A Utica Boiler almost burnt down my house this morning. Less than 2 years old! The low water shutoff didn't work, the boiler ran dry, and a fire started. My house and life were only saved because I shut off the power to it. My contractor called Utica Boilers / ECR and they refused to do anything because the warranty ended after just 1 year. President of the company shrugged it off and clearly doesn't care. They are selling faulty products that can kill people and destroy houses.

DO NOT BUY. Ours caught FIRE due to a faulty safety feature. Our house could have burnt to the ground, or if we didn't detect, we could have DIED. They don't give a F*ck. They are not replacing anything because it's not within warranty. IT'S TWO YRS OLD. "it is what it is". That's what the president of Utica Boilers told us. I know a lot of people in real estate and contractors. I will be spreading the word for the safety of others and for the F*CK YOU FACTOR. One star is a hundred stars too many.

Do not buy a CCB-150. I have had nothing but problems on a unit that I was told would be reliable and top performer. Numerous visits from their service technicians were made to my house. The first trying to resolve an A48 error which would shut the unit down. They installed monitoring equipment which remained connected to my unit for over two weeks for their engineers to acquire data to troubleshoot the issue.
I was told that a new board being developed would solve the issues. I conveyed that I would rather have a conventional boiler however ECR service rep assured me that the newer computer board on CCB -150 would resolve the issues. All I can say is I am only about two years in with the replacement unit and infrequent hot water. My neighbor experienced the same issues as we both had the CCB-150 boilers installed, after his second unit still proved unreliable he scrapped and replaced with a conventional gas boiler. I would not recommend the combo CCB-150, though you may be told it is a proven technology stay away.

I purchased ECR's top of the line boiler ECR97gb. I have had nothing but problems with it, after a couple of years the whole unit had to be replaced at my expense due to "water damage". Another couple years and the combustion blower stopped working and I paid to have it replaced. Now this year the blower was bad again 1 year after I replaced it. ECR ignored me when I told them about the problem which is in cool basements, warm air from the outside air intake condensates on the blower housing then drips on the blower control board and corrodes and shorts it out. I do not recommend this product or now ECR for their poor customer service.

Expressing experience with your product. I have got model#CCB-150 mfg: "ECR international" installed in a town house back 2016 winter. Have been regretting since then! Worst boiler, problematic operation, poor reliability, manuals lack critical information. Poor customer relationship from Mfg rep! Since installed made numerous service calls to get this fixed.
Don't want to keep this boiler anymore- Ending up replacing with totally different type boiler.
