The life span of a roof is greatly affected by the technique that is implemented during the installation and that is why we insist on using the finest cedar shake wood and hand nailing. Doing this by hand prevents nails from being over-driven and therefore compromising the integrity of the wood or from the converse, which is being under-driven. An under-driven nail would be visible and impede the beauty of the finished project.

Shout out to Chad T and The Shake Guys. After several poor experiences with multiple roofing companies, Chad came to my home, inspected my roof, made some caulking repairs and offered recommendations on my asphalt roof.... They are shake roofing guys! He was kind, courteous, considerate of the Covid situation and honest. Shake roof? These are your people! Makes me want to change my roof. Tell your friends! Thanks

I had a loose eave vent on the front of my house that I could not reach.3 siding companies we’re to busy to help.so I went to Home Depot to look for a tall extension ladder to rent but I would still need help due to my injured arm.walking thru the lot I saw a truck that said “ shake guys” with a big ladder on top and I thought what the heck, why nor ask.I talked to the gentleman in the truck and told him of my problem, the loose eave vent hanging down.he said he only did shake roofs but said my problem seemed like an easy fix.i told him I was very close to home depot and he said he could take a look at it.
Sure enough 10 minutes later chad the owner of shake guys pulled up in his truck, set up his ladder, fixed my eave vent and added nails to the fascia,put his ladder back on his truck and said have a nice day. WOW! I couldn’t thank him enough.want to hire a real professional than hire ” shake guys”.

Definitely the kind of people you would want to do business with! I needed a few cedar shakes to make a repair on my daughters playhouse. I checked several places only to find that I would have to buy a lot of shakes, no one sold them in small quantities. I reached out to the Shake guys asking if I could buy a few pieces from them. Chad called me (after hours) to see if he could help. Chad knows how hard it is to buy just a few shakes so he told me he would set some aside for me! This says a lot about the kind of company the Shake Guys are! I would highly recommend them and trust that they would do an excellent job! Thank you Chad!
