Stan The Hot Water Man

We have used Stan the man 2 twice before over the years (thermocouple issue and a pump issue) so I called them with our recent "emergency". Jesse took care of our hot water leak in a fast, friendly and efficient manner. We were charged a very fair price. I highly recommend this company.

Jesse came out on Tuesday and Today to fix our boiler, fast effective and competitive. Nice guy too explained everything. Will continue to use them and thanks Jesse once again

Job was done without the problem. But their final bill doesn't reflect the verbal agreement before the job. They agreed will wave the first trip charge if I go with them for hot water tank replacement. After job done, the final bill still charge for the first evaluation trip. After phone call, the agree to give 50% off for the trip, but that is still meet what they had agreed on before the job

If only I had known about Stan The Water Heater Man along time ago! I cannot be more impressed with the service that they provided. I bought my last two water heaters from George Morlan and called them yesterday for advice after explaining the situation and my error code and they recommended a new water heater and gave me a price that gave me a little sticker shock.

Then I called Jacobs Heating and Air and they said they are booked a few weeks out for installation and they recommended Stan The Water Heater Man. I had a callback within minutes after calling them with a tech (Ian) that listened to my issues and without hesitation, informed me that he thought I could fix it and extend the life on my water heater for many more years. Ian and Matt came out today and explained what the issue was and replaced the necessary parts.

They were very good showing me the parts that failed as well as showing me the new parts. My water heater is functioning like new for about $200! Which is significantly less than what they originally quoted me over the phone without inspecting the water heater. How often does that happen?!? I am totally impressed and one happy customer!

WARNING ABUSIVE REPAIRMAN A repairman body blocked my doorway in front of my children and refused to leave the premises when instructed to. I had to physically remove his hand from my security screen and lock him out of the building. The company is not open to dialogue, and refuses to accept anything I say because my landlord told them not to provide any info to me. I have a police report currently open.

Kenny from Stan The Hot Water Man was able to fit us in as his last appointment of the day on Friday. My 25 year old hot water heater was shot! He was able to schedule us for a new tank install on Monday which I was so grateful for! We can still boil water to get through a weekend, it's not that big of a deal! He was professional on both appointments, wore a mask both visits because a member of the household can't be vaccinated against covid for medical reasons.

The install was complicated from the beginning because the hot water tank is in a closet in the now living room that use to be the garage. The floor has been built up with wood though the closet wasn't, making it sit 8 below the floor. Then there was a question of a drain tube going from the closet to the outside of the house, luckily there was one from the previous tank though not perfect, it was acceptable. Kenny did an absolutely incredible job of getting the old tank out, I actually applauded him!

He brought a stand per my request and had a drain pan, both of which are now installed with the new tank. Old galvanized fittings were replaced with new copper ones. He was able to connect the drain pan to the line going outside. He just did an incredible job, he worked extremely hard for 2.5 hours! I couldn't be happier with the results and the professionalism!

I highly recommend Stan The Hot Water Man company for their professionalism, knowledge and fair prices! I wouldn't and didn't call anyone else because I have known about this company for years, as a former appliance repair business owner, we only referred hot water tanks to them!

Our Navien tankless water heater stopped providing hot water on and off, some of the time. After I flushed and cleaned all the filters, still no success. Reached out to one "famous" Portland institution and they quoted $200 just to come out and check the problem, $40+/hr for any time spent at the house, but please wait a couple days. Had used Stan WAY in the past and finally remembered them so this morning texted them with the problem.

They came out that day (today), understood the root cause immediately did the parts replacement, checked some other issues (leaking trap plug), fixed them and were done in less than 30 minutes. Professional service, friendly, and most importantly they knew what they were talking about and there was no BS. Total cost parts included less that the other Portland "institution" charged just to come out and initiate troubleshooting.

I would highly recommend Stan The Water Heater Man as your first call for ANY water heater-related issues. Hopefully I won't have any future issues but if so going straight to Stan.

Had a great experience with Scott. First of all, their bid was the lowest of 6 I got to replace my tankless water heater - a couple were almost 3 times as much! He came when he said he would, sid a great job, and even corrected some venting that was done improperly, at no additional charge. Really great.

My property management company chose Stan the Hot Water Man and I was apprehensive that they would quickly and accurately diagnose the problem. Jake was my tech and he was knowledgeable (even on an 'ancient' water heater), accurate (he tested and verified his hypothesis), fast (less than five minutes), friendly (He didn't have to explain but took the time to do so anyway), and on-time. Scott from STHWM is the real deal. Our tank went out and he came quickly to fix it. It was an old tank and I've been wanting to have a tankless water heat installed. Took a few weeks to order the Rinnai tankless but Scott did a great job installing the whole thing. new gas line etc. etc. We are really happy with the new Rinnai tankless. Scott was awesome to work with. Very thorough, detail oriented, and really knows his stuff. Seriously great dude and great company to work with. I will use them in the future.

I called Stan the Man late afternoon. My H2O heater stopped working. Jessie called me back within an hour and scheduled a visit for the next afternoon. He was able to get there in the morning and quickly replaced the defective module with a part he had on his truck. Thanks!

Excellent experience! Jake the technician was very professional and efficient. I'm so glad I called Stan the Hot Water Man; I ended up saving a lot of money. I highly recommend going with this company if you need a new hot water heater. You can't beat their price or service!

Our Rheem tankless water heater kept shutting off, so we called the company who installed it. They came out, fiddled with it for a while, charged us an arm and a leg, and left. The heater shut off again two hours later! We called Stan The Hot Water Man the next day. They came out, dismantled the entire heater, cleaned the burner assembly and charged us about half of what the other outfit did. That was three weeks ago, and the heater has been working perfectly ever since. Five stars!

Look no further. I just had an excellent experience having my hot water heater replaced. I bought a water heat from Lowe's (huge mistake). I had a licensed plumber come over to do the job. To make a long story short, he couldn't drain it and declined the job. I called "Stan the hot water man", and Jonny called me back with in five minutes to ask me the details.

He said it would be no problem and scheduled a SPECIFIC date and time for the following week. He came over today and we discovered the Lowe's heater to be heavily damaged out of the box. He went back to the shop and brought back a much better quality heater for the same price I paid at Lowe's. Jonny was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He also observed COVID safety protocols. If you need your water heater replaced, just call these guys.

Excellent service and price. The water heater in our "new-to-us" 1937 home was 35 years old, and the plumbing at the hook-up was out of code. Hunter at Stan the Hot Water Man was very knowledgeable and took care of us. Our special situation, weird plumbing, odd placement of the tank.nothing was too complicated for him! We had priced service from another very popular service in town and Stan the Hot Water Man beat that price by about $300! Highly recommend!

Called for an estimate to have water heater replaced, ended up paying $129 for 3 minutes of time and him touching his multimeter to my water heater power lines. Which I already had out because I had done the same thing! Their dispatch tells me one thing and the technician another. Will be disputing the charges with my bank as I didn't sign an invoice because I didn't agree to 129 for no service or any charge at all for coming out.

Most places charge 20-50 bucks just to come incase they don't do anything or unable to repair. Then I asked him what the 129 covered and he said that would have covered me replacing thermostat or elements, I said great then let's replace them (so i could get some of my moneys worth even tho I could replace them myself) and he didn't because he said mine were fine (even tho they are 9 years old) I even had my own new element and thermostat for him to install. Had the dispatch or technician told me I had to pay 129 even if nothing was done I would have declined.

And saved us all valuable time. Let people know you charge $129 just to walk into their house before coming so people can make an informed decision, don't tell them there won't be a charge then technician say 129. Not sure exactly what covid guidelines are but the tech also continued to pull his mask off once inside my home in the basement.

Excellent and honest service! The technician ( Scott) arrived a few minutes before the scheduled time, did the job quickly and professionally. I had been told by another plumbing agency technician that our boiler( floor heater) was beyond repair and needed to be replaced for $11,000. Scott fixed the problem within 30 min and it cost me a little over $200. Fantastic! I am so happy!
