Mediocre experience last week. I went to get 2x4x10 and 2x6x10 KD lumber for framing out a basement for Drywall. I arrived at the 2x4x10 spot and it was about 40 boards of left over swag (aka junk) Then it took then 15 minutes to decide to pull down another pick. Really? The yard worked was patient with me when I picked through 60 plus studs in the new pick to get my 30. Onward to the 2x6x10's.

They didn't have a pick pulled, there was 10 boards of junk. Again the yard worker was patient while I picked through 30 plus boards to get 10! All I can say their prices where the cheapest around (yes I phone shopped lumber prices) and let's just say I got what I paid for. cheap wood. I won't be back. Update 6/15 - So I used 25 of the 2x4's for walls and 6 of the 2x6's. The other 5 2x4's and 4 2x6's weren't good enough for a 10' high wall. Oh well never again!

I rarely ever make it a point to post a review on a website but I feel like I not only need to review this many, I also need to WARN people not to use them. If I could give zero stars, I would. My story here: I'm in the process of opening up my first buisness and needed a few pieces of tempered glass made. In February, I was put into intact with Pat Donahue.

It took him to March 15 to give me a quote. Should have been a res flag then, but I know people are busy. I told Pat the quote looked good but tk hold off on placing the order because I wasn't opening until June. He assured me that "it's all set, all we have to do is click send." So in April, I reached out again asking for them to be ready for May.

I kid you not when I say it took me a solid three weeks of calling Pat day after day after day for him to get back to me. When he finally did, he assured me "yup! The order is placed. We're good to go." Two weeks later, I still have no confirmation. So I call and call and call AGAIN. Pat says "the order is placed, it'll be here in 10 days." I call 10 days later asking if I can pick it up ( my buisness now opens in 3 days).

And he tell me that he essentially 1) forgot to place the order, so sorry about that 2) they're not going to be on time, actually they're going to be here in July 3) oh and by the way the price is actually double I've called Pelham building supply many times trying not to right this. Finally pat in a fury (of his own making) told me to go ask another glass company for a quote. Had I know this company/Pat would have been such a nightmare, I would have called Westford glass in the first place.

Purchased several doors, had an issue with dimensions, Pelham Building Supply helped rectify the situation. Quality products, affordable pricing, and quick arrival. Would definitely recommend Pelham Building Supply for good quality building supplies, and knowledgeable staff.

I was introduced to Pelham Building Supply a few years ago. I purchase all of my wood pellets there. A nice locally owned business with a great crew! Kevin, the driver, was personable, professional, and prompt. I cannot suggest using them enough.

My first choice for hardware because they carry good stuff, not cheap stuff. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly as well.

It was surprisingly quiet this morning. Great place. Super helpful. Much better than the big box stores.

Excellent store. I'm really happy my contractor recommended it to me. I usually check out anything by Andersen here.

2 reviews in one. COVID19 0 Stars This is a no mask facility. The only person I saw wearing a mask was in an office. They depend on a sneeze guards around the service desk area. This as we are expecting another 100,000 deaths by mid January. LUMBER YARD 4 stars. Sales made sure they were visible and ready to help behind the service desk. Got what I wanted and told where I could pick it up.

There was no one around for about 5 minutes as I waited along with another customer who was wearing a mask. An outdoor salesperson (mask less) pointed me to an area where I could pick out my lumber from appropriate pile. He was very helpful after I found the correct stack. I guess it's going to be HD for the rest of supplies as much as I'd like to spend at local small business.

Special ordered a door gave requirement of my rough opening height and door width I required, and material, when ordered double checked what I was getting was height expected. when it came in it was not the material expected and taller than expected, lots of miscommunication and unclear, there system should provide more clear information i.e. I do take some of the blame as I trusted them to quote me on what I asked for, but notes were taken on a scrap piece of paper. Ordering windows for the big box store provide much more clear results. Unless you are a contractor I would second guess special ordering without more information.
