We chose Applegate based on a good experience at the Lansing Home and Garden Show. Our installer, James, and his assistant were outstanding. James even moved a pile of woodchips (in the rain) to get a better location for the air conditioner. His instructions on the heating and AC systems and thermostat were so helpful. A great all around experience!

Applegate came out an did a full home install of a ductless system last year, and then came out under our maintenance contract this year. Every part of the process from Initial estimate though maintenance has been timely, professional, and courteous. I love my new system, and Applegate even reminded me to schedule my pre-paid maintenance. A++ will use again.

Shane is super professional in executing the maintenance plus patient with a dog & toddler that thought he needed their assistance. I called Applegate today to speak to the owner to share some news with him about a client of mine who referred his name. Not only was the lady who answered the phone very personable, but I actually got through to the owner (rare). The owner, Tom, took my call and spoke with me for a bit. I explained to him the word-of-mouth referral that I had gotten from one of his past clients who said their name when I asked "who in the trades is someone you'd fully stand behind?".

The owner seemed like a very genuine, down-to-earth man. Even though I have not used his service, I am sure I wouldn't be disappointed, especially if his work reflected the kindness he and his secretary gave to me yesterday!

We recently had a new furnace, AC and thermostat installed by Applegate. From our initial contact with Shawn, to the installation by Andy and his team, and the follow-up by the office team, we were very pleased with their excellent service and attention to detail. So far we are very happy with our Daikin system, and look forward to seeing how much energy dollars we are saving this summer and will save this winter.

Just wanted to have my AC and Furnace systems checked out to ensure they were functioning properly. The scheduling process was easy and I got a couple of notifications leading up to the scheduled appointment as a reminder. The service tech gave me a call to let me know that he was heading over and was right on time. Service was quick, but also very thorough. Will definitely be using Applegate in the future.

Have used this business for over 20 yrs. They installed a new furnace and air conditioning and did excellent work. Have had some minor repair work done as well. Their current location is a store front only. There were no skilled repair or installation ppl to talk to. Service is by appointment at your hm. They no longer sell parts over the counter.

Last AC repair was disappointing. Repair person arrived and went to AC unit outside. He diagnosed the problem and repaired it timely. But then he wanted to chk the furnace. I watched as he aggressively scraped the heat exchanger with a flat screw driver. It looked like he was trying to break a hole in the exchanger. Asked him to stop. He said was checking for corrosion. Appeared to me he was hoping to sell me a new furnace I did not need.

He commented he had over 15 yrs experience. I won't use them again. Did not complain at the time. There is only a receptionist in their office. Very disappointing experience.
