Josh from Clover Electric has been to my house several times this past year as I purchased a new home and wanted several changes. After the first time he came he was so knowledgeable, personable, yet professional that I decided Clover was the ONLY electricians that were going to step foot in my house! Clover offers several options and ALWAYS leaves your house better than they found it.

They clean up every spec of debris associated with their job including taking the boxes of your new lights and your old lights if you do desire. They are simply the best. You can rest assured and sleep well knowing the job was done right!

Greg gave us a thorough and professional assessment and estimate concerning our issue regarding installation of heating cables. We are currently deciding if we will move forward with this project.

Called Clover for an estimate to repair and/or replace the main breaker panel in my home and was told that the earliest a technician could come was around 2 months later. This was (obviously) an incredibly long lead time, considering several other electricians were able to come out the same week. I had heard good things about Clover's work, so I decided to wait and see what they had to say.

A couple of weeks later, I received a call that there was a cancellation and a tech could come that day. This wasn't necessarily the most convenient thing for me, but I told them to come out. The technician who came was professional and seemed to do a thorough job (including a '15-point safety check'), although he made some hyperbolic comments during his visit about the urgency of the situation along the lines of, "your existing panel could burst into flames at any moment, " in order to encourage me to schedule the service as soon as possible. Unfortunately, the quote he gave me was FOUR TIMES as much as what I ended up paying someone else to do the exact same job, so I would have to be insane to have considered it seriously.

I think, like a lot of contractors these days, Clover has plenty of work, so they throw out crazy prices just in case a few suckers agree to pay them and Clover walks away with a tidy profit. Oh, and I had to pay Clover's $80 fee for the 'privilege' of being given an unrealistic quote. Thanks a lot. I recommend you shop around with a couple of other shops that won't charge you simply to show up before you ever call Clover. It's just not worth the hassle.

I contacted Clover to install some outlets in my 100+ year old house. While that was expensive (as I expected), the installer identified a huge safety issue that I was unaware of. There was standing water in my panel! I am not tall enough, so I never noticed it. They provided me options and then were able to immediately (the next day) install the full panel replacement.

They were nothing but professional, kind, and took the time to explain things to me so that I could understand. I appreciate the Clover team and especially Randall! Thanks for providing great service!

Josh did a great job assessing our needs and requirements, did great work, and I would definitely recommend Clover to others. Josh replaced a 3 prong clothes dryer outlet with a 4 prong, replaced 4 outlets that were broken, replaced a faulty garage flood light, and performed a safety inspection. I will be calling them in the future for more work items.

Excellent experience! Greg was courteous and professional. He explained the work in detail and offered a few options/costs. He even cleaned up thoroughly after the job was completed. It's great to know the work was done right the first time! I will definitely use Clover for any future electrical issues. Services: Electrical outlet & switch repair, Fan repair

Very friendly and professional! Very responsive with great communication! I called to request service and was given a date a few weeks out. They called later that day to let me know they had a cancellation and came out the next day to install a new dryer outlet in my new home. They also provided quotes for additional work to be completed at a later date. Highly recommend Clover Electric!

Firstly, my interactions with Clover staff were always professional and friendly. They were hired to install a light in my basement and did so on-time and efficiently (though the price tag was nearly $600). Less than a week later, power to my washer unit and two dehumidifiers next to the light went out and the breaker they were attached to was broken.

We had never had problems with that breaker before (in five years), so I naturally called Clover and asked them to take a look to see if there had been a mistake in installation. They sent a tech out and then charged me $255 to "repair a breaker" they said was unrelated to my basement light. I asked if they had noticed the problem prior to installing my light and they said no. They also brushed off my comments about this not having been a problem prior to their visit. Sadly, I won't be recommending them to others.

Waited 2 months to get an appointment for a quote on roof deicing cables. Technicians came out, were very friendly. They called back to the office to quote my project. They quoted over $6000, I have multiple competitor quotes for less than half their price. They offered no explanation why their price was not competitive. They also offered no other options to lower price.

It was take it or leave it. I guess they have so much business they do not care. Then I had to pay their $79 fee to get their estimate. I'm sorry I called them in the first place. Highly NOT RECOMMENDED

Clover Electric used "Scare Tactics" on Me, as a Woman, based on their Lie, that I needed aluminum wiring changed to copper wiring in the electrical box, without even verifying this themselves by removing the face of the electrical box, as told to me by Supervisor Dean that technician made an assumption, also stating what bad shape the outside wiring from home to street and from electric meter was in.

This was Not True! As verified by removing the face of the electrical box by a second estimate from another electrician who came right after Clover left my home, I already had copper wiring! The wiring was not bad from street to home or from Electric meter either. "Scare Tactics" used is Horrible to use on a Single Woman! RUN! A $7,800.00 estimate was given for replacing the electrical box and wiring from home to street and from electric meter, based on inconclusive, Wrong Evidence! Stating that tec wasn't able to reach anyone in the office to see if estimate could be lowered.

When he finally was able to reach someone in the office, they said they would lower the estimate to $7,400.00, only if I would purchase the premium surge protector, which cost over $800.00.

I installed a ceiling fan in my bedroom on my own that kept tripping the circuit. I couldn't figure out the problem and saw an ad for Clover and called. The lady I spoke to was very nice, but when I asked her about pricing, she said there was no way she could give me that over the phone without it being looked at. The tech came on time, spent about 15 seconds looking at the fan, went to his van for 20 minutes, and came back and quoted me three options, the cheapest being $479 just to examine the fan and fix if the fan was not the problem. $479!

And that was if the fan wasn't the problem. I got stuck with a $79 charge to come out and a folder full of Clover Electric info should I want to join their plan. I could not close the door quickly enough when he left. I highly recommend you not waste your time and money on this company that I bet makes most of its money on the $79 charge and in ripping off people stupid enough to fork over $500 for something that was probably a very simple fix.

Read Next Door Neighbor reviews for electricians and chose Clover. I had plugged in the vacuum in a basement outlet, and suddenly the canned lights and some wall receptacles didn't work, as well as the landscape lights which are wired in to the same system. Clover came out two days later. After checking out the breaker box and using a tool to check the receptacle the electrician and I went over three written options.

All were highly priced, and still not knowing the entire problem, I agreed to the cheapest option, and we went from there. Chatting with the electricians they seemed knowledgeable and sincere so I permitted them to carry on. After two hours the issues were fixed. The $79 "in the door" or "coming out" charge was an added line on the bill, which was to be included in service. That was promptly fixed. The service I needed was not warranted which is a concern. Check the website before you call.

Hate to leave bad reviews, but my mom is an elderly person living on the west side of Cleveland and she was bilked by this business. she does her best to stay independent and not involve us in home repairs. They billed her $6,000 and instead of getting another bid or contacting us, she agreed and has taken out a loan to pay it off. I live out of state and asked a friend whoworks as a certified electrician how much she should have paid for the job done.

He said for two men, less than two days labor, to rewire her (small) electrical box should have been less than $3000. He says for $6000, the whole house could have been rewired, and he would have done her yard work and washed her car for a year, maybe two! My sister who still lives in the area contacted the business to ask for an invoice and summary of the charges and Clover electric refused to provide her one.

She contacted the better Business bureau but was told they only addresses bad work, not unethical billing practices. My mom does not want the stress (yet) of having this company investigated by the local news stations and newspapers so unless we hire a lawyer, the bad guy wins. Another elderly person taken advantage of. Deplorable.

Needed to have the outside electric meter replaced. Electrician came out as scheduled for a quote. Told us our whole inside electric panel needed replaced too, that it was not up to code. Paid them their quote fee ($79) and said goodbye. Got another quote. Clover's quote was 5-1/2 times what the repair cost was from another very large and reputable local electric contractor. AND, our panel did NOT need to be replaced.

Possible that the youngish electrician read the situation incorrectly. But he gave us a lower quote then it went up considerably upon his consultation with his office. Would never call them again and Fox 8 should drop them as advertisers.

Requested Clover Electric to come to my house to give me some estimates on electrical work I wanted done. Ahead of the appointment time the electricians provided me with an update on how long it would be before they arrived. They arrived on time and were very professional. Entering the house they put on dirt protectors so they didn't track any dirt into my house.

They listened to my needs and provided options for completing the work along with an estimate. During the work they covered the work area so they didn't mess up my house. Once the work was done they did a final cleaning (including vacuuming) and explained everything that was done. The final cost was exactly as they had committed to in their initial estimate.

Very impressed with the service and time to complete the work provided. Chris (Electrician) along with his assistant represent Clover Electric very well. Highly recommend Clover Electric for anyone who needs electric work done at their house.

We needed tow ceiling fans replaced any separate a switch. We purchased the ceiling fans ahead of time. They showed up and gave us a ridiculous estimate of $3,000.00 to change the two fans out and separate the switch. We opted not to use them because of the high cost and they charge $79 just for them to come out. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

Had Dean from Clover Electric come out to give me an estimate on a problem with my kitchen lights. He quoted me $1500 to $2500 to fix the problem. Since that price was outrageous I declined service and paid the $79 estimate fee also outrageous. When he left I took a look at my wiring coming out of the ceiling and found the only problem to be a loose wire nut.

I gave it a quick tightening and what do you know, it worked. They wanted to run a brand new circuit. Update: Spoke with a gentleman from Clover this morning and cleared things up. Apparently there were other options that weren't presented. They took the time to call and explain and that meant a lot.

I made an appointment and the soonest available was a week out. The day of the appointment I stayed home from work and at approximately the time I was expecting to have the electrician at my house their office called to say they had an emergency and had to cancel for that day. (Understandable). But then they couldn't fit me in until yet another week out.

I asked if they could get me in sooner but no they couldn't just squeeze me. I ended up cancelling the reschedule due to my work schedule not working with the times they had. Very frustrating.

They charged $79 for an outrageously high quote for a simple job No negotiating. Is that fair?

Their quotes are outrageously high. A panel is not $6500 to upgrade. A recommendation on a fully licensed, insured and bonded electrician with a great reputation quoted us $1800 on the exact same job. He was also a fraction of Clover's extremely high septic line replacement cost. I don't understand why people would pay their prices. It's comical, tbh.

I've had you guys here.and the guy couldn't understand the problem. He left with "I'll check back with you and give you a call." Did I ever get the call. Nope. Plus your commercial is sooooo irritating. Not only is Larry Morrow irritating but its so useless to constantly flip the switch on and off and get a doorbell sound.

Lawrence and Dean came out to provide guidance on a couple items that appeared on my home inspection report. They were both professional, courteous, and each used shoe coverings as they walked through the house. I received a prompt diagnosis and repair options, which were very fair. They explained in detail what they were going to do, gave me an opportunity to ask questions, then completed the work in about 30 minutes.

Once complete, they showed me exactly what was done, answered my questions fully and provided a detailed invoice that outlined the completed work. I have used Clover in the past and their staff continues to be responsive and professional. They are not inexpensive, but I appreciate the fact that they stand behind their work and are pleasant to work with. I'll continue to call Clover for future electrical work. Keep up the good work.

When I called them I was told someone would call me back within 24 hours. When no one did I called again. I got apologizes, excuses and another promise of a call back within 24 hours. Still waiting for that call 2 weeks later.

Clover Electric is OUTSTANDING! Chris and Dean are the ABSOLUTE BEST! My husband and I could not be happier with their work. They addressed our call quickly, reported to our home on time, were incredibly professional, honest, helpful, and cleaned up after their work. I would hire these two again in a heartbeat. We trust them implicitly, and they did a fantastic job replacing our ceiling fan in the Master Bedroom and figuring out an issue with the bathroom fan/ventilation in our attic. I cannot reiterate enough how please we are with Chris, Dean, and Clover Electric. 100% A+ THANK YOU SO MUCH!

They charge for coming out and doing an estimate - $79. And don't tell you ahead of time. No company should charge for an estimate if you already know what the problem is and don't need a diagnosis. Plus, they were more than 3 times higher than my highest bid. Don't trust them.

Shop around and get competing quotes. Clover Electric's quote was almost 6 times higher than their competition to do the exact same work (upgrade an outdated 60A fuse box to a modern 100A breaker cabinet). They even charged a non-refundable fee just to quote the job. Always get multiple quotes! It's a pain, but it saved me $4,900 in this case. They did seem professional and courteous, but so was the company that did the work for much, much less.

I had a crazy situation with some electrical wiring that my dog ate during a fit of rage. She managed to chew through a door frame and take out the wiring to my rear doorbell and 2 light switches on separate walls, that powered an overhead hall light. Dan T. came to the rescue offering me 3 different solutions. He took his time to trace the wiring back to the source of power to ensure it was safe, completely killed the circuit for me (at my request, due to my budget), but he also tried to save one of the switches but wasn't comfortable with keeping it powered due to potential safety issues. He was very friendly, and efficient. I would highly recommend him! Also, the Customer Care Rep, Stephanie is a doll as well! She was a pleasure to chat with! Thanks Clover!
