Merl Goodmanson began working in concrete at age 15, just a kid in Roseville, Minnesota working to make extra money. Now that might seem strange, but back then a kid could try his hand at a skilled trade. Young Merl enjoyed the work, the camaraderie and the satisfaction of a job well done. He liked that he could walk the neighborhood and see his work on display.

I cannot judge their workmanship, only their ill-regard for the neighboring homes, whose mail service was disrupted by the fact they chose to BLOCK the mailboxes, mine included. Four of us had no delivery, as the mail truck will NOT deliver if the boxes are blocked! They also made it next to impossible for the garbage collectors to get through AND pick up the trash.
Their trucks and trailers (not in use) could have been parked around the corner, where they would not be disrupting traffic flow. My immediate neighbors are not happy! I would NEVER recommend a company like this one.

We had a garage floor that was cracked and the one side of the footing was starting to shift. Also had need of a new driveway. Jake and Scott were great to work with. The crew did a great job of lifting the garage, demolishing the old garage slab and footings pouring a new slab and then tearing out the old driveway and pouring new. Needless to say the new garage floor and driveway look fantastic.

Our Townhome Association has used them for a major (for us) driveway project. It's a difficult property on a hill with a hairpin turn. Goodmanson worked with us to identify the best solution - concrete for part and asphalt for another. They were communicative all through the process, from estimation to project scheduling to project management to billing. Crews were efficient and professional, the crew leads did a great job communicating and cleanup was top notch.

Our previous driveway was amazing - done by another contractor we couldn't track down again. Went with Goodmanson as they seemed knowledgeable and easy to work with. Had cement work done by them that was outstanding. Our driveway, not so much. It was installed in May, crews were great, supervisor was amazing. The reason for the mediocre review is that after it was done, we have had multiple instances of our vehicle tires leaving marks in the new asphalt (we stayed off of it for 2 weeks, recommended time to stay off was only 7 days).
When we questioned Goodmanson about it, they said it was due to high temps. This was in MAY, before the heat really took off. I get that it has been an unusually hot summer, but we have had heat before and NEVER had tire marks in the asphalt. Also, some WD-40 was sprayed on tires while working on a vehicle, and when moved, some of the asphalt came up on the tire - I have never had to worry about spilling WD-40 on my driveway before. Wondering why there are issues.

We used Goodmanson to replace our sidewalks and put in a new cement driveway. They were outstanding to work with from start to finish. From Jake in sales to Corbin the project manager to Connor the onsite supervisor, they were all professional, knowledgeable, courteous and wanted to make sure we were getting the product we wanted. Connor was meticulous with his onsite work and the whole team gave 100%. We are so pleased with the quality of the end result and the way it immediately updated our house. Thank you, Goodmanson!

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, Value I tried to use them, I really did. I can't even get ahold of them to help me out with my concrete project. I'm definitely going to be calling someone else. I saw one of their trucks and called the number on it, but no one picks up. Too bad because I signed with a competitor today!

I called to get a quote for a driveway and a concrete floor for a shop, and was less than impressed with the person I spoke to on the phone. They were short with me and seemed like they didn't want to waste their time on my projects. I tried to ask some questions and they cut me off and didn't let me say anything. I had been told from others that sometimes they short change jobs by using three inch slabs instead six inch slabs to cut corners, but I decided to try them out anyway.
I only got as far as a phone call and I could definitely see that they cut corners with quality customer service, so I can safely assume they'll cut corners on any project I send their way.

This company is pretty terrible. Called on 8/7 asking if they had interesting in pricing some asphalt repairs. They drug me along for about 3 weeks, continued to tell me they would send me a bid and just never did. Why not just tell me your too busy? I am a property manager and had deadlines to meet. This was extremely frustrating dealing with this company. New customers beware! they seem to have enough work right now.
