We had frozen pipes, furnace not working and they answered the call within 1 hour. Doug and Dan worked non stop for 4 hours and fixed all our issues. They were professional, courteous and knowledgeable. The company is responsive, courteous and reliable. They are our go to for plumbing and heating. Thank you so much.

Great work. They did plumbing for our bathroom remodel and are coming back tomorrow to finish the job. Losing one star for communication issues trying to circle back to schedule a time to finish everything. I understand the business had been swamped with emergency jobs amid personal life events. Totally get it, and will update after tomorrow when they come to wrap up the bathroom.

Never before have I offered a review of any service; positive or negative. BUT I feel I must for this company On Call Plumbing in Saratoga Springs, NY. They DID replace/repair a sewer pipe upon our first call (July 2021), but never returned to repair the hole in the wall or ceiling. One month later discovered water dripping from ceiling. Called them back to identify the issue.
They provided an estimate (August 2021) to replace the upstairs drain pipes in the bathroom, and remodel the bathroom to return to usable condition. We could NEVER get them back to complete-still with the original holes in the downstairs ceiling! I was trying to coordinate this project from another state, with a two hour time difference-and after several phone calls to them - (the person who answered would always be different, and would never provide their name unless asked) they would take a message and I was told they would call me back, or said they would come by the next day-BUT never would!
Of course, after notifying the tenant-no one would show! This scenario would happened for 2 months. I finally fired them Oct 26, 2021. I found another plumbing company- which were much more professional-that completed the job start to finish in one week's time for a better price!

I own multiple properties and have been using On-Call for many years. I have a big ol' Victorian in Saratoga and the furnace and A/C units were 25+ years old. On-Call has come to my rescue many times. I am also a Realtor and have had issue with HVAC in homes I have represented and they have never disappointed. After helping me to keep two furnaces and two central A/C units limping along for the past 5 years, I decided to replace the whole kit and caboodle.
I got MULTIPLE quotes and know more about HVAC systems than I would have ever thought possible. Not only has On-Call serviced me extremely well on my old units, they installed both furnaces and bot AC units with a team of guys (at least 6) making it possible to have the work completed in one day. Larry, who gave me the estimate, has been with this family owned and run business for you 17 years.
He was honest, communicative and punctual. Their quote was 60% less than some of the big hitters in the area and true to their word, my estimate was exactly what I was charged. I will always call On-Call - in the Saratoga area many companies have gotten a bit big for their britches but they remain true to the sense of family owned and operated businesses, are fair and always a pleasure to deal with.

WOW! I am keeping this place on speed dial! On-Call Mulholland is Responsive, reasonable - HONEST! My story: First I had a competitor, J2 Plumbing come and told me it was going to cost $4800 for a new AC unit because they couldn't repair (after not showing up, me calling again and rescheduling over 3 times in 2 days). I then called On-Call Mulholland P&H who came within 1 hour! Turned out it was a simple, inexpensive repair (under $150 total) I won't use anyone else. I highly recommend!.

Not happy at all. Sadly I was unable to get my regular plumber to fix sooner. The actual work in my home was 1 h and 20 min. After taking an hour to figure out problem they left to get part across town. Apparently it was out of stock and had to get elsewhere. Nobody told me this so I had to call and ask "Where are they?" Finally, 6 hours after time of appointment one of the guys returns and installs it in 20 min.
But my bill is for 3.5 hours! I called to simply have bill explained to me and the woman on the phone was immediately defensive. She explained that the bill looks legit to them. She offers nothing and makes me ask specific questions. So, apparently, living in Wilton requires much travel time from Saratoga which apparently I am charged for. The fact that they disappeared for 6 hours without explanation means nothing.
The fact that I had to call to find out if they were returning means nothing. The fact that the part had to be delivered apparently is my problem. I was told I should be happy they didn't charge me delivery fees or to pay the person to retrieve the part - something my regular plumbing company said would be absurd! So what were the 2+ billed hours for?
Never got an answer. Why did they not explain their billing practice when they left the house? When done I expected to pay or be told the price and he said he didn't know. I know for sure it would have been better waiting the extra day without hot water than to deal with Mulholland. I've already confirmed with my regular company that they do NOT operate like this.
I would have been charged a reasonable fee for house call and diagnosis. Labor and parts would have been time spent in house. They would have assumed responsibility for not having a part in stock and would NEVER charge a customer for time spent getting the part.

Mike runs a great crew and honest business. His team responded rapidly and professionally to our need for a new well pump and water heater. They quoted a fair price and stuck to it, and John and Tyler did great work installing the new stuff and removing the old. John also very clearly explained how the new system worked and how to change water filter, etc. We were only off water for a couple hours at a time!
