Services
From the time he was a young child, Gene would take apart everything in the house to figure out how it works. From small appliances to television sets, he just always liked the inner workings. As a child he once designed and built a hang glider out of an old tent and "allowed" his brother Randy to be the first one to try it out by jumping off the top of the house. Although that invention didn't work out so well for him, or his brother Randy, the fascination for designing and building never left him.
Total Home Improvements was founded in 1991 by brothers Gene and Randy Firth. Gene was a real estate agent, working for a builder/developer. Randy had recently gotten out of a business with his father. In his business, Gene had discovered that many people who were selling their homes needed repairs done before they could close.
It was refreshing to see such pride in workmanship, and the attention to detail such as sanding the handrails, placing finals on the gate post and the clean-up that followed completion of the project. We are also pleased that we have been able to refer Total to friends and business associates, many of whom have already contracted with you as well.
Sean Thompson started as a project manager for Total Home Improvements and now heads the production team as Production Manager. Beginning his construction career in Alaska, Sean is a trim carpenter by trade who has worked as a contractor for over 29 years in seven different states in commercial and both single-family and multi-family residential construction.

THI provided shell construction of a 12x20 brick addition. The final product is superb. Our desire was that the addition look like an original part of the house. THI helped to match the brick patterns and shingles. installation of brick/mortar and shingles is seamless. Company was professional and kept us up-to-date on schedules. Tony, the on-site manager, was quick to answer questions and accommodate a change order. Overall, very happy with the process and product.

For the second time in two years we have used Total Home Improvement for home upgrades and have been extremely pleased with both projects. Their employees provide great, friendly service and are willing to take the time to listen to your requests. Then they work hard to accomplish an extremely professional finished project. We will continue to call them for all our home improvement projects in the future!

Unprofessional and poor customer service. Ken came to my home 4 times over the course of 3 months to gather information and measurements for a kitchen renovation. Never once did he state that they don't do new cabinets. After patiently waiting several weeks after his last visit, I was suddenly told the owner said I'd be better off with a cabinet company. This was disrespectful of my time. I will gladly go with the other contractor who truly provides a "total home" service.

Hello, I am pleased to see that some people had a good experience with this supplier. I was not so fortunate. I hired this company to do a relatively small job at my house, something that would take one or two days to do. Well, when they were done, I inspected their work and found several serious discrepancies. They came back to fix those. I inspected again and found they didn't fix the discrepancies very well, and I discovered additional concerns.
They came back a second time, and again didn't do so well for me. I ended up arranging with others to re-do most of their work. I hope my experience was a one-off, and that your results are better than mine.

Great business to work with. I had the pleasure of working with Matt on a recent home project. He was courteous, professional and extremely knowledgeable. The work by Total Home Improvements is excellent and I think it adds value to our home. I would recommend Total Home Improvements and look forward to working with them on future home upgrades.

We had a great experience with Total Home Improvement. Everyone on the team was professional, knowledgeable, personable, prompt, hard working and trust worthy. They kept us informed throughout the process of our new roof installation (home/garage, carpentry work on the garage and guttering (on our garage). They were very thorough on cleanup as well. We are so glad we chose Total Home Improvement and will call on them for future projects on our home!

Remodeled master bath. Removed existing fiberglass shower insert and replaced with tile. Chris was project manger, Kristie the decor advisor and Matt the contractor. All very professional and responsive. Kristie was awesome with tile selection and color- trust her. Project on time and on budget. 100% happy! Highly recommend. This was our 2nd time we used Total Home Improvements to do some major work in our home. 13 years ago they put up a few walls on the first level and reconfigured our upstairs recreation space and painting. No regrets at all. This past couple of months we had them redo our Master bedroom, additional window installed, flex space off our master and a complete master bath remodel, and all common hallways and stairway custom 60 inch wainscoting with photo shelving and painting of all areas renovated and new toilet installed in hall bathroom. Painted front porch and replaced pillar and handrails. EXCELLENT from initial planning meeting to the completion of this project.
Every single member of Total home was helpful, respectful, and worked as if they were working on their own home to get the best outcome. My vision was achieved and the quality is outstanding. Now that this project is complete, plans for our next phase have begun.

We just finished a master bath remodel and closet addition and we are so happy with the job THI did. Doug was our project manager and he took great care with our project. He was always available for question and concerns and he stayed on top of all aspects. We miss him stopping by most days! We recently had a sunroom added on to our house by Total Home Improvements and were impressed with their pricing, quality of work, and reliability. We had gotten multiple quotes prior to the project - Total Home Improvement priced every detail for us so we knew exactly what we were getting. They were able to match our existing windows/crown molding/floors/etc.
Once the project started they were reliable in their work, and kept to the schedule they had initially given us. Our production manager, Kenny, was always coming over to check on the progress, kept us informed of any issues (of which there were one or two minor ones that were quickly taken care of), and made sure everything was just as we had wanted.
The quality of construction was excellent and we are thrilled with our room. Do not hesitate to use Total Home Improvement for any of your needs. we will never use anyone else!
