Together, these remodeling companies meet the comprehensive needs of homeowners in the Central Ohio area. Both of Mark's companies are licensed, bonded and insured.

Prior to hiring Kresge Contracting, I developed a request for a quote so that I could accomplish multiple goals--repairs and refresh within a modest budget for my kitchen, half bath, and full bath in my Clintonville home. After reviewing several company offers, I decided to work with Kresge because of their professional manner, detailed documentation in their proposal, and their track record of satisfied customers.
I would recommend Kresge Contracting to anyone looking for kitchen or bath upgrades or remodeling. The company owner and design consultant are invested in helping the customer to obtain a great outcome and use their showroom and design experience to assist customers in articulating and selecting their kitchen/bath design choices. The project management structure that is used ensures that all of the contractual details happen.
The project manager for the project exceeded my expectations for communications about schedule and what I as the home owner needed to do to support the work to fit into the overall schedule. The project was finished about 2 weeks ahead of the projected schedule for project completion even though there were manufacturing and supply chain issues to be dealt with due to the global pandemic stay-at-home orders. I am highly satisfied with the results both from the appearance and functionality outcomes and from the impact on my wallet.

We looked for a trusted company that did excellent work and kept within our budget. And we found it with Kresge Contracting. Kresge helped us transform the vision we had for our first floor into a reality that exceeded our expectations. The success begins with Mark Kresge. His credentials demonstrate he has high professional standards and Mark made certain the entire project and his team maintained high quality standards.
He offered advice on what ought to/needs to be done, but he was also attentive to our needs. Dave Murray helped create an interior design that blended perfectly with our vision. By listening to our ideas, he was able to research different options and solve problems throughout the design stage. It wasn't too far into the working relationship that Carol said of Dave, "He gets it." And of the finished project, we can add "He nailed it!" Andy Leighninger was our project manager.
It's probably more accurate to say Andy was our "go-to problem solver extraordinaire". Any project of this nature encounters unforeseen problems, and Andy stayed on top of everything. Whenever we requested changes, Andy made sure they were done quickly and correctly. Equally important, Andy's commitment to exceptional customer service made our relationship like a real partnership. The work of installing new flooring, electrical, plumbing and painting was similarly carried out by a team of workers that was always courteous, diligent, and responsive to any of our requests. They came in, stayed on task, and got it done. Add an outlet? No problem. Repair some old wall damage? No problem. Take out a wall? No problem. Move a floor vent?
No problem. Replace a cabinet door? Of course, no problem. The entire project was handled with this same ease, no matter what change we requested. Behind the scenes, Mark Morris made sure the project plan and expediting moved forward on time. He and Tawny Bsatee were terrific in communicating the status of the project and keeping track of the details.
That's the kind of team you'll work with when dealing with Kresge. Kresge's fees are very reasonable and any changes made were always based on our requests and approval. The acid test? We are pleased beyond words at our remodeled first floor. We love it.

Kresge Contracting was very professional and delivered fantastic results for our master bathroom remodel. They listened to what we didn't like about our old bathroom and what features we would like and they made suitable suggestions for the remodel. I also really appreciate that they limited some of the options for us based on our design discussion because material selection can be very overwhelming. Overall, I highly recommend Kresge Contracting and we will be using their services again when we're ready for remodeling the rest of our bathrooms.

Gearhart Kitchen Remodel (April - July 2017) Up until I retired in 2016, my husband and I lived with our small, cave like kitchen. I had made comments over the years about updating it but wasn't until I retired and we were tripping over each other that he acknowledged the wisdom of a new floor plan. Once we decided to remodel the kitchen of our 1923 home we called Kresge Contracting about the project.
They renovated our upstairs bathroom and installed a second one on our main floor three years ago and we were very pleased with the outcome of the project. Mark Kresge (company president) responded in a timely manner and we had a meeting to discuss design options for the kitchen. Once Mark understood our "wants and needs" he designed our new kitchen.
He also knows to ask the right questions - such as "how is your comfort on the upper floor?" Per Mark, "It is easier to make these kinds of modifications when the walls are open." In the process of construction, a second cold air return was installed on our upper floor, which has made it easier to cool and much more comfortable. The remodel not only required the gutting of the existing kitchen but also the removal of the wall between the kitchen and dining room.
Since our house is old, the question of lead paint and asbestos needed to be addressed. Lucky for us, our house does not contain lead paint, however we did need to deal with asbestos removal on the heating duct in the demolished wall. Kresge takes environmental hazard issues seriously and has been trained to identify and address them in an appropriate manner. Andy L. (our project manager) was timely, courteous and really knows his job.
He has excellent communication and organizational skills, which were evident in the smooth flow of the renovation. We were told the job would take about 12 weeks and Andy ensured that the schedule was followed. He kept us informed of the "who, what, where and what time" during the course of the project. Problems were dealt with in a timely manner and to our satisfaction.
The personnel that performed the work were knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. My husband and I never felt uncomfortable with any of the contractors or subcontractors and in fact we had some very interesting conversations. We absolutely love our newly remodeled kitchen; it is open, clean and bright. The new layout is easy for us to navigate without tripping over each other and there are no more inaccessible cave-like lower cabinets or wasted space (especially over the cabinets - no more nasty, dirty cabinet tops to clean!)

Over the past 10 years Kresge Contracting has completed three remodeling projects for us: a two-story addition in 2007, a bathroom remodel in 2016 and a major kitchen remodel earlier this year. Kevin Hittepole was the project manager for the two-story addition and the kitchen. The reason we have used Kresge for three projects is that their work is very high quality, but at a competitive price.
Everything is done very professionally, with everything in writing to minimize surprises. home owner. Kevin erected a plastic barrier to protect the rest of the house from the dust created by the kitchen demolition. It worked great! We are completely satisfied with Kresge's work, thanks in no small part to Kevin Hittepole. I would highly recommend that anyone who is considering a remodeling project at least get an estimate from Kresge. We love our two-story addition, bath and kitchen.

We are a repeat customer of Kresge Contracting. In 2004 they did 2 upstairs bathrooms for us. In 2016 they completely renovated our kitchen and downstairs bath, taking the area down to the studs, reconfiguring it, and building it back up. We have been extremely impressed with the outcomes after both our projects. Mark Kresge listened to us during the design phase and really captured what we wanted to accomplish while adding some recommended features based on his expertise that we have appreciated.
The designer knowledgeably helped us pick out each of the components and walked us through all the steps so that we were ready to go when construction started. The construction team was polite, easy to work with while we occupied part of the house and they occupied the other part, and did a great job cleaning up after themselves. Having a project coordinator to be the point person for communication is great.
It was also evident that communication among the entire team was ongoing and thorough. The craftsmanship is superb and the end results are both beautiful and highly functional. We have recommended them to many of our friends.

We have had Kresge do two projects for us. The first was a total remodel of the kitchen and powder room. The design suggestions made the layout much more functional. The work of the crew was excellent, and they cleaned up each day (which was appreciated as there was a lot of wall and ceiling removal). The supervisor kept us informed of what was to be done and when at each step.
The work was finished a week early and on budget. The second was a major remodeling of the master suite. This included expansion into the garage roof, adding a second walk in closet and a total gutting of the master bath and redo. Again, the crew was efficient, the supervisor kept us informed and they always cleaned up. And Kresge stands behind their work. There was a vent issue a few weeks after they finished the second project. Kresge quickly made all corrections. I would recommend them for any remodeling project.

We were extremely lucky to find Mark Kresge to remodel our kitchen in Columbus. Kevin, our Project Manager was more professional than we had even expected and a great craftsman. The sub-contractors they chose did great work and everything was on time and budget. Kresge guided us through the process and kept us up to the minute on everything that was happening in our house. The price was fair, less than some of the big, fancy remodelers' quotes we received. We will use them in the future to renovate our bathrooms and basement.
