Murphy Overhead Doors

Had a door replaced in early June 2022 after my 12 year old door was damaged. The whole process was great working with Murphy Overhead Doors. The estimator was fair and honest, didn't try to upsell me on any features I didn't really need. They answered the phone in the office and were very polite. Everyone arrived at the scheduled times. The quote was competitive, and they had a lot of inventory in stock which saved me waiting 16 weeks for a new door from other companies I received quotes from. The install was really top notch, Hunter removed the old door and installed the new door in about 5 hours on my two car garage.

We needed a total door and power opener replacement. I called Tuesday and talked to Cindy. She scheduled our work for today. This morning Bob arrived right on time. Installed everything perfectly. Double checked to be sure everything worked perfectly. Cleaned up. hauled away our old door and opener. IF YOU HAVE A GARAGE DOOR NEED. MURPHY IS THE BEST.NO THE ONLY CHOICE!

Technicians were friendly and professional. Took time to answer all my questions. Did a quality installation of two doors plus new openers. Highly recommend them both for sales and installation

I had the pleasure of working with Tamara and Tim. Ever since purchasing my house, the garage door had a nasty gap on the one side, letting in hot and cold air, as well as moisture. I tried tinkering with it and had no luck. Couldn't get it corrected. I called on a Monday, was set up with an appointment Tuesday from 10-2 window. I received a call Tuesday morning around 9:15 a.m. by Tim, advising he would be there momentarily! Tim had a plan of action, got it all adjusted and straightened out, all for a fair price.

I am in the auto service industry, and I know that communication is important. This company got an A+ from me across the board. Will definitely call them again. I asked them to do a whole check of the entire system, and although Tim advised it's a little bit older and on the cheaper side there was no reason to start replacing anything unnecessarily. I was not hit with a bunch of upsell! Told me how to maintain it, and charged a super fair price for what was done. Excellent!

The spring on our garage door broke over the weekend, and we were planning to replace the garage door and opener anyway so we called Murphy's. I called on Monday around 11am, by 1pm we had a tech at our house who was very knowledgeable and we picked out a replacement door and opener. We scheduled the install for the following Monday but then received a call that they could install on Thursday.

Within 4 days we had a new garage door and opener. There was a slight mis-communication on the window inserts we choose and when the installer was here he contacted the office and they had the right inserts brought over and installed. I would highly recommend Murphy Overhead Door. The staff was friendly and you can't beat the prompt service.

I called on Thurs Feb 24th to have a cable replaced on my overhead garage door. I was advised the earliest someone could get there would be Mon Feb 28th. I was hoping would be sooner, however I would wait and be patient until Mon. I went on an errand for an hr, returning home, the Murphy van was in my driveway, the tech finished early and arrived to do the job at my house.

I am thankful Murphy sent someone sooner, the technician Bob was very professional and meticulous on the job. I would had given 10 stars, but 5 was the highest. Thank you Murphy Overhead doors Sylvia G.

Bob showed up early, worked all day. Did a FANTASTIC job, very courteous, very professional, when I had questions, he had answers, even left my garage as clean as he found it, great company, we will definitely be back as customers, from the people on the phones to the installers, great company!

If you want a professional, competent installation of an operator, call Murphy Overhead Doors. Tommy was here right on time this morning with a bright and cheerful attitude. The installation went perfectly and we're very happy with the Lift Master equipment. And I know they'll be there if we ever need service. You won't get all that from the Big Box stores.

I highly recommend Murphy's overhead door for any garage door work around the Capital District. I needed a new garage door opener unit. After browsing Murphy's overhead door website I decided to stop in early in the morning to take a look at the products they offer. Cindy took us to their product display and went over the door opener product line and features.

She was very knowledgeable, completely answering my questions, with no pressure to buy. The price she quoted including installation and taxes was lower than I had anticipated. The unit had all the features I was looking for and surprisingly included wifi with app door controls! I was scheduled for the next afternoon. Bob called early in the scheduled time frame to let me know we would be arriving in about a half hour. Bob was been absolutely wonderful.

He was extremely skilled, professional, knowledgeable and the work was done to perfection. The unit came with two remotes, a keyless entry pad, and one wired button. We had two wired buttons on our existing setup. Bob added the extra wired button with no extra cost! Bob was immaculate in keeping the work area clean, going so far as to putting paper towels under the end rails to prevent any lubricant from seeping to floor! The process was completely stress free. As I stated above, I highly recommend this company for any of your garage door needs.

We purchased our new garage door (July 2021) and motor from Murphy's Overhead Doors and want to share the entire process from scheduling our site visit to purchasing the new garage door and ultimately the entire installation was absolutely seamless for us. Jennifer within the front-end office was always available and quite pleasant to answer our various technical questions and to coordinate our new garage door order as well as scheduling the service/install call.

The installation team (motor and new garage door and components) both Murphy OH Doors Installers Zach and Tom did an awesome job and also answered our numerous technical questions and explained the process throughout and completed the install in the allotted time frame. They were also very pleasant to deal with throughout their scheduled work tasks and very knowledgeable on the installation process.

They cleaned up the site after this installation and hauled away all debris. Zach explained to us the functionality and options with the new garage door. The new door truly has transformed the appearance of our home and we are very pleased with the outcome as well as with the Murphy's OH Door Team. Thank you all for your efforts and team work. From my first encounter with Cindy I was very impressed with this business. She was courteous, very knowledgeable about the product and was attentive to my need. The installers, Zack and Bob arrived on time, worked diligently and cleaned up after they completed the job. I would certainly recommend this company to anyone looking for garage doors.

We had an incredible experience with Murphy Overhead Doors - and namely Zack, the technician who was at our house within 15 minutes of our initial phone call. The most pleasant and competent guy we've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Kind of wish he could've stayed longer! On a serious note, he was at the house within 15 minutes, was able to assess and fix our snapped cable and crooked, broken door in a half-hour flat. And the price can't be beat. This company is seriously terrific.

I broke my garage door (busted POS anyway) on the Friday we were leaving for vacation. I called Monday morning when we got back and they had the tech out same day! He was very personable and explained that my door was not worth repairing (which I knew) and went over all the options for me. My old door never had an auto opener so I was determined to get one this time and hoping not to pay a fortune for it.

The tech was able to find the door I wanted AND the opener for under $1400! (I have a small garage). AND to top it off he had me scheduled for the next day! The installer was equally nice and explained everything to me along the way. I know other reviews have said the phone staff was rude but I did not find that to be the case. I talked to a female a few times as the installer had to come back to put in a part to make my uneven garage work better w/ the door and each time she was very nice.

I usually call several places and get all kinds of estimates but these guys were so nice and easy to work with I didn't bother. I'd give more stars if I could. Very VERY happy with my new door!

Murphy Overhead Door replaced our ancient heavy huge garage door. They provided a fair price, they came when they said they would, they installed it perfectly and cleaned up every bit of debris from the old door and materials used for the installation. Our installer was hard working and courteous. We recommend them highly.

We are thoroughly impressed with Murphy's! If we could use their service again, we would. However, since we won't need to install another garage door in this house, we are recommending this amazing business to everyone! The ladies in the office were very nice and extremely helpful. They were down-to-earth and answered all of our questions.

The installation took less than half of the expected time, and our installer (I think Josh?) was punctual, professional, courteous, and efficient. There was a slight mix up with the design detail, which was handled quickly and without frustration. Superior customer service, and an affordable, quality product. 5 stars earned! Thanks again guys!

I'm very pleased with this company. A representative came out the next day to check the problem & the service man came the day after that to actually fix the problem. Both were respectful & knowledgeable. The problem was fixed efficiently with good explanation of the work done. The cost was reasonable. I'm happy I called them.

Murphy's installed my overhead doors and I couldn't be happier. They look amazing and really add value to our home. The people who work there are really polite and friendly. I would highly recommend their services!

I was having problems with my keypad placed outside the garage. It would not save my code and open the garage door when needed. I tried re-setting the code and changing the battery but nothing worked. I stopped in their shop and they replaced the keypad under warranty. All is working well now. I highly recommend Murphy Overhead Doors and I thank them for their help.

The equipment is top notch, we purchased a LiftMaster with a belt drive and are very pleased with the quietness of the operation. The installer (Mason) did an excellent job and was very helpful in explaining how everything works, he spent plenty of time going over all of the new features that this door did. Their customer service lady that answers the phone is horrible but the installer guys are great.

Terrible service and very unprofessional. Was sold into something I didn't want but felt pressured into buying and my garage door is still not opening right! Update- I was just charged for the guy to come back out and fix something that the company didn't install properly in the first place and its still not working right! I had another contractor from another company come out today and, wouldn't ya know it, he fixed my garage door! He charged me a quarter of the price (85 to fix door) that I paid Murphy's. Don't waste ur money.

Can't say enough, got a quote on Friday. Monday the door was installed flawlessly. Took away the old and can't be any happier with the new. I have to admit I was a little nervous about a one man installation. Never again, wow, they really know what there doing. I highly recommend their service to all.

We have used this company over the years for various garage door repairs and the service has always been great! The technicians are professional and have always fixed the problem. Lately, however, we've been getting terrible customer service on the front end - the office staff is too busy to take our phone calls and rude when we try to find out why it's taking so long for a part to come in.

The person who answers the phone needs some serious customer service training! The actual service part where the guy comes out to fix the broken door is awesome, but it's tough getting past the poor attitude and unhelpful behavior of the person on the phone at the other end when I call. Sadly, we will be taking our business elsewhere from now on, since multiple complaints have failed to resolve this issue.

This company was great. My garage door was broken. It seemed like a simple enough repair, but I'm not handy at all. And that's an understatement. So I thought I'd get a handyman to come by and do the repair. He came and looked it over, said he could do it, and then another job ran long. Now I was getting impatient, so I decide to bite the bullet and call in a garage door professional.

I was a bit apprehensive about taking a shot in the dark on a company I knew nothing about. But this company was great. I called in the morning. They said they could have someone over between noon and 4pm. A repairman came over around 2:30. He was very nice and didn't mind that young master Daniel B. wanted to watch him use tools. Not only did he fix what was broken, but he identified a problem that was hidden to me, which was the cause of the problem in the first place.

The bill has yet to come, and we'll see how the repair holds up. But I trust everything will be as expected. I think he said the bill should be in the ballpark of $125. In the grand scheme of home repair, I feel like I got off easy. Whew.
