Leonard Builders is a 'design + build' residential contracting company, providing design, construction, remodeling and repair services for your home improvement projects. Design service: we enjoy meeting with clients to understand their needs and vision, and then creating drawings showing floor plans, elevation views, electrical schematic, and other information. Our quotes complete the package with many other specifications, schedule, and pricing. We believe in planning the work, and working the plan.

With a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Peter has been building and designing new homes and additions since leaving his career as a product design engineer in 1986. He enjoys working with customers to understand their individual needs and desires. Peter uses pencil on vellum to create plans for all of our projects, in addition to his management duties.
Our Mission is: To provide property owners in the Mount Washington Valley with creative designs, competent construction services and an easy contractor experience, using clear contracts, careful project management and friendly teamwork. We will use our best efforts so that: Property Owners in the Mount Washington Valley will hire Leonard Builders for all of their Design, Construction, Remodeling and Repair needs.

Because Leonard Builders has years of designing projects with our customers, we know what you're thinking, know what you're looking for, and have the answers to your questions. In a reasonable amount of time, we can turn your home improvement ideas into a real, executable, attractive design.
We are remodeled many parts of an old home that was converted from a barn. We developed plans for a third story master suite with the owners. Our carpenters replaced windows and doors, and moved walls to provide dramatic bedroom and bathroom areas. Spray in foam insulation will keep it warm, and will seal the rafters to help resist animal entry.

TERRIBLE. Reached out to Leonard Builders through their website. Waited a week, no reply. I called in November to set up an appointment to start on a rehab project. "We can't even look at it until February." Fine, we set up the meeting for February. They waited until January to announce that they were canceling the appointment and wouldn't take the job. No reason given. Unreliable and poor service.

Pete Leonard is an outstanding professional and his crew did a great job installing our windows and repairing our floors. The job was done in less than two days and done well. We will be having them removed some skylights next and highly recommend them for any remodeling or repair work you may need done at your home.
