Very pleased with the wooden stairs they built off our deck. A small (9 stair) job that was much more complex than it looked done quickly, accurately and a good price. The total project costs were within the estimate provided. The workman was very courteous and did an excellent job of keeping me informed of his progress and his schedule.

BUYER BEWARE! Don't be fooled by the reviews like me! Hunt is the lowest of the low. I contacted Hunt to get help on a deck project that was not up to code. He assured me that he would be able to secure the permit and make the needed changes within the week. We met at the Inspector's office, I paid for the permit, paid Hunt the initial deposit of $1000, and he was to create/submit the drawing for approval. Lets just say 2 weeks later, he was STILL unable to secure a permit (see pic below of what he submitted). Now, I understand why he initially told me I didnt need a permit!
After speaking with the Inspector's office, they told me they could not permit the deck with the drawing he submitted! He is essentially a joke now in their office! AND that is considering the fact that they told him EXACTLY what he needed to include in order to get the permit. Needless to say, I had to submit my own plans and received the permit as of last Thursday.
The first thing the Inspector wanted us to do once the permit was approved was to dig the footings for the new 6x6 posts. He just wanted us to dig 3 holes and then he would come and inspect before we could proceed to the next step. You know what Hunt did.he updated the invoice with the additional costs associated with the work the Inspector requested (which is fine); however, HE PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THAT HE NEEDED TO SECURE ADDITIONAL FUNDS BEFORE PROCEEDING!
So you mean to tell me that you have $1000 of my money, you didnt even secure the permit for me and I paid you additional money for that AND NOW you want me to give you more money and you havent done an ounce of work.not EVEN DIGGING HOLES?!? I have requested my money back (which he cashed the same day he received by the way) and have yet to hear from him.
He has stopped answering all calls and text messages. Please Please Please - I implore you all to look elsewhere. He may come off as friendly, nice, trust-worthy, etc. HE IS NOT! After he gets your money, he never answers his phone so again - do not go into business with someone who only wants to text! AND he doesnt want to use paypal either because he knows - they would have taken the money back from him by now! Just the worst I have ever come into contact with! You have been warned!
