My wife and I recently bought a home in Durham and had a 30 day closing period. Although we did not use Lindsley waterproofing their prompt, thoughtful, and honest email response was much appreciated. Many other companies that I reached out to sought to charge me a few hundred dollars for an estimate but Jim and his team came to inspect for free. If we have any foundation issues in the future Lindsley will be our first call.

Lindsley Waterproofing recently completed a project at my home and did a great job. I received four different quotes for this project, and what stood out about Jim and his team was their thoroughness. They actually addressed the cause of the problem and didn't just propose to treat a symptom. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for water preventing and/or waterproofing solutions.

Lindsley Waterproofing did a wonderful job of resolving a complex drainage issue at my home. The team was a pleasure to work with from start to finish.

Lindsley Waterproofing, Inc. did a job for me in 2002 with 15 helical piers, sump pump, etc. major repair! With our alternating extreme droughts and heavy rains, my house had a weak spot that continued to show movement. Jim Lindsley, true to his warranty, monitored the movement regularly and made some adjustments to the piers. Finally this year we discovered the horrible fact that the weak spot did not have a pier supporting it. Digging through the paper work from the past, I discovered the engineer's report which recommended 15 piers as compared to Jim's original plan of 13, focused mainly on the north end of the house where the big sinking was going on.

The engineer had spread out the placement of the piers, but sadly left the weakest spot unsupported. I had ordered this engineer's report to be safe, but what cruel irony that his plan was wrong! Jim's original drawing would have protected my house so much better. I am sorry Jim gave in to the engineer's plan, but when you consider that now all these jobs are supposed to have an engineer's report, it puts the foundation companies in a hard place--look at this example.

I recognize that there are many excellent engineers, but it's like the doctor joke: what do you call the lowest ranking student among the medical school graduates? "Doctor." Sometimes the people on the job with the experience DO know more than the "experts." In my case the engineer gets by with no consequences whatsoever. I'm the one who has to pay the higher price for the repair, but Jim Lindsley is giving me a discount for his part in the mistake of having followed the engineer's plan instead of his instincts. I find this honorable and decent.

I have benefited since 2011 from the waterproofing and foundation stabilization performed by Lindsley Waterproofing. I was pleased that their work incorporated recommendations from a paid independent structural engineer. They presented me with a detailed proposal with easy to understand diagrams and materials to be used for my unique situation. I was very pleased that they had the expertise to install glass blocks into basement windows and cut a basement door to the yard.

My basement is free of water and mud. I have outside light with privacy coming into the area. The brickwork looks great and the foundation has been stabilized. Express your unique needs and concerns and rest assured that Lindsley Waterproofing will listen and return with viable options and long lasting solutions. Thank you, Lindsley Waterproofing

Back in 1999 we had flooding issues with our home's basement, our dream of a nice family room seemed impossible. Lindsley Waterproofing was recommended to us and after the work they did we cautiously waited through a couple of storms and finished out our basement. We have had no water problems since until a few weeks back and discovered a puddle in the floor after a hard storm.

I called Lindsley's and within a couple of hours a representative came and our problem was a window that needed fixed. Even though this was not a issue for Lindsley's to address the rep did a temporary fix on the window and recommended a window expert. I just feel that this was exceptional and beyond the scope of customer service that seems to be a thing of he pass.

Thank you Lindsley Waterproofing for a great job and for continuing to amaze us. We have recommended you to all our friends and will continue to do so. We can't say enough about your excellent service. Sincerely, Kathy & Bob B

I was very pleased with the work that Lindsley Waterproofing did for me recently. They did demolition of an extensive old ground-level decking system surrounded by flower beds and other landscaping and then constructed a new somewhat redesigned deck. One of my biggest priorities going into the project was preservation of the plants and landscaping that immediately border most sides of the multi-part decking.

I was pleasantly impressed for several reasons. The work was done efficiently and in a timely manner. The workers were skilled, competent, and pleasant. The crew leader appropriately involved me when implementing my design changes and offered well thought out solutions. Thanks to the care taken by the crew, there was no resulting damage to plants and landscaping. Based on my experience, whatever your project might be, I am sure you would be pleased.

I have had Lindsley Waterproofing over three times. The first job effectively waterproofed a basement under a patio area. The second job was for installation of French drains across the front of my house. Six years later, when the walls of the basement began to leak, I learned that they have so many exceptions in their "25-year guarantee" that it wasn't worth the paper it was written on.

At great expense to me, they recommended augmentation of the original job. I agreed. Due to a combination of poor communication between the estimator and the scheduling people in the office, delays, inexperienced laborers, and recent rains, I now have to replace two walls in a downstairs room. Yet it appears that water is still coming in! Their response -- a shrug.
