Renaissance Rug Cleaning is wonderful. For over 20 years I have collected Oriental rugs, primarily antique tribal rugs. This year Renaissance Rug Cleaning has provided me with over 15 rug pads and cleaned and repaired a fragile antique tribal rug. The repair and cleaning was top rate. The rug pads are also top rate but the cleaning and repair of my favorite antique tribal rug is why I am writing this recommendation.

Val and Randy were amazing! Very responsive and great communication. The rug looked great when it came back. They are experts, knew where my rug had come from and how to clean it (what to do and what to not do). The deliver guys were great too.

We had an emergency with a massive stain on our rug. We called another rug cleaning company that we had used for over 20 years and they were less than helpful. First, they really could not give us any suggestions of what to do at home and second, they were totally unavailable to pick up the rug for a week. We found about Renaissance and called them.

They were wonderful. We received instructions on what to do on an urgent basis (it worked) and then they picked up the rug that day. The delivery folk were wonderful. The cleaning was superb. They were able to clean the wool and silk rugs so it looked new. Well we now know who to call!

Dye leaked from a pet mishap. Did not think it was cleanable because of the maroon bleed into beige. Got the rug back yesterday, I am amazed at the fantastic job. We have been so pleased with all the services from Renaissance Rug Cleaning. We live in Washougal, WA and have some oriental rugs of a large size that are too difficult for us to move, transport and reset after cleaning. Renaissance is willing for a very nominal fee to delivery the rug after cleaning and place in the room where it has come. We also have used them to repair two rugs that belonged to my grandmother so much be over a hundred years old.

They did on both of these rugs a beautiful job: one needed work on binding and the other needed some thin, weak areas rewoven. You will not be disappointed with their work or service ---- very pleasant family people with which to deal.

Renaissance Rug Cleaners are fabulous to work with. Very knowledgeable about how to care for your rugs. I brought in 4 rugs that had been stored dirty for over a decade and they came back looking great! They even did a few minor repairs that I couldn't even tell had been repaired. I'll be using this company from now on for sure!

Really, this is the place to take your fine rugs. Those handwoven ones you treasure. The natural dyes that you worry will be damaged anywhere else. Those special knots or fine fringe. Renaissance Rug Cleaning is the best. Their hand washing techniques respect the integrity of the rugs that were made to be so beautiful. I have taken my lovely Turkish rug, woven in a yurt from local natural dyes, to be cleaned twice in about 8 years.

Both times they did an excellent job. The staff will measure carefully, look deeply for any issues, identify your rug with great accuracy, and do minor repairs included in the wash price. (I assume they do more extensive repairs for customers, but I have not needed that) Their pricing is fair and their process careful and thorough. If you value the artistry and cultural/historical beauty of your area rugs, you will take them here. They do a wide range of types of rugs, (synthetic dyes too, I think) and it's an education to drop off or pick up your rug to see what else others are bringing in. They also pick up from your home, if you need that. A great company. I have no worries taking my rug there. Am exceedingly pleased with the outcome.

These guys are really terrific. They're actually a find. Been using them for years on our nice hand knotted and machine knotted rugs. Renaissance is knowledgeable, conscientious, and best of all provide a great service of professional hand cleaned rugs. Their goal is an actual cleaned rug! They'll run it again if it's not completely clean. They deep clean.

Really old school stuff. Trust me, I've had other top pro rug cleaning services in Portland and in Seattlek in past years. Their cleaning just don't last very long- They're not cleaning the rugs as deeply or as thoroughly. Renaissance would be a 5 out of 5. The other services are about a 3 out of 5. These guys work hard, honest hours- local family run business. Highly recommended.

They provide good, solid service and work; are generous with information and suggestions not only about cleaning and maintenance but about the specific rugs themselves; and are never pushy. My estate-sale purchased rugs look great, I now know their origin and age, and I'm a happy customer.

Randy and staff have been cleaning our rugs for 20 plus years and have always done a fabulous job. Repaired a large handwoven Persian rug with some moth damage beautifully. For years I have been taking my collectible rugs to he best known cleaner in the city. But not any more. After a first experience at Renaissance, I am fully committed to their careful technique, respect for the integrity of the weaver's art and the use of authentic material used in carpet repair. I've been a customer of Renaissance Rug Cleaning for many years. I trust them to take care of my rugs. I've recently been back to get my rugs cleaned after dealing with frequent urination on my rugs by my two dogs. My efforts to clean it up only seem to make it worse and the smell was unbearable. Whenever people came over I apologized for the urine smell. After being cleaned by Renaissance Rug Cleaning, my rugs and my house no longer smell like dog pee and I feel confident inviting people over again.

When Renaissance returned the rug to us, it was impossible to find the ares that had been repaired. They did an excellent job. Sadly, they declined an offer to take our dog.
