Mr. Mason proved to be a real craftsman. We had two ceiling areas that were damaged and needed repair and painting. We were impressed by the way he enclosed the work area to confine the dust. During the repair he took the time to get our input to ensure we would be satisfied with the results. He was able to match our paint colors perfectly, and the finished product looked like new.

He cleaned up when done and left our home in good order. We are very happy with his workmanship, pricing and professionalism in repairing our drywall damage, and highly recommend him to those needing his services.

This was our second time using Dr. Drywall (Dewey). In 2018, we used his service and he did excellent work. This time, there was definitely a difference and we let him know it. He was to paint rental property for us. He started two days later than scheduled because of another job, but assured us once he started with us, we would get the same dedication.

Once he started all was going well, until he stopped to return to the previous job. We had to reschedule other contractors. He returned and finished, but we were not pleased with several areas. While my husband was discussing his dissatisfaction, Dewey was talking over him, explaining why it was done that way. I asked him what was happening because he was not like this on the previous job.

He told me, "Each job is different." I told him that's true, but your work ethic should not change with the job. He agreed to come back the next day, and make the corrections, plus additional work to the ceiling for an additional fee. He came back, started the work and later called my husband to say he was leaving because he had another job. He didn't do everything agreed to, and I have to admit, he did not charge us the last fee we agreed to. He said he had to leave because there was a lot of tension. I told him he left because he had another job, it was all about the money.

Dr. Drywall Company did an incredible job for us. He has done great work for us multiple times and always meets commitments. He has done drywall repair, sheet rock installation, tape and texture, popcorn removal, and changed walls from wallpaper to texture and painted. He was very diligent at matching existing textures and finishes. This Dr. is also very knowledgeable on "open wall surgery" when it is required to make it right.

He works very hard, prices are very fair and a great value, and he sticks to his commitments. I have to have the jobs done right and Dr. Drywall exceeds expectations. Highly recommended.

Excellent job and very professional! He stopped by within 30 minutes of calling and gave me an estimate on the spot! He repaired several large holes in our kitchen and garage ceiling after we had a major electrical work done. He repaired all the holes and matched the texture and paint perfectly! You can't even tell we had holes at all! He has 30 years of experience and it shows.

He was able to get it all dried and painted within a few hours. We have an open concept home, so he set down tarp and put up plastic coverings to contain the dust/paint to the work area. He was very professional and answered all of my questions and concerns. Very happy, will definitely use again in the future!

After being stood up by another dry wall company, we started a new search and found Dr. DryWall - Dewey. This time, we went on the BBB website and saw that this company has an A+ rating. Previous company, unbeknownst to us, had a rating of D+. We called Dewey, he came to our home and gave an estimate and told us when he could start. He came as he said and started immediately.

We had water damage in various areas upstairs - one area has a very high ceiling, which he had to use a scaffold. He protected our furniture and flooring and had all his materials with him. Dewey was totally focused on this job, which took 2 days. He matched the paint perfectly and replaced the wallpaper that had to be moved. He also cleaned up - removed the coverings, swept, removed paint where needed, nothing was damaged.

To us, he was professional, had excellent work ethics and detailed. He also did not change his pricing. What he quoted us is what he billed us for. We were very pleased with his work and will definitely use him again, if needed.

HORRIBLE customer service and rude. We had work scheduled twice with Dewey; the first time he had another project and never called to let us know he wasn't coming and the second time he apparently showed up but didn't bother calling when we didn't answer the door. If you want something done timely, find someone else, not this guy.

Did an excellent job and very reasonable price did everything in order to make customer happy even went out of his way! Dewy is a very experienced contractor and knows what he is doing very quick and efficient the best I have ever seen! I have gotten several quotes but by far his was the lowest and what sold me was his before and after pictures of his work on his website. Trust me no need to look else where hire Dr. Drywall for all of your interior renovations needs!

We hired Mr. Mason (Dr. Drywall Co.) to work on some project inside the house. We gave him 5 stars because he did excellent job for us. His quote is reasonable. Actually, after he started the job, we found out that we should expand the project much more than initially planned. We discussed with him and he was very helpful. He agreed to work on the new plan. He finished the job as discussed. We will definitely recommend him to our friends if they need some help as we did.

Fantastic. Professional and was able to repair our ceiling and match the texture perfectly. He had all of the equipment to spray on a popcorn texture. Nice guy and we will definitely keep his number for future projects. Good price, too. We randomly found him online and saw he had good reviews. Glad we went with him.

Dr. Drywall (Dewey) has a serious hearing loss and I believe that was the beginning of the poor review. Perhaps she got snippy and Dewey didn't handle it well. Dewey is nothing short of a drywall artist! He is dependable, punctual, and reasonable with his pricing. He patched several hole in the drywall at my home caused from the search for a gas leak and some remodeling. I defy anyone to find the patch - you can't do it because Dewey matched the texture perfectly. I can't say enough about this man's skill. AWESOME!

I had high hopes and the owner Dewey Mason seemed like he was going to do a good job. He did not show up for the job like promised, and never made an attempt to contact me. I reached out to him three different times and never got the courtesy of a return call or email. I called his office the fourth time and did get a call back, but he had nothing but lame excuses and was incredibly rude. After he hung up on me, I was glad we never did business. I highly recommend finding someone more professional and reliable.

I had scheduled for drywall repair during the middle of a home theater install which required sheet rock work before the install could be completed. I had taken the day off of work, and had confirmed with this guy twice, the last time being less than 24 hours before. Both times I called to confirm he claimed website problems had prevented him from receiving my work order. However, the day before he had assured me on the phone that he would be there at 1 pm.

Not only did he not show, but his phone was turned off, and he did not return the messages I left. Needless to say the entire install was ruined. In my opinion, this guy is unreliable, unprofessional, and I do not recommend him to anyone.

Horrible customer service. I left a message for this company for a quote on a damanged ceiling, Mr. Dewy Mason called me back and left a message asking me to call him back to speak with him over my request. i did so and he rudely said that he had is charging his phone so I offered to call him back which he declined. He asked if I wanted to answer the ringing phone on my end which there was none, he then said that the format was messed up and hung up on me.

I sent him a text message explaining that he was very unprofessional. They have a great website and that is one of the factors of calling this company but from the 1 phone conversation I am happy that I will not be giving my business to a person that does not know how to treat people. I will also be posting a photo of the text message to him along with his response. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE-DO NOT GIVE YOUR $$$ TO THIS BUSINESS.

I am surprised at the former review for Dr. Drywall. There must have been some sort of misunderstanding between Dewey and his client that culminated into his client's dissatisfaction. Dewey removed paneling and repaired water damage in the drywall of our 1963 era den. I elected not to have any texture done on the walls, only paint (a smooth finish) - his work turned out beautifully. Dewey worked for almost 2 weeks and finished the job satisfactorily. The work was done in 2013.

Calling Dr Drywall was a great decision! He quickly provided an affordable/fair price over the phone (all I had to do was describe the problem - I stepped through the ceiling sheetrock while I was walking in my attic above my son's bedroom). Because he has 27+ years experience in the drywall business, he knew exactly what the job was going to entail.

He also told me (over the phone) exactly how long it would take him to complete the job. He arrived on time and quickly went to work repairing my ceiling drywall. He didn't change his price when he saw the job (some companies do the bait and switch). He honored what he told me. I could sense from talking with him he is honest person (and not trying to squeeze money out of me).

I was amazed how great the job looked when completed (he matched the ceiling texture perfectly). He also fixed some drywall in my kitchen ceiling at a great price. My home looks brand new again. I highly recommend Dr Drywall for any drywall repair need or installation. His prices are affordable, and the quality of his work is top notch. And he provides free estimates (doesn't charge). I called and asked for a quote from several local Dallas contractors to repair and paint holes left my drywall from a flat screen TV. While not the most convincing via email (something I attribute to his lack of computer savvy) Dewey Mason is the gentleman who corresponded with me via email and who I eventually hired based on responsiveness and pricing. Dewey arrived early at my apartment and took a look at the project before getting items he didn't need from his car and messing everything up.

My impression of him was that he is a genuinely nice person, and is there to do quality work. He asked if he could sit on my sofa and if it would be okay if he listened to a radio (one he brought) quietly while he watched the paint dry to ensure uniform coverage. "Uhh, yea - you absolutely can Dewey; thanks for asking". (!) I get that grandpa feeling from him, super nice guy.

He is someone you want to hire just to help him out, ya know "the little guy". Now, don't take this the wrong way- he did excellent work. I am not hiring him because I feel bad, or out of some notion of altruism. Dewey's work was top notch, and I would not hesitate to hire him for all my drywall or general contracting needs!
