The Klapprodt Pool Companies are family owned and operated. The founder, Fred Klapprodt, began building pools in 1987. Since that time, the name Klapprodt has become synonymous with quality and customer satisfaction in the swimming pool industry. He and his oldest son formed the current construction company in 1997.
Klapprodt Pools has experienced steady growth through the years and has expanded through the creation of a service company. Fred's other two sons, Jeremy and Josh, have since joined up with the companies, in addition to a number of longtime friends who do not share the last name, but the pride and workmanship that go with it.

Take control as far as you can - even right into the water with a wireless, waterproof remote.
Q: Your construction crew finished installing steel today and it looks like they forgot to form the steps. Is this the correct procedure? Q: We have a sprinkler system and there are stations located where the swimming pool will be installed. Do I need to do anything prior to the construction process?

My pump stopped working the day before the hard freeze. I was very concerned and Klapprodt responded very quickly with getting someone out to winterize the heater and filter. It was freezing out and high winds but the tech was able to replace the pump and controller under these horrible conditions. I ma very grateful for their service and having the parts in stock.

I recently contacted Klapprodt to inspect and recommend repair options associated with recent damage to my decking, coping and pool plaster. Klapprodt was very responsive and within a day sent over their service and renovations expert (Travis). Travis inspected the overall pool and damaged areas, and fully explained all of the options to repair the damage done to the pool, without overselling what needed to be done.
He also highlighted things that I was doing well (as I maintain my pool myself) and provided some DIY recommendations to improve my pool maintenance. I was impressed with Travis' knowledge, professionalism and interest in providing helpful insights without aggressive overselling tactics. I would certainly recommend Klapprodt based on my experience with Travis.

Klapprodt built our pool March - June 2020. It was a great experience, I found all of the staff to be friendly and down to earth. Blake was our sales guy and I have to say, we may not have a pool if not but for the incredible 3D video he did which transformed our backyard into something we never could have seen on our own. Cameron was our initial PM and was awesome.
Our neighbors were simultaneously building with Klapprodt so we ended up with Kevin who was equally as great. I appreciate that I could contact them directly and saw them most every day during build. After the crazy winter storms in February 2021, we were concerned our pool suffered damages like most every other pool owner without power in the state of Texas.
I waited a few weeks to let things calm down and contacted Dustin directly. Dustin was onsite regularly with Kevin during build and responsible for starting our pool once everything was finished. Within 15 minutes he responded that the owner, Jeremy would be out to assess our damage that day! True to word, Jeremy was here within a few hours. We were very lucky that only a few O rings needed replacement.
I appreciate both the experience and professionalism that Klapprodt offered, specifically during the storm aftermath. Once a project is complete, it is worrisome that you're left on your own. Jeremy made sure that we were given attention and our minds put at ease. We were concerned that we could have thousands of dollars worth of damage on a pool less than one year old. Instead we were fixed up within a few hours and got our backyard, back. -Sara Carr

Such an amazing experience with Klapprodt. We did our research and asked around there are so many builders in the area but finally went with Klapprodt when we found consistent and honest feedback from folks we knew that built pools with them. At the same time we built our pool we have several friends put theirs in too and they did not have the same pleasant experience as we did. We love our pool and love our customer service manager Travis!

We have been a continuous customer of Klapprodt Pools for the last 16 years, getting all service needs fulfilled by them and bought all pool supplies and toys from them when they had a retail business. The day after the big freeze in North Texas in February we saw pool equipment damage and contacted Klapprodts to schedule service, knowing that they would be booked and service would not be quick. An email was received that was sent to all customers stating that they would get to everyone as soon as they could, we were okay with that. Contacted Klapprodts a couple of weeks later to see how scheduling was going.
At that time we were informed that we had been de-prioritized for service because they did not build our pool and wedid not use them for weekly pool service maintenance. We were told that we would be better off going to a "national company, " presumably because we were at the bottom of the list and they had no idea how to figure out when or even if they would get to us.
This information would have been good to receive initially so that we would not have wasted two weeks thinking we were on a schedule in the order that we requested service. Apparently all of their advertising about being a full service company serving not only the customers whose pools they built but the general public as well is a bald faced lie.
You would think that after 16 years of using this company exclusively for all of our pool needs would account for something. We were told that they only had one pool technician and that they were having to work from home and could not check on their business as well working remote. Guess what, the rest of the world has been working remote for the past year and doing better than before with that arrangement for the most part. Additionally, it would seem that some good temporary help could and should be added to the payroll given the extent of storm damage to pools in the area in order to serve the customers that they purport to value so dearly. Be wary relying on this Company in times of real need.

Travis, Clint, and Cameron just saved my husband's life (partially) by coming over and solving some issues (self-inflicted to be clear), but they saved the day nonetheless. Noise issue, dirty, and our Aquanaut not working. Thank you for coming over, cleaning the filters, testing to make sure there were no other possible issues, and shocking the heck out of my pool so that we can be back in business and can enjoy our beautiful pool that was built with Klapprodt a little over a year ago.
I cannot say enough about this company. I am a Real Estate Broker and I know a lot of pool builders. But it is one thing to build one and another to build one and still be reliable after the project is done. These guys, and this company, have been there without hesitation or question. Perception is reality when it comes to customer service! And the reality is that I will never have to worry when I need something when it comes to my pool! Thank you! And I will forever recommend Klapprodt!

This locally, Family owned and operated business is one of a kind. The team treats you like family. Through estimate, to virtual video presentations of your dream pool, to construction, final product and pool school, they have been true professionals. They were attentive and detailed with all aspects. We now have a true oasis to call our own. Pool was completed in Nov 2020, and we recently endured snowpocalypse here in DFW in Feb 2021.
They were responsive, helped us through the worries of the extreme cold and power outages, and came out the day it thawed to start up and ensure all was working well. THAT is going the extra mile and our family could not be more thankful. 6 stars would be more appropriate.

Kladdprodt pool did an awesome job on our design and installation. A huge shout out to Cameron, Travis and Clint for all the knowledge they shared along the way plus answering all of my questions. They always responded with any questions or concerns we threw at them. We will enjoy the pool for many years to come. Services: General construction, Design

We chose Klapprodt to build our pool after getting bids from several other companies. We worked with Aaron for the design, and he was very patient and accommodating with our requests and designed exactly what we were looking for within our budget. Cameron was the superintendent for the construction, and kept us informed and was always responsive and polite. Clint did start up and pool school, and just like the others was very professional and nice.
We knew patience was key while building a pool in the middle of a pandemic, but the build process was smooth and we felt confident that we were getting quality work. The subcontractors Klapprodt uses are top notch and worth the wait. What really impressed me the most was the owners coming to check our pool after the snowpocalypse. They are obviously inundated with service calls and many broken pools, and the owners are out checking and helping where they can to get their customers serviced quicker. We are happy we chose Klapprodt!

We understand that pool companies are slammed during COVID-19 because everyone wants a pool built now. We're in the process of building a house, and we plan way ahead on everything. So we started researching and contacting pool companies for bids. After going over the reviews here, I want to echo what Gennadiy T said. We were told that a designer would be in touch with us. Waited for several weeks.
We called to ask for a follow up. Not long after that, we received the same form email that Gennadiy did. Basically telling us, "the designer we assigned to you no longer works for us, but if you want us to build your pool, you'll have to go to the back of the line and wait another month or so." Say what? We found this very unprofessional. We decided that if that's how they are treating us now, imagine how they would treat us if we had gone with them. Yeah, no thanks. We replied back that we'd moved on and were no longer interested in working with them.

Called the company to request a quote. They told me that they're running behind, which was fine. The designer contacted me and scheduled a consult appointment about four weeks after the initial call. The day before the consult he called to reschedule for the following day, which also wasn't too much of an issue. The day of the consult the guy showed up, and did his survey. Told us that he'll get back to us in a couple of weeks.
Five weeks later we get a form letter from the company informing us that he's no longer employed by them, but if we want, we can get back in line to get another consult. While I completely understand that the designer didn't work out for them and was fired, a form letter without any way to get back on timing just seems to be in poor taste.
This seems to be a harbinger of what's to come, and instead we'll happily take our business and our money to a different company that actually wants it, and would treat its customers with more respect than a form letter.

Bought a pool 2 years ago. Had issues with grout after a year. They fixed it now grout is cracking on the rolled neck and the warranty is out. The warranty guy kept comparing it to buying a car. If I bought a car and the axel feel out I'm sure the dealership would take care of it. Grout is what keeps the water in yet they don't warranty it after a year. I know several people who have salt water pools for the past 20 years that don't have this issues.

I originally had them out to evaluate my pool for service and they declined to service my pool due to my chemicals being outta whack. I was very irritated as I was having my pool serviced every week and that didn't seem right. After having a second opinion I heard the same thing and got more details and found the current company I was using was the problem. Beth helped answer detailed questions about their finding to help me to the root cause. While I won't use them they were helpful with finding what was going on with the previous company who caused issues I'm now dealing with.

I've been with Klapprodt for 15 years and been happy with them until now. Although I've spent roughly $50,000 with them over the years (monthly maintenance fees, pump replacements, pool re-plastering, filter cleans etc.), today changed my mind about our relationship. I was charged $155 labor to put in new housing for my pool light (which cost $348).
That's fine and fair(even though the job only took 15 minutes), but they also charged a $50 "trip fee, " which they refused to waive because "that's always been our policy." Other services I use, like my plumber or heating/air conditioner, always waive the trip charge if they wind up doing significant work for me - and I expected Klapprodt to do the same.
I was wrong, but I found a new company which charges a lower monthly fee, includes filter and salt cell cleans in the monthly fee, and doesn't charge a trip fee for service calls. So Klapprodt did me a favor today!

I was awaiting a call back for an estimate request that I thought hadn't happened. Gave them a bad review based on that, then discovered my voicemail was glitching. They called to apologize for the dropped ball, though they were not at fault. They impressed me with the seriousness that they have for communication and service with their customers

BEWARE! This company has NO integrity what so ever! They have been allegedly servicing my neighbor's pool for quite some time, but in all reality they have been doing NOTHING! My neighbors are 100 and 88 years old and have been clearly taken advantage of. Their pool tech leaves a white service card with services checked that have supposedly been completed such as emptied skimmer baskets, added chemicals, ect.
When I went over to check on them immediately after the pool tech had left, the skimmer/baskets are FULL of leaves in the basket and underneath it as well, the pool has brown algae on the walls and floor, filters are beyond dirty and pool cleaner isn't even working. REALLY! This is criminal to say the least and they were fired immediately. If you value your money and your pool stay away from this Company!

Our Klapprodt pool in Southlake is about four years old. We had some drying / cracking tile on the top edge of our spa. Jeremy and his team (Kevin and Travis - thanks!) arranged to have the top edge re-contoured and tile replaced. The completed product is looking great. Really appreciate Klapprodt's willingness to continue to help its existing customers. We've also used Klapprodt's weekly pool service since the beginning and we appreciate their expertise.

We recently bought a home and inherited the old pool equipment. Completely new to the pool ownership and maintenance world, we popped into the store to gather some information. I dropped off my Pentair gadget and hose a few weeks ago and to no avail, the rep wasn't available to get the parts needed in a timely manner. These guys stepped up and replaced my wornout Pentair with a fresh looking refurbished one for my inconvenience. I couldn't be more impressed. That's what I call great customer service!

What a great crew. Corey, Laura, Larry and all of the crew are great, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I have tried a couple other places but my confidence lies with the Klapprodt Pool crew. Would love to name all the crew but remembering names is not my specialty, but they remember mine. It feels like family when you go there and they are there when you need them.
We have just signed with them to refinish our pool. Grandkids will be happy with Klapprodt this summer. :- If we move to a new house and need a pool or it has a pool, we will call Klapprodt in Keller.

After getting bids from 4 different pool companies we decided to go with Klapprodt for a few reasons: 1) reviews from other people 2) the professionalism/thoroughness of Aaron (design consultant) 3) local business. The pricing was all about the same when we compared close to exact specs. Everything has been wonderful! Aaron came to our house and went through various options, gave us great information, and quickly got back to us with a proposal.
He listened to our needs/wants and was able to tweak the design as needed. The showroom has plenty of items to view from tile, coping, decking, wet edge, etc. And they don't rush you! I may have spent a couple of hours at the store going through all of our options! When construction was about to start we met with Javier (construction manager) and Aaron.
They went over the process, payment schedule and all of the little details we needed to know. Javier and Aaron have been at our home every step of the way! I am amazed with their dedication to the project from start to finish. They have both been available via calls/texts and are quick to reply (even on nights/weekends). We have had ZERO unexpected bad surprises.
We have had several GREAT surprises, such as the quick time to build the pool (we are on day 24 of building and they are putting water in it right now. The city took 8 weeks to approve the permit. I never imagined a pool build to go quicker than a permit approval!), the amazing customer service (Aaron & Javier), and the quality of work by all of the crews! Thanks to the Klapprodt crew!

We contacted several pool builders before choosing Klapprodt. The reason we chose Klapprodt was #1 they made us feel like family. They continue to respond to all of our questions and never hesitate to offer help, when needed. They were not the cheapest, but have proven to stand by their promises and commitment to excellence. Best company for customer service hands down.
Several companies made us feel small because we weren't building a $200-$300k pool, but these guys treated us as if we were. I refer every person looking to build a pool to Klapprodt!

We tried our best to use this company and if I am you, I would not. First, they have a great reputtaion for pool installation and I have seen them very good. The issue is sales, they overprice you, talk the car selling jive and still are overpriced. You can get the same work from Clafey or Paul Miller for 20% less. When we went in that direction they became biligernet with us. Do not use these guys.

Thinking of buying a pool, well go by and talk to Klapprodt Pools in Keller, TX. We researched allot of pool companies and decided upon Klapprodt. We liked that they are a family owned small business and were confident they would deliver on promises and services. I can tell you they over delivered and we have a beautiful pool with decking. A friend of ours actually recommended Klapprodt Pools and from the time that the sales guy "Chad Poynter" came to our home to talk to us, we felt like this was the company for us.
They did not offer a fancy presentation with 3D modeling, it was as simple overview with the right price. They guided us through the entire process, including issues that occurred along the way. When you consider buying a pool, you need to anticipate that you will have problems that are beyond your control. We had issues with a few power lines (that were not suppose to be there) and plumbing, but they guided us through the red tape.
We did hit the jack pot with issues. Started with the call to dig tess, they came out and marked the yard with utilities and where we wanted to put the pool, no utilities. Yea! We signed the contract then started to dig, guess what we hit 2 power lines and the sewer line. The sewer line was not their problem, but they totally missed these power lines.
All in all it cost us an additionally $2000 and a 6 week delay. Klapprodt has 1st class construction managers, "Collie Nutt" was awesome and helped us through all of the delays and issues. Klapprodt has stood behind a few issues that have popped up and we visit their retail store every 2 weeks to have the pool water tested. You can trust Klapprodt Pools!
