Services
Air ducts play a vital role in circulating conditioned air throughout your home. To help improve your Nevada home's airflow and indoor air quality (IAQ), you want your air duct system, or ductwork, at its best. Whether you need ductwork installation, replacement, repair, or maintenance, our team at Nevada Heating is here to help.
Air handlers team up with heat pumps and air conditioners to create a ductless system, also called a mini-splilt, inside your Sparks home. You can add a single air handler to accommodate a room without ductwork-such as a workout room or rec room in the basement, garage, or attic. Or you can install multiple air handlers around your home to create a zone control system.
Let's save money, reduce our carbon footprint while enjoying improved comfort and convenience. A ductless mini split pairs an indoor air handler with an outdoor heat pump or air conditioner. The air handler transfers the warm and cold air from one of the two outdoor units and circulates it directly into your Sparks home.
It's a time-honored tradition to gather around an outdoor fire pit to stay warm and spend time with friends and family. Today, a gas fireplace can deliver that same glow and warmth to your living room. Gas fireplaces are not only more convenient than wood stoves-but they're also better for the environment.

Jason Hahn was our technician and he was awesome! On time. Professional. Explained what he was going to do and walked me through the findings of the visit at the end. I strongly recommend him as a technician and Nevada Heating in general. We've used them for the past 3 years and have never had a bad experience! Services: Cleaning, A/C filter replacement, A/C system maintenance, A/C system vent cleaning

When our AC took a dive, we called around, looked at reviews, and took a chance on Nevada Heating. They were able to get us on the schedule fairly quickly, which was incredible given the time of year. Brandon showed up and did not waste a moment getting to the repair and service. He was thorough, and explained everything he was doing all through the process.
He had some maintenance recommendations, and those were fair and accurate. He was able to repair our unit and have us back in business the same day. I feel like others may have tried to sell us on services we didn't need, or a complete replacement. I think Brandon and NV Heating were fair, honest and responsive to our needs. Would recommend and use again.

I had Randy Moore came out on a Saturday to help address the fact my furnace wasn't working. He was so personable, Knowledgeable and beyond helpful. He was efficient and explained things perfectly in a way I could understand. He earned my business for anything else I may need including looking into adding ac to our house. Very happy with my service and would recommend Randy to anyone in town!

We spoke with Brandon Price for information on obtaining air conditioning and worked with him. After evaluating our needs, we easily set up an appointment. Ed and his guys, Nick, Jack and Justin were awesome, and we had air conditioning and new heater in a day! We are so thankful to them for their knowledge, professionalism, hard work and friendliness. We were well informed and set at ease. Even the girls in the office were wonderful. Highly recommend this team!

Jack and Justin were awesome hardworking guys! They called to give us a heads up that they were on their way. There were here on time, very accommodating, taught us all about the new heater and the control panel. They installed new smoke and gas detectors for us, too. Cleaned up their tools, etc. We hardly knew they were here. Thanks to all their expert knowledge we now have a new more efficient heating system. Thanks Jack and Justin! We appreciate all your hard work!

Drake and Lucas did a great job connecting our new faucet, disposal and reconnecting our dishwasher. Professional, friendly, courteous, with great attention to detail, which is Great to see these days. they fully tested all the components and double checked for leaks before going. It is very encouraging to see young trades professionals like Drake and Lucas come to your house and do such a fantastic job. I called Nevada Heating to perform maintenance on my fireplace and furnace and to check out a couple issues I was having with both. Fortunately for me Jacob Hahn was sent as my tech. He was professional, pleasant, and very knowledgeable. He patiently answered all my questions, thoroughly tested my fireplace and furnace, explained all the reading from his equipment, replaced a failing part in my furnace, and made pressure free recommendations to improve the efficiency of both units.
He did an outstanding job cleaning the fireplace and furnace and left everything immaculate. I am very happy with his service and plan to have him come back to perform maintenance on my AC unit when it gets warmer.

Roger and Blake conducted the installation of our water heater. They did a fantastic job. They were friendly, professional, courteous, and punctual. They kept the area clean (probably cleaner than I had left it for them). I would definitely recommend them to anyone and am going to have a water softener installed by them in the near future.

I contacted Nevada Heating last week to help me with an issue I had with my furnace. They sent a person to help me understand my need. After reviewing the old furnace, he gave me different options as far as the replacement and cost. Today Jack Powell and Justin arrived to work on the project. They were super-efficient staying on task. They completed the work in the estimated time. Jack covered the details of the new unit and he also showed me the overall installation. So far so good. Great job guys, keep up the good work.

Gas fireplace wasn't working. Had Nevada Heating come out and diagnose to the tune of $125, which I was fine with. Ultimately, all that was wrong was that the Pilot light was out and technician Brandon showed me how to reset it. Then tried to add $50 to the service visit charge, telling me that what he did constituted a "repair." Nothing was actually broken/in disrepair, so I did not agree to the additional $50 charge.
Through Brandon, I was informed that management would only agree to removing the $50 charge if he turned off the pilot light and left the system as it was when he arrived, which I was fine with. After payment, I thanked him as he headed for the front door, to which he ignored me and said nothing. Did not care for this rudeness and attempt to charge a for repair when no actual repair was made. Based on my experience, would not recommend Nevada Heating.

Roger and Blake installed our new Low Boy Water Heater this week. They did such a great job, really took their time and did everything carefully. Very polite and professional too! The price of the water heater and labor was very reasonable, so we would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new water heater. Service: Boiler installation

I'm so disappointed in the changes with this company since I began doing business with them. I've been a contract customer for the last 3 or 4 years, holding maintenance contracts for my HVAC and fireplace (which they installed). This week NV Energy found a gas leak in the gas valve that supplies gas to my fireplace. I contacted Nevada Heating to ask them to come out just to give me an estimate to either repair the valve (which is NOT part of the fireplace) or to reroute the gas line around the valve.
They wanted to charge me to come out for an estimate. I already had a diagnosed problem and knew that I would have to pay for the repair. Nobody seemed to be able to explain why they couldn't take care of a loyal customer by simply giving me an estimate. I planned to pay them to do the work. The people on the phone seemed confused and I didn't get a manager callback as expected.
They finally called me back today and I told them I took care of the problem with another company. This used to be a customer focused company and I don't know what happened. Not only will I not renew any of my contracts, I will hire someone else to install my new HVAC system in the next 6 months.

Until this year (2022) Nevada heating and Air has been very responsive. I have maintenance contracts for service on my heating, fireplace, air conditioner, and hot water heater. They are possibly having an employee shortage or they are just more popular because it is taking longer to get on their schedule.

We were concerned our gas fireplace was broken when we turned it on and the room filled with a burning smell and haze. We called Nevada Heating to come diagnose the issue and the technician, Drake Schultz, was very professional and thorough, checking carbon monoxide readings, the flu, even ducts in the attic to see if there were any leaks. It came down to a dusty fireplace issue, but he made sure to eliminate anything else before he came to his decision.
We appreciated his professionalism and thoroughness. Even though it turned out our fireplace is in good working order, we are thankful that Nevada Heating came and gave us some peace of mind.

Not only were they very rude, but I had multiple service contracts for over 6 years that they would not honor or "could not find" and they did not do anything they said they would. Some of the techs during a few calls in the past were very nice, but overall this company is very beginner and they do not keep their word. We bought an AC unit and had service contracts for multiple appliances and I am very disappointed. Will not be using them ever again. Put your money elsewhere with experts and people who sincerely care. My two cents.

Drake from Nevada Heating did an excellent job with our gas fireplace. It was working intermittently and was very slow to ignite once the switch was flipped. He was able to figure out the issue and fix it quickly. His inspection felt thorough and he did a great job explaining everything to me. Now our old gas fireplace is looking and working much better. We definitely plan on using them again in the future!

Service professional Drake Schultz called to ask if he could come early for appointment. He found the part needed and offered a 3 year service agreement which would only cost $17 more than the original repair estimate. This plan gives me 3 years annual tune up, a discount on parts and free upgrade on emergency repair calls. Drake was very professional and will be my first call for all my HVAC and hot water needs. I like the way this company trains it's team members and highly recommend them for service.

Okay, long story. Back in late February I contacted Nevada Heating regarding a fireplace install. Boy do I wish I went elsewhere here's why. First they advertised they install and maintain fireplaces. Not completely! They only install the fireplace box. You then "learn" that to tile / complete the installation is through some "guy" they refer you to.
The guy needed to be paid in cash or cashiers check. That was a complete hassle and really put the job on me to get fully completed. Today like an idiot I decided to call them to get my furnace serviced only to have Ashley call me who literally was on a verbal role on why they couldn't service until mid January as other customers are without heat and they are a priority.
That many are right now without heat that servicing customers that need to ensure they don't lose heat need to wait until mid-January for service. Ashley was rude / condescending while under the guise of "just trying to help". I've decided that I'd rather pay any other company to service my furnace, HVAC AND fireplace (annual maintenance for my fireplace is on them and I will get that as they promised contractually). But Ashley should not be calling customer unless she gets an attitude adjustment and learns how to engage with customers!

I had Nevada heating come out to look at my furnace. When the technician came over i wasn't home, but my wife was with our 2 yr old boys. Over the phone the technician seemed like he knew what he was doing so I was happy with the service provided. Unfortunately when I got home I noticed damage on the wall heading up my stair case, orange smudge was left behind.
I then went down the hall way to my laundry room where the technician had been working in. I found more damage to my wall, you can tell something was rammed to the corner wall opposite of the laundry room. The technician had to bring in a ladder to access the addict to work on the furnace. The orange smudge on the wall and the size of the dent in the corner wall. it was pretty obvious the damages were caused by a ladder.
I understand accidents happen so I decided to call Nevada heating and cooling and report the damages so it can be repaired. I was directed to this guy named Nick which i think is in charge of service. This dude was the most unprofessional asshole ever. Instead of calling me he left a voicemail and than avoided my calls. I had to keep calling till i finally got a hold of him.
When i finally got to speak to him he called me a liar, and that they weren't going to do anything about the damages. The funny thing is when I finally got talk to him, if the situation would have been handled professionally I was going to purchase a new furnace from them and have them installed it. Thanks to Nick though, I will never do business with this company ever again and I will let everyone I know not to do business with them either.

Nevada Heating did a great job installing a new water heater for me in South Lake Tahoe in the attic of our 3 story townhouse. It is not easy to access and most other companies would not even offer a quote. Their team was very professional, kept everything very clean and did a great job on this difficult install. The SLT building inspector even complemented their work. We could not be happy with our choice to have Nevada Heating install our new water heater. I highly recommend you give them a call before you start your next project.

To charge someone $100 for the pleasure of sitting through a hard-sell rip-off is outrageous. The pitch was. well I would'nt do you the disservice of quoting you a price for a repair cause a 15 year old system, that needs a Freon recharge at $400 per pound, cause there's a shortage of Freon, that's only made in China, would cost more than $8,000 to repair, and I would be better served by spending $20-$25,000 just replacing the system, which I am happy to quote.
Only to make a few calls to find out that there is no shortage and the going rate here in Reno is $53-$85 per pound. Throw those mailer coupons away cause you absolutely cannot trust this company. What a joke! Follow up. called B&B to come quote the repair or replacement. Aaron was super honest and thorough. Basically there was a loose wire that he quickly fixed and charged me $108.done deal. Don't use Nevada Heating. They are either inept or a bunch of crooks. If I trusted them, it would have cost me $25,000. B&B was prompt and honest.

Around a month ago I had this company come out and "diagnose" my fireplace that was not working properly. The cost for this was $99. The representative for the company was prompt and completed what appeared to be a diagnosis. Upon completion, the representative reported that the gas valve needed to be replaced and recommended paying for a service contract with the company.
The estimated cost for the valve alone was stated to be between $500-$700. This price did not include labor and the in $99 service charge would not be put towards the total cost for repair. Considering the expense of the quote, I asked the representative for verification information on the damaged part to ensure I was receiving a fair price. The response I received from the representative could only be summed up as extremely evasive and seemed dishonest.
Upon doing my own research, and seeking a second opinion from another company, I was pleased, and disappointed, to discover that my initial suspicions in Nevada Heating being dishonest were correct. The diagnosis Nevada Heating provided was incorrect and the part they claimed needed to be replaced was in fact half the price they quoted. I can reason with operating costs for businesses and additional mark up on parts associated in doing business.
Unfortunately it appears as though Nevada Heating was attempting to take advantage of me and I am glad I researched what little info I was provided for the $99 "diagnosis". I would definitely not recommend using this company.

This company installed by fireplace. I called for them to do an annual service maintenance and had to wait at least a month to get an appointment. The service man came and determined that I needed to replace my fan which was covered under warranty. It's been over a month since the service visit but I haven't heard from anyone. I have now called four times and no-one has returned my calls and all I want is a status on the order. The answering service has Indicated that they have left messages labeled urgent but still no return call. Communication skill are lacking.

On 2/1/21, The thermocoupler on our gas furnace went out and I called this company to have it replaced. The service man, Taylor came and replaced the part. I have no problem with him. What I do have a problem with is the pricing of this part. The service call was $99, which was ok. It only took Taylor about 15 minutes to change the part. The price they charged for the thermocoupler, is another story.
This part costs between $10 and $20 retail and they are easy to find, yet we were charged $298 for it. We werent informed of the part price before it was installed or we would had refused it. We found out when we read the emailed invoice! This is a very inexpensive part that we were price gouged On! There is no excuse for taking advantage of customers in this way!
Nothing can justify this price. We have been ripped off and robbed by this company! DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED DOLLARS USING NEVADA HEATING AND AIR! There are lots of other honest and reasonable companies out there! We will put this review everywhere we can to save others from this kind of a screwover By this company!

My water heater started leaking and found out that I needed a new water heater the first company that came quoted me $1400 for a new water heater and installation I decided to save some money and purchase the water heater myself through Home Depot and I used their referral system and was referred to the independent contractor Nevada heating and plumbing This company wanted to change $1,487.64 to put in a new water heater that I had already purchased, that price was just to put in the water heater.
That is ridiculous I found a third company that came the same day and put in my water heater for $450. Do not use Nevada heating and plumbing they overcharge you their customer service is subpar and their estimate process is a hassle they lose emails they cancel appointments and don't tell you they don't show up for appointments and don't call you and they triple charge him I've already made a complaint with Home Depot do you not use this company

I'm not in the habit of writing yelp reviews, but I felt that this needed to be said. I had a problem with my freestanding gas fireplace and Nevada Heating sent a very nice and impressive young man to fix the problem. The company he works for, however, is pretty much just a greedy and unscrupulous operation. The heating structure in my fireplace is a very basic pilot and burner system with no moving parts--a simple diagnosis for an experienced technician.
The problem turned out to be a $15.00 thermocouple; a coil that the company probably buys in bulk for $10.00 each and took 20 minutes to replace. My cost.$400.00. REALLY?! In their defense, however, it was close to Thanksgiving and the owner probably needed to buy more pies. I hope he enjoyed them.

I have been a customer of Nevada Heating for 20 years. Kyle came out last week when our AC stopped working. Thought we had it fixed, but after 2 visits in the same day, it gave up. It was 20 years old. Ed and Oscar installed a new one today. They worked all day in 90+ degree weather. Never complained, always stopped to answer my questions, very friendly and professional. I highly recommend Nevada Heating. Their techs have always been wonderful. Ask about their maintenance program also!

My swamp cooler was overflowing because it turned out that the float was broken. At the time it seemed serious enough to call in a pro. So I had repairs done on my furnace previously by Home Energy experts and was satisfied with the work. And again I can say that Eric did a good job and I was happy he could take care of the problem. I called them in the morning and by late afternoon he was here. Glad not to wait longer as the hot weather had hit our area and I needed that cooler running. I would definitely recommend them.

STICKER SHOCK Quoted $718 MORE than I actually paid with another company. Home Depot sent this company to give us a quote on replacing a hot water heater. They were prompt to come out within a few days, but that was the best part. After inspecting the situation, the young man sat down with me to do the quote. I started getting a sense it was not going to go well when he insisted on additions that I knew were not needed. Example, a leak alarm ($25) for the pan (not required by code and I already had a leak alarm on the floor: Installation ($100 more than many other companies): $45 for separate galvanized fittings (not charged by another company): $35 for a water pan ($22 at Home Depot).
A separate $100 charge due to galvanized piping, which he stated will not be warranted to the pipes they are connected: The expansion tank must be installed to wall (extra charge, but building inspector says not needed for code approval). This list goes on and on. And I could be wrong about this, but I thought I recognized a gang tattoo. I went to Lowe's and they sent out a different company that gave me a quote which was $718 LESS than this company for the same price water heater, so the extra cost was just for installation difference. Wow. Lastly to add that I got 5 quotes.
This one was $510 more than the next highest quote. Three of the five quotes were at least $525 cheaper. I guess several of the 5 star ratings are probably justified as far as service, but I doubt they got the best price. My new water heater was installed from Lowe's contractor, inspected by the city, approved, and he commented one of the best installations he has seen.

Today was the 2nd time we had our gas fireplace serviced by Home Energy Experts. We were very happy with both experiences. Adam arrived on time, was very thorough, and explained what was done in a way that was easy to understand. The office staff was very professional as well and followed up with texts to confirm and remind me of the upcoming appointment. We had great service when we bought our fireplace there a couple of years ago too. I highly recommend this business.

My tankless water heater started leaking. So I was fortunate to find Home Energy Experts! I sent them pictures of my heater and how it was plumbed and they gave me a very reasonable estimate. I called to schedule an appointment and they were very friendly on the phone. The technician showed up ON TIME and was very professional and clean in doing the job. I couldn't be happier with my experience with HOme Energy Experts!
