My go to place for rentals. If you know what you want and call in advance ( reserve what you want). It always goes really smooth there. Some might prefer home depot if you need a little hand holding to figure out what you need. I use both but prefer chets as they are more professional and have more stuff for big jobs etc.

They have what you need a little high on prices and the trailers should come with the equipment not separate, I have no clue if that's all trailers but for a trencher it should be included, but my rental was smooth either way. Thank you chets and hey I'm almost at 100,000 followers thank you people I will always keep it honest.

I needed to rent a trailer that could hold two pallets of tile weighing about 3,500 lbs. Luckily, Chet's had a trailer that could accommodate that. They don't typically rent that trailer without equipment but they made an exception for my situation. I am super appreciative and recommend Chets Rental!

Amazing customer service! Rented a woodchipper and had an issue with it and they sent someone out to switch me with a new one that worked perfectly and they even gave me more than enough extra time for the inconvenience, would highly recommend! Will definitely be using chets in Rochester hills again

Extremely Dissatisfied. First the employee taking my reservation did not notify me what size truck I would need to rent a bobcat/trailer. I showed up with my half ton pickup only to be told I needed at least a 3/4 ton, which was a waste of my time and gas. I then picked up the bobcat/trailer with a larger truck. The trailer was hooked up by a Chet's employee.
I asked the gentleman hooking up the trailer if I had the correct size ball on my hitch, which he confirmed I did. After driving on two highways I thought I felt some movement in the trailer. I pulled over to look at the trailer and found that the trailer lock and pin had come loose! This was because the truck had a 2" ball and this trailer required a 2-5/16" ball.
I could not believe Chet's hooked this up and let me drive away like this. How Dangerous! I contacted them to let them know and ended up having to wait an hour and half for someone to show up and try to "fix" the trailer, which didn't happen because it was too damaged. Not only did they put me in a dangerous situation and wasted a good part of my day, but they wanted me to still return the trailer and waste more of my time on a holiday weekend.
Due to the excessive damage on the trailer I did not have to return it, since they were unable to hook it back up to my truck. After all this Chet's did not offer me any kind of discounted rate, which I find completely unacceptable. Furthermore, the gentlemen on the phone joked that I "was the guy who broke his equipment"! I couldn't believe someone would joke about a 10,000lb trailer coming loose when the fault was entirely their own. I could have seriously injured someone and done serious damage to the truck I was using and they make jokes about it. I would NOT recommend renting from Chets!

Wow this place. I'm a contractor have come here a couple times to rent various equipment. Everyone behind the counter is rude and they try to squeeze every dime out of you. Rented a concrete cutting saw. Not only was there rental the highest but they made me pay for the blade, then they don't even allow you to keep the blade. I inquired about keeping the blade since it was paid for (I've never had to pay separately for a blade) and the guy behind the counter says no that blade cost 200 dollars, so not only do they overcharge me, they lied directly to my face as if google doesn't allow us to check the actual price of the blade or my 7 years of concrete experience. Needless to say I will no longer be doing business with this company and will be sure to pass the word along to fellow contractors.

When I lived in Berkley, I bought a used reciprocating saw from Chet's Rent-All. Then rented a floor sander, then a lawn roller and bought blades for my reciprocating saw. Moved to Beverly Hills and they continued to provide great suggestions. rented a jack hammer and a grass seed spreader. onto Southfield and they fixed my mower. It's been 10 years and my saw still works great (just pruned a tree!) and the group at Chet's in Berkley is still very helpful! Always a good experience, always a reasonable price.
