of the month (we were there on the last day of the month) so technically we were already late to get that deal by 3 minutes.

If we waited, it would go up another $5k. I asked if he would email us the estimate and pics, so we could think it over, and his response was "No." When I asked if he was serious, he absolutely was, said it was because they are competitive and didn't want us to shop around. If we wanted to see the drawings again we were welcome to make the drive back up to review, however, the new inflated estimate was only valid for 24 hours.

Who doesn't shop around for such a huge investment? Who still does business like this? & what happens to that estimate after 24 hours, they delete and make you spend another hour & 20 minutes doing the same thing?

This company is terrible, from their lack of communication, to their poor quality work, down to their dishonesty. The price tag is high and the sales pitch is good but once they have you, it goes down hill from there. Many companies blame customers' dissatisfaction on covid issues the company could not control but quality work and honesty are not dictated by covid.

From start to finish, Pool Stop went above and beyond and completely exceeded our expectations for a pool build. Our pool was completed, start to finish, within ~65 days! We worked with Andrew on the design, and he brought my idea to life! Josh was our PM and he was the best! He answered all of our questions, no matter how simple, silly, or complex; trades arrived when they said they would and they were professional, as well as neat and tidy with their work.

But most importantly, Josh treated our build as if it were the only one - and needless to say he had several projects running at a time. Rae was always super responsive and very efficient and prompt with our account as well! If you are considering a pool build, I would highly recommend Pool Stop! Thank you to everyone at Pool Stop for an outstanding experience!

My pool was in need of an update bad. tim mott did a fantastic job designing the new upgrades and plaster. Very reasonable priced. I made the right decision now that its complete. Save your self some agony and just use pool stop rockwall.

GREAT job Jeff from Pool Stop. When we were one vacation we had a little snafu in our weekly service. Called the office on Saturday to see if the maintenance folks were still there, they were not but left a message. Knew it would be monday before someone would come out. To our surprise here come Jeff to the rescue. Jeff one of the maintenance supervisor came out on same day and rescued the pool.

He fixed a couple things he noticed. Jeff went above and beyond the call of duty a hot Saturday late and got us clean and fresh. Jeff should be commended for his actions and hard work.

DO NOT USE. Poorly managed. Not only is turnover high among the pool maintenance staff, but the problems are compounded by poor oversight and management of the team. How many times will your staff bang on my window while I am engrossed in video-conference with my own client to ask me where the pool equipment is located? Seriously? It's not hard to find the equipment if you've ever worked with pools before.

I even granted grace that finding qualified staff might be difficult and asked management, repeatedly, to instruct staff to not bang on my window and interrupt my work. Maybe the manager could invest a few minutes to acclimate the ever-changing staff to our pool versus sending them out with no training or guidance? I give up. There has to be a better option even if it means DIY. DO NOT USE this company. Abysmal. They don't listen to or care about clients.

I went to Pool Stop today and purchase an equipment. Employees were great but the manager running the store is very unprofessional! I've never been more insulted in whole entire life. The employee apologized to me for his rude behavior. I will say today I will never ever step foot in this store. I will take my business elsewhere. If you don't want to be mistreated for something you purchase and try to return it don't ever go to this store! Yes, they gave me a refund but degrading your intelligence is a NO for anyone working in sales!

My pool purchase with Pool Stop was the best experience I have ever had with any kind of contractor. From the planning stage to post build support they have been OUTSTANDING. Planning: Great process. They took my basic idea and made it into a garden of Eden. They matched the price and quality on items that I found better deals on and what other contractors had bid.

Their build software was very accurate and let me tweak my plans very easily. I took full advantage fo this and they never batted an eye to fulfill my vision. There suggested changes all made sense and saved me a lot of money. Build: The project manager (Travis) was outstanding. They use the Co-construct app to update progress/planning during the entire construction, it was a real peace of mind knowing exactly what was going on.

They addressed every concern I had. I didn't like how the coping looked, they actually came out, pulled the coping they had done and re-did it to my satisfaction. No arguing, no negotiating, they just wanted to make sure I was happy (BTW it came out perfect). The pool is an object of perfection, attention to detail is amazing. There was the typical periods of never ending rain that delayed construction, but the build was still completed very close to the deadline.

Post Construction Support: They have been on top of the water quality, and some minor bleaching I had on my tan deck. I use them for my pool service and they have been very professional and maintain a high standard. Everyone seems eager to make sure you are a satisfied customer. Overall I HIGHLY recommend Pool Stop. From start to finish I couldn't of asked for a more professional and customer friendly experience. The workmanship is super high quality and the final product met all of our extremely high expectations. You will not regret hiring them to build your dream pool.

Project was completed, and this was never followed through: 1. Financial pieces were incorrect and I proved them wrong. Per email from the owner I would get a response on 2/21: R Harvey Rippy Feb 21 1:57 PM Ms. Nelson- Sometimes a disconnect occurs on our end and we have to take a second look. I assure you neither Rae nor I are trying to get more money from you if you don't owe it.

Please give me a chance to look on Monday so I can compare what Co Construct says vs. my accounting system. You're probably correct, but I can't verify until I get back. Thanks- Harvey As of 4/1 I never received an apology or response. 2. On March 18 Terry was supposed to return & place my pool vac in & 'fire up the heater' per the pictures/texts from my project manager I had to contact them to find out then it would be done due to rain. Rescheduled for March 20.

Nobody showed up. So I have had to call to have someone walk me through turning it on and nobody has looked at it. 3. Nobody returned until I had to call on and finally someone came out March 27 to set up my pool vac 4. As of today Apr 4, there is PVC piping in my yard and my project is NOT complete as it's not set up for me to fill my pool, the guy who came March 27 stayed he would AGAIN tell someone. No follow through from this company. Seriously disappointed

If you're looking for a company to create a pool, look no further. Call Pool Stop! They are a Rockwall based company that does superior work. They just finished our pool (the second pool they've done for us) and we couldn't be happier. They kept us informed of each step during the process and provided a nifty app called Co-Construct that outlined each step in the construction process reporting dates for each step and the status for each step. We broke ground in June and were swimming yesterday! A great local company!

Buyer Beware. Do not use Pool Stop. Owner Harvey Rippy is a crook. Horrible experience. They will rip you off. The owner only care about the money. Would never use again or recommend them. If there is a 0 or negative star, I would put that. They do not deserve any star.

I couldn't be happier with this company. They correctly diagnosed the problem, were able to get me on the schedule immediately, used brand name, high quality parts, and my pool looks better than it has in years. We had repairs done, and had them do a deep clean, and I am happy with both services. The pool cleaner was a ninja, I never even saw him.

In the morning, my pool was looking a little swampy and terrifying, and by the evening, it was an enchanted blue lagoon. Our repair technician was Jason, and he is amazing. Honest, fast, hard working. He is exactly what you hope for when you call a service tech.

We had Pool Stop for 2 months and had a very poor experience. We purchased a home with a pool (first time pool owners) and figured we'd continue the service with the company the previous owners used. Service started off fine but it seemed like after every other cleaning there was an issue. We had multiple incidents where things weren't completed and we had no documentation of what was being done.

The final straw was when all of a sudden our fountain stopped working and the manager, Ruben, contacted me and basically told me I wasn't willing to put in the money to maintain the pool. Today was our last day of service and when the fountains were still not working we went to the ultimate source, YouTube, and figured out how to diagnose and fix the issue ourselves. It's amazing that there was 3 of debris in the pump skimmer (which we pay $150+ every month to have maintained weekly).

Once we cleaned that out all of a sudden the fountains work! It appears to me that the management of this company is simply looking to find ways to charge you more money for issues that they likely cause. It's unfortunate that we couldn't trust this company, I'm sure other customers have great experiences, we obviously didn't. I would advise customers of Pool Stop to question any suggested charges/repairather then take their word for it.

I'll be really honest, I am new here and this is the only pool company I have worked with. but I have to admit that I feel like they really give that level of customer care that I'm looking for. My pool had some things that needed to be fixed but I had no idea because I have not been at the property very long. They fixed the problems that happened because the previous owner was negligent on their pool maintenance (and Pool Stop didn't charge me an arm and a leg).

I called the manager today to thank him for fixing the problems with my pool and being such a pleasure to work with. You can just tell that he genuinely cares about his customers. I know if I ever need anything they will be there to help. *This picture was taken today! I honestly had never seen my pool so clear and pretty.

Very disappointed. Nice service staff but there prices on stufff in the store is way overpriced. They have o.s.d speakers for 399.00. I googled them and amazon was 199.00 with free shipping. I showed salesperson the online ad and she stated the manger would never match a price or discount any item in the store. I told her I would like to buy but I'm not paying double the amount.

She stated her manager would not allow anything off and I should by online. She also stated that the company o.s.d is where they buy the speakers from for there store. It's amazing in today's online environment that a company like pool stop wouldn't even try to adapt to online pricing or attempt to keep customers coming into there brick and mortar locations instead getting the customer accustomed to just ordering online and eliminating there brick and mortar store and the staff that works there

We just built a pool with Pool Stop and had an excellent experience all the way through. We worked with Casey for the design and he was really collaborative with us and gave us ideas at the same time. Our project manager, Victor, was very responsive and professional and always did what he said he would and showed up when he said he would. We also had great customer service from Ryan who helped coordinate all the contractors during the process.

Our pool is gorgeous and they have really been top notch. Having never owned or built a pool, we were very impressed. And we used PS based on reviews from other neighbors. Most of the people in our neighborhood with pools use them for service even if they didn't build with them initially. Would def recommend and am surprised to see so many negative reviews on Yelp!

No refunds on chemicals and not posted was told it was a OSHA reg, but was to it was on the receipt yes it is and that's after the fact that you bought idiots

4/29/2015 for over a year the owner of pool stop has been telling us our pump noise was normal I contacted zodiac and got our pump replaced. And low and behold no noise now. The funny thing about it is the tech that pool stop sent out even said this was not normal. So we have 3 people from zodiac and 1 person from pool stop all saying it not normal!

And the owner saying it is normal. The tech they sent out was one on the best I have seen in the business he was honest and had a great deal of integrity about the work he was doing. I have a great deal of trust in him and his abilities. If you do happen to use pool stop ask for Tim he is the best they have. GREAT JOB TIM!

Called the store to complain about my pool pump pumping air bubbles into the pool (because the water level was too low). Colby said that's not their job? I pay them for a weekly service and I have to add watery self?! What am I paying them for? Don't use them and I too will find somebody else! If that's their Culture! Sounds like if they burn up ur pool pump -- more business. Your problem according to Colby!
