Quoted and hired to put back on 5 pieces of siding, replace rotten window sill and replace roof on a small over hang. They were scheduling a couple of months out which was fine. About four months went by no call to schedule the work even though paying a deposit. Called and my small job was than scheduled for the following week. When they replaced the window sill the storm window broke.

No big deal it happens the crew said they called the office and informed them and they would be back but wasn't sure when. No response for months so call the office and talk with Paul he was suppose to call me back the following week after speaking with the glass shop. No follow up phone call. So let it go a week or two call back and left a voice again for Paul no response.

Finally on MY third time he informed that the glass shop was finally done with the glass. This was at least two months after the work was done. The crew came out and installed the storm window and left. I later noticed the storm window doesn't even line up with the window sill and is still broken. I can literally fit my fingers between the storm window and the sill.

Not to mention that the frame is coming apart at the bottom. Not even going to have them out to address as they don't follow up or through on work. Unless you want to follow up to get things scheduled or play the part of contractor avoid them and look else where. The job was small but had they done well it would of landed them a full house (27) windows replacement as well two exterior doors. I have since contracted with another company who has already replaced 11 of my 27 windows and the work was on point and I never had to call to schedule or follow.

We had Smucker & Sons redo a deck for us. The were extremely professional and did an excellent job. I know I will contact them again when I need to use more of their service.

I have used Smucker and sons for new siding, gutters and windows. They use quality materials and their workmanship is first class. Employees are very friendly and know what they are doing. I only wish they weren't booked so far ahead, but when you're good at what you do you will be in high demand. Services: Window installation, General door installation

I Have used Smucker for 2 Roofs, a complete Home window replacement, complete door replacement and they have rewarded me by being Johnny on the spot when I had water leakage from ice build-up last winter and I was out of town. They came and did a temporary repair, and once the weather was fit made the permanent repair saved me many dollars by not having to replace drywall and the expense of water damage.

We are currently getting ready to start the second half of replacing the windows at my home. However I have a Story I think will show why Smucker is above the rest, My daughter had built a home, when the home was 2 years old settling occurred and the builder would not respond. Smucker came in and repaired the sliding door but they also advised me that something was radically wrong with the structure of the home.

Various repairs were made in the next 5 years for roof leaks, windows that would no longer shut, to a sliding door that completely bent to the point the entire unit had to be replaced. The builder never responded. Smucker kept saying after each repair the home had a severe problem, finally I took their advice, I hired a structural engineer to review the home and the determination was the house had actually broken in half from the middle of the garage footer across the basement to the opposite wall from the garage.

The claim against the builder was settled in arbitration for over 100K. If Smucker had not kept records of their repairs and kept telling me to pursue the builder, My daughter would have suffered out of pocket expenses that may have cost her the house. I would always recommend Smucker based on my experience for quality work, done by quality people they have never disappointed.

We have used Smucker and Sons several times over the years for window installation, door installation and gutter installation and will be hiring them for an upcoming siding installation. As repeat customers, we will get other estimates but end up using Smucker and Sons because we trust them to do the job correctly and also to fix any unexpected issues(which have been very minor and rare). We also love the crew that comes out and request them for every job if possible.

We were getting water in our basement from water overflowing a gutter guard. Since this was considered an emergency repair, Smuckers was able to send two workers to inspect my entire spouting system and add diverters to my guards. They were friendly and very professional. I no longer need to mop water in my basement with every rain. So grateful they were able to so my job during this time. Price very reasonable, highly recommend them.

Engaged Smuckers to replace & cap windows & install siding last year. Excellent service, materials, craftsmanship, cleanup, communication. THEN. Had them back this year for roofing, soffit & spouting work. Gave them the down money in July. Was told people would be calling me. I had to call in late September to find out if/when anyone was gonna show up. Got a 2 day notice before 1st crews arrival in October. -Roofing crew rearranged my porch furniture for their breaks, left cigarette butts on my wooden porch and all around my property, did an extremely poor job of clean up.

My son got a roofing nail in his car tire leaving him stuck on way to college. Found many other nails around property. Job took several days and they left equipment on my property over a weekend without asking what would be my preference of where it could be stored so it was out of my way. -Soffit crew also poor job of cleanup. Found multiple nails, sharp wire objects around property after they left. -Spouting crew received my complaints and told me they passed my concerns along. Cleaned up vey well.

I have no problem with this company's material quality & caftsmanship but they are a nightmare to deal with as far as communication & completion of a job. Do not see myself using them ever again. 2 stars because the quality of the end results helped balance the scales of the poor work ethics.

We had needed to replace our windows in our house. We got several quotes and chose Smuckers. They were in the middle of the road on price but seemed more knowledgeable than the others. The process was painless. The windows turned out great. They have very good craftsmanship! One window was a real challenge and we had a concern about the looks from the inside.

Without making a big deal about it or charging us more the employee went above and beyond the quoted job to make the window look fantastic. I will never hire anyone else for windows or doors. They quality materials are sure to last a lifetime. I would not buy cheap drop in replacement windows like others are doing.
