I engaged Klotzbach Custom Builders & Remodelers to construct an addition on my home after speaking to numerous other builders. When we met Steve, he explained how our vision could be realized and what would NOT be cost effective. After learning that two of our neighbors had used Steve for several large projects and were very pleased, we selected Klotzbach.

I can't say that Klotzbach was the cheapest option we looked at, but I can say after living in the addition for almost six months that we love it more today than when we originally took occupancy. We feel like we got a very fair price for a great quality product that comes with continuing excellent service. We always knew the schedule, when Steve and his team indicated something would be done, it was.no exception.

If there was a glitch, we knew why. He was thorough, takes quality seriously, and great at communication. We were always contacted before we had a question. They were also on schedule and kept the work area clean and organized. All the subcontractors who worked on the project were also very professional and easy to work with. I would highly recommend Klotzbach to anyone who is considering a remodeling project and we look forward to continuing to work with him in the future.

Klotzbach Custom Builders & Remodelers are down to earth and easy to work with. Steve created the perfect layout for our addition and offered a great choice of finishes. Their pricing is extremely reasonable and the final cost of the project was within budget. The staff is professional and easy to get along with. The project was finished within a timely manor. Don't do it! Over charged on EVERYTHING. The job is finished, but I still have no electrical in one of my rooms. I had to break into my own house because they put my key into a lock box, and I had no idea what the combo was. So now I have to pay for a new door, and installation. The kitchen is nice, but I did not like the way the owner communicated with me. BEWARE

Great local family company from the initial quote to the execution of your home project. The craftsmanship is five star and very professional. They work directly with the client to ensure the vision an outcome are aligned. Recommend checking them out- you won't be disappointed. Friendly customer service designers like Gina are among the top employees who make this business stand out.

If I could give no stars I would. Got a quote for a simple galley kitchen remodel. 11,500 for just the labor. We had to buy cabinets and fixtures. When I told the owner he was out of his mind on the pricing and we were going with another company his response was gladly. BEWARE

I had this company remodel my bathroom about a year ago. This was my first and last project with this company. I do not recommend this company for a multitude of reasons. The communication and organization was nearly nonexistent. The owner, Steve, was standoffish and moody and did an unacceptable job of communicating with me and his office staff. He was nearly impossible to get ahold of and was extremely difficult to work with.

The workmanship was acceptable in some areas and hacked up in others. Plaster was damaged, a floor joist was cut out and not reinforced, a doorframe was cracked by a storm door the painter left open (which was caught by the wind, pulling the piston out of the frame), my house was left unoccupied and unlocked by the painter on one occasion and bathroom fixtures were left in the basement work area and subsequently broken, to which Steve refused to make right.

On one occasion, workers showed up smelling like alcohol. At the end of the project, Steve's carpenter came with him to remove the lockbox from my home. His carpenter shook my hand, thanking me for my business, while Steve stood by his van, scowling and saying nothing. I cannot in good faith use this company for my next project, nor can I recommend this company to friends, family or otherwise.

Exceptional craftsmanship. We experienced a leak well after the 1 year contract was up and they fixed everything at no additional cost. They certainly stand behind their work.

Needed dry wall done in bathroom on short notice. They were able to come out very quickly and did a fantastic job and were quick and efficient. My only complaint is that they were very unprofessional when it came to letting us know what was happening and when, and they threw in extra charges that weren't called for, for example we got charged for them to go to the store to buy supplies.why am I paying you to go shop when you probably bought materials for other jobs as well?

When I called to ask why they just got snippy and said well it's part of it and that's all I could get out of them. The workers would tend to show up without calling ahead and left for the day without saying anything of when they would be back and we were left to assume it would be the same time next day. Like I said aside from some stuff on that side of the coin the work was done beautifully just don't expect to much professionalism from workers and watch your bill at the end.

I have been blown away with the craftsmanship of Klotzbach Custom Builders. Steve and his team are a world class team. I am very thankful I decided to use them for my home addition in Westlake.

I used this company to do a remodel in our home and they did a great job. I would have given them five stars if the owner Steve wasn't such a moody jerk. I've left him several messages because I wanted to have them do another project but he won't call me back. I'm thinking it's because we had a leak in a toilet they installed and he seemed put out to have to come back and fix it. His workers are excellent but Steve.not so much!
