Kopp's Carpet & Tile

I was told it would take 3 days for installation. After a day and a half, the crew told me the new carpet was too wet to install and someone would call me. They left it laying in the drive the previous day as it poured. The house was left in a complete mess - staples on the new carpet, carpet pad pieces all over the floor. My hardwood floor was scratched.

I contacted the Bill who came out. It took 3 weeks for the replacement carpet to arrive. Once it arrived, he send out 1 man who installed the carpet. They have tried two different methods to try to cheaply fix my hardwood floor but it is still scratched. I asked for a discount due to the length of this project (45 days) and the damaged hardwood floor and was told no.

I finally just paid because I was tried of dealing with them. We chose Kopps because we wanted good customer service and not to have the installation subbed out. I would not recommend them.

We had an award winning experience at Kopps. We purchased a totally stripped space on the 5th floor of a hundred yr old building. We went to Kopps for flooring and were so pleased with Mike Cox and his decorating expertise that he advised us on every aspect of our new home. When the really huge job was completed, we won the remodeled kitchen of the year and had been featured in magazines and the Star Magazine. Mike is so talented and knowledgeable.

We built our new home and the builder used Kopp's Carpet & Decorating for flooring and backsplash. Mike Cox designed our home completely and helped us throughout our selection process. Though it was not Mike's responsibility, he helped us to pick our interior/exterior wall colors, trim, cabinets, plumbing, lights, interior furniture along tile and carpet.

He even came out to two different granite places and helped us to pick our granite. Builder and I had a misunderstanding about our granite selection and pricing. Mike had to redo all his work as our initial tile and backsplash selections did not go with second time granite. He redid some of our selections made it look seamless. Kopps decorating has solutions for all price ranges and it was great fun working with them.

The office staff even entertained our 4-year-old daughter when we were busy with selections. Their prices are very reasonable and compared to other local carpet and decorating places. I would recommend them to anyone. Mike is like a friend and family now!

No & No again. If you're looking for new flooring, this isn't the place. We hired Kopp's to install carpet in our living room. Initally, we wanted carpet replaced in multiple rooms, so they did all the measurements and quotes at the same time. During the initial sales phase, all seemed well, but on the day of install, they sent 2 guys who literally looked and acted like they came off the street.

They were cursing and arguing with one another in our driveway and house! My husband called our sales rep, Mike and told him they had to go and to never send them back. They left and the next day or so he sent another crew. They were more professional, but less than a year later, the carpet started coming up around the fireplace so he had to send someone out to fix it.

A couple of months ago, we decided we wanted to move forward with carpeting the other areas in our home, so we started looking around for a new company based on our previous negative experience with Kopp's. We received multiple quotes, but most of the companies didn't have the same color match as the carpet Kopp's installed in our living room. Unfortunately, we had to contact Kopp's again, but it took almost 2 months for a response.

I left messages for our sales Rep, Mike, as well as messages with the receptionist, but never received a call back. I left a review and to my surprise, received a call from Mike the very next day! He claimed the receptionist had written down the phone # incorrectly, despite the fact that he had our email address, the voicemails I left specifically for him as well as our information in their database. Anywho, he came out to measure again, despite the fact that I sent him their previous estimates with the measurements already on it.

When he was here, he told my husband "I know I can do it for the sams price as originally quoted, but I'll check to see if I can discount it." The next day, he sent me an email telling me he wouldn't be able to confirm the final price until Monday. He then asked me to "take down the review because it really hurts their business." I responded and advised although I removed the review it was very disheartening to not have calls returned for almost 2 months as a repeat customer; but he chose not to respond back to my follow-up email.

On Monday, he emailed the estimate and didn't mention that he had increased the price by MORE THAN $1,000! After telling us he could do it for the same price. I responded and asked about the price increase and he claimed we hadn't originally discussed the basement stairs which is false. He knew we wanted to carpet our basement steps and knew again when he came out the 2nd time to measure AND STILL TOLD US IT WOULD BE THE SAME PRICE AS ORIGINALLY QUOTED.

He made no apologies for the bait and switch and chose again not to respond to my email regarding my concerns. If you're looking for an honest flooring company who returns calls, has excellent follow-up, integrity and good customer service, Kopp's isn't it. Mike likes to say he's been in the business for 35 years, but sorry sir, it's nothing to brag about when you have terrible service.

I highly recommend A& M Flooring. They are stellar. We reached out to them while waiting to hear back from Kopps. Although their price was slightly higher, they price match apples to apples AND they use the same vendors as Kopps so they were able to color match!

We needed our entire home done with vinyl plank flooring in a very short time. Kopp's put a rush on it, and they got it done. The installers were FANTASTIC. There were rounded fronts on our fireplace, and they molded the quarter round to fit them perfectly. They were quick, skilled and friendly. Kopp's is where I'll go from here on out.

We have been loyal customers of Kopps since 1991 when our house was first built. Each time we've updated (carpet, hardwood floors, bathroom remodels, blinds), Kopps made the entire experience from help selecting to installation seamless. Teresa and Mike are easy and fun to work with and extremely knowledgeable. All the experiences we've had with Kopps over the years went smoothly, no problems whatsoever. Highly recommend.

We recently had our hardwood floor refinished through Kopp's carpet. The company they contracted with to do it was European Floors. The various work crews did an excellent job in all phases of the process. They were skilled and easy to work with. They were prompt and communicative concerning what was involved with each phase. The owner, Dan, responded quickly to text messages.

They returned quickly once the job was done to take care of a couple of minor issues that we noticed. I have one suggestion that would have been helpful. Since we had no experience with having floors refinished, to have a clear overview at the beginning of what would be involved day to day would have been most appreciated.

I have purchased many items over many years from Kopps. Carpeting, blinds, custom made cornice boards, tile and recently vinyl plank flooring. Julie Ray and the rest of the staff have always been great to work with and help select just the right product. Would highly recommend them.

Our experience with Kopp's Carpet company was fantastic, from start to finish. Great people to work with and quality nylon carpet was installed professionally and timely. Maddy was kind an extremely helpful in guiding us to the right carpet for our home.

I worked with Julie Ray in picking out new flooring for my living room. Not only was she very helpful in offering product knowledge that aided me in making the perfect flooring selection for my family, but she had great suggestions on color options from the design prospective! Between having 3 dogs and two kids I needed something durable, cleanable, and of course good looking and Julie knew just what to suggest!

We could not have been more pleased with the new flooring from Kopp's for our kitchen! The sales person was most helpful in helping us select the type and color of flooring that would best meet our needs. The installers were extremely professional, worked very efficiently as a team, and were very nice people. This floor is amazing-beautiful, easy to clean, and very durable. It's called COREtec and I highly it AND Kopp's!

We went to Kopp's to replace our carpet and tile. Not only was the showroom staff friendly and welcoming, they also provided excellent, quality options and were so helpful in guiding me to purchase the right options for our home. The installation was quick and clean. We could not be more pleased with our purchase or our Kopp's experience!
