Shenandoah Air Conditioning & Heating recently installed a split unit in my house, and I couldn't have been more pleased with the entire process. Tina came out and provided the quote, and did a great job of explaining the options that I had. After I made my decision, she was very responsive and kept me in the loop throughout the process of the unit being shipped out and scheduling the service to be done, and answering the questions that I had. Petie and Ken installed the unit, and I really couldn't be happier with the excellent job that they did.
Not only did the installation itself look amazing, they also did a great job of communicating with us throughout the process. They were so friendly and professional, and they did an absolutely phenomenal job. And the unit itself far surpassed my expectations - for something so quiet, I can't believe how cool it has been keeping the house. I don't typically write reviews, but I chose this company because it had so many good ones, and I was not disappointed. I'd go with them again in a heartbeat. Thanks so much!

I bought a home just under 2 yrs ago. Shenandoah installed the trane hvac system and humidifier. I called today to ask for a quote to move the ac compressor unit temporarily for foundation repairs and then reinstall when repairs are complete. They will not quote without first charging $97 diagnostic fee. I dont care if they hold warranty on the equipment.
This is the worst customer service idea ever. Why wpuld anyone pay for a quote in this scenario. This means now they lose the real business. Eastern panhandle heating and air will get my business moving forward.

Had Shenandoah out to do a vent cleaning last Sept and asked the salesman about replacing exhaust fans which he said they could do. Also was told that we didn't need the downstairs air intake so we were to have that blocked off. The service employees seemed annoyed when they showed up and didn't want to do any of the things the sales guy had said they could.
They said they don't do exhaust fans which I have since learned is true but the sales guy should have known that and not told us they could. We even had an invoice that included these things that they had to correct when they were done the cleaning. The vents still didn't look great after the cleaning so it wasn't worth what we paid. I would not recommend dealing with Shenandoah.

We had a great experience with this company from start to finish. It started when Tina came out to observe our old unit. She was very knowledgeable, but still took time to listen to my concerns. She submitted her proposal in a timely manner and gave us time to make a decision (no constant call backs). Then the process stayed smooth from then on. The installers John and Josh showed up on our install date (early) and were very professional. Again, when ever I had a question they had no problem providing answers and at the completion of the install they took time on how to provide basic cleaning services and the best tempatures to run the systems on. They also stated if we needed any services, i.e., cleaning/warranty/etc just give them a call.

I recently had a compressor replacement completed by shenandoah. Their tech Bill completed this work done. Bill was very professional, polite, knowledgeable, and thorough with his work. We had a leak in our heat pump. Two other companies came out and did or would not fix it. Called Shenandoah Air and they sent a service tech out who was very friendly and helpful. He gave us a quote and said they would have to order a part. One week later he was back to fix our heat pump and they cost was exactly what he quoted us. The company has very good customer service. Thank you for all you did.

Bill and Ken came out in the pouring rain, with no questions asked, taken out my old system that went bad, installed a new system and did a awesome job. Outside unit was done in the pouring rain, where Shenandoah had a couple extra technicians come in to help out since conditions was bad. Existing air handler was in the attic, where they had to disassemble, remove and install new. Very hard and dirty work, they cleaned up and made it looked as if they was never here. Hats off to them and Shenandoah. Thanks for a great job.

My wife made an appointment to have them troubleshoot a problem with a system I self installed. Chuck arrived on time, was able to troubleshoot and fix the problem quickly. I give this company zero stars. They put in what they said was a top-of-the-line unit two years ago. We paid for one year of maintenance they were also maintaining our unit upstairs that was 16 years old. Both units needed repair as The one they put in wasn't coming on at all and the one upstairs was leaking through the ceiling. The technician came in and said that we had a leaky pressure valve on the outside unit and it shut down the whole thing.
To replace the valve the estimate was $1200. He said the upstairs unit had a broken pan. The upstairs unit quote was 800 and some dollars. The fee for coming and letting us know this was $350. I didn't have a good feeling about this guy or the company as my unit was only two years old. I called in a different company to check it out next day.
He fixed both units for under $450 and found no faulty valve but Small leak on the piston on the inside unit. I stayed with him the whole time to learn more about things. All of the valves were open and there were no caps on anything. The inside unit the coils were completely clogged. Shenandoah never serviced our units at all! The upstairs unit was just a clogged drain.
The technician simply blew through it and it was fixed. So the technician for Shenendoah completely missed diagnosed both units and was going to charge us over $2000 plus the 350 dollar fee for diagnostic. They totally were scamming us. I come to find out that this was the bottom line product they put in and charged us 6500$ We could have had the same product put in for half.

I did after much yelling and screaming, I got the $350 back. The only reason I'm giving it one star is because you can't post a review with zero stars.

I called Shenandoah because there was no cool air blowing from our vents and I see their vans all over town. A very friendly gentleman came the same day at 1:30, diagnosed, fixed and advised all before 2:15. He had the part in his van and it was less than $300 for everything. I just recently worked with a home warranty company for my other A/C unit and was expecting a long drawn out process. I am so incredibly grateful. Fast, friendly and knowledgable!

We had to call Shenandoah HVAC to investigate musty smells coming out of the registers. They sent Terry. I don't know about the rest of the employees, but I can tell you, working with Terry was effortless. He cleaned cleaned the coils and investigated for other sources of musty smell. He made great recommendations. He was professional, intelligent, and got the job done expertly.
We were very pleased. My only complaint is that Shenandoah scheduled for 1:30p, then tried to switch to 9:30a on the day of the appointment, after I had already arranged my work schedule. Then then pushed the appointment to 3pm but didn't actually show up until nearly 3:30p. But if you're working with Terry, he's worth the wait (if you can be flexible about scheduling). Recommended. We will definitely call them again if we have HVAC issues in the future.
