I hired The Home Improvement Company to replace a large deck. Mike was helpful in working around another project I had going on and came up with cost-effective plans for the new deck that worked within my budget. Cliff and Rick did a beautiful job building a strong foundation and a gorgeous deck. The workmanship was exceptional and I can't say enough about how pleased I am with the finished project. I started working with Home Improvement Company over 20 years ago when they repaired my roof. Since then they have remodeled my entire home, piece by piece. They remodeled 2 bathrooms, a kitchen 2 bedrooms and a living area, added another bedroom and built a master suite, including adding a third bathroom. They also added on an all season porch. I love my beautiful home!

Working with them started out very good. We received the quote for our kitchen remodel quickly and they were able to start on the work within our timeline. After the work started the lines of communication went dead. There was always an excuse. I had to call at least 3-4 times before finally receiving a call back. They never set up any of the sub-contractors for my kitchen remodel.
I ended up getting my own and basically doing all their work because I never heard anything back from them. The cherry on top was when I called the city to make sure they pulled building permits, they never did like I was told This was after 3 weeks of them starting. After receiving the bill it was $1,000 more than what was quoted without warning and without explanation.
When I asked for an explanation Mike got argumentative and quit in the middle of the work they said they would complete. This left me finding a new contractor to go with. I would not recommend them to anyone. RUN!
