Just had Peter do an annual maintenance on my system. He tested and thoroughly cleaned all indoor units - removing and cleaning the filters and the internal system components including the blower wheel. I highly recommend this company for maintenance of Mitsubishi Electric ductless systems!

Buyer beware! Currently obtaining bids for replacing central ac units for my 3200sq ft home. This company refused to provide a quote solely because I mentioned I've previously obtained bids. They literally said they are "competitive but not with other bids "

Preferred Air was one of three contractors that I requested a quote to install a ductless split type AC/Heat Pump system in my house. Right from the start of requesting the quote and the subsequent visit to my house to do a walk through, to installation every person I dealt with was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Betty Jo Tremblay handled the quoting process and walk through and was very responsive in getting me the original quote and a requote when we decided on a change.

The two men that did the installation (sorry forgot their names) were professional, polite, knew what they were doing, cleaned up and we're here everyday on time. They installed all the wall units in the house and cleaned up after the work was done. Once the system was installed Patrick Packard came by to charge the system, get it up and running and go over the operation of the unit with us. He was very patient and did a great job showing us how to operate the wall units and remotes correctly. I would highly recommend Preferred Air.

The house that we purchased has split units for heating and cooling with electric baseboard that we use as a backup. While a split unit system is easy to use and extremely efficient, this particular system has been plagued with leaks. We contacted Preferred air to identify the problem and address it. The first service call did not address the problem and two days later the system was blowing cold air (instead of warm).

I contacted the company. They went above and beyond to send out a second crew and address the issue. I'd like to think that I was reasonable with them, and Preferred Air was incredibly responsive. Their techs are knowledgable, diligent, and patient in explaining the work they they have performed. They earned a five star review by going the extra mile. Highly recommended.

I hired Preferred Air to do a complete furnace and A/C replacement for my home, and I couldn't be more pleased. The business folks were knowledgeable and helpful. The install team was clean, efficient, and conscientious, and issues that arose during the process were communicated clearly. My questions and concerns were addressed promptly. We purchased two mini-split AC units Preferred Air and we love them. The company is great to work with. Someone always answers the phone, they are friendly and honest. The on-site crews were efficient, polite and tidy. They left no mess behind in our home. Preferred Air even submits your warranty info and emails you the info for your files. I can't recommend them enough.

I have been a customer for years with Preferred Air and hold them in the highest regard. The air in our home has been getting better and better over the years with all the upgrades we've done. Preferred Air just installed AC at my house over the last two days. Shaun, Tyler and Boris did a fantastic job. Very professional and courteous. They kept the job site clean and neat both days. The system they installed looks great and works perfect. The best thing is that it runs whisper quiet. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a new AC system.

Very professional team (except their subcontractor electrician) They came did a fantastic job on our boiler system replacement.

I can't say enough good things about preferred air. We have used them twice for our AC. Both times they were able to come out same day and they were able to fix the issues in a single visit. I will continue to use them and keep recommending them to friends.

I cannot say enough good things about the team at Preferred Air. When I realized that my new condo required a complete re-build of the central air system, they went above and beyond by providing valuable advice on how to design the system to accommodate the challenge of a big open space with 20' ceilings. Additionally, they identified and fixed air flow problems resulting from a poorly designed installation.

The team handled the very complicated job with utmost professionalism, courtesy and importantly, expertise. It was a pleasure working with them and I am thrilled with my new (working!) system Preferred Air simply rocks.

Preferred Air has twice done excellent jobs diagnosing and replacing or repairing one of our condo unit's finicky HVAC systems. We've been treated with utmost courtesy by Leo who had to deal with our scheduled 2 month trip out of state. He never seemed to lose patience with our questions and requested work date changes. Quite remarkable and very much appreciated. Matt Evans is a super tech who replaced the evaporator coil on one unit on site. It's never worked as well. He patiently answered all our questions as well as doing a great job for us.

So thankful for our Two new heating systems. Our 30 yr old Heat Pump systems needed to be replaced. We got 4 quotes ranging from $18 to $29k. Preferred Air best price, service, professional, clean job, and great efficient systems. And they are still available for service and warranty!

I called this afternoon explaining our issue with our AC. wasn't blowing full force and would not get below 83 in the house. Fernando came out and looked at it. Noticed the freeon was low, quick fix. Thanks so much!

I called this morning because our furnace pilot wasn't lighting. I called several other companies prior and finally got through right away to Preferred Air at 10:50am. Within an hour they were at our house. Shaun who was our technician didn't have the part but went straight to the warehouse and it was fixed by 2pm. We have never had to call for our furnace in the 9years being at our house and we will absolutely call again whenever there is a need. Thank you for giving us heat again in our house especially when we have a child.

Luis was awesome! From the moment he entered the house, he was extremely professional and it was obvious from the outset that he knew exactly what he was talking about. I learned a lot about my system that I didn't know and he checked everything thoroughly and advised me on the things that he could fix and the things that I could do on my own to fix some of the other issues.

My drain line was far too long (this was done by the original installer of the system which shall remain nameless!) and he showed me how I could shorten it and make it more efficient - he didn't try to sell me any expensive services, simply showed me how I could fix it. This was my first time with this company and I was very very impressed. I will definitely be using Preferred Air again the next time I need any HVAC repairs. Highly recommend! A++++++++

This is a great company that installed a new system in our home. They did a great job and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a replacement system. They were quick, friendly and professional. The cost was reasonable and we were very happy with the end result.

I found a puddle of water around my HVAC last night and was very worried. I called them at 7 am hoping to only leave a voice message. Loui answered the phone and He was professional, and compassionate, listening to my tale of woe. He explained to me what I could do to fix, that he believed to be a simple thing and would not be fair to me to have him over. I appreciate his help this morning. And Preferred Air will be my go company for any future issues.

A/C broke down, during heat wave. They came on a Monday and fixed it in a jiffy. Thanks. Price seemed reasonable, about $90 to come out and look and $200 for the part.

In the past 6 months I hired Preferred Air for two separate jobs. The first one was replacing a heating system in my mom's Townhouse in Salisbury, MA. They did a great job of installing an 80% system in tight quarters and my Mom was really happy with the process especially since they cleaned up everything which included an old outside pump that was an eyesore.

Then a few months ago during a real bad cold snap I had an issue with my heating system at my house in Stoneham so I didn't hesitant to call them. As it turns out their Tech fixed the initial issue but a secondary one developed a few months later so I contacted them to report the problem which I stated wasn't an emergency. I received a phone call from Tom within a few hours and then we set up an appointment the next day.

He showed up with one of his top Tech's and within a few hours the issue was resolved and the best part was not only did they fix the issue but they educated me on my system. I inherited this system when I bought the place so I never invested much time in understanding it so I learned more in a few hours about maintaining it from Tom and Rob than any manual or online tutorial which is what really impressed me. Preferred Air also demonstrated that they stand behind their work which is what a home owner really wants when they make that final decision on hiring a contractor.

What a disappointment with Preferred Air after not having heat for a week a technician came out after my husband called and charged $150 for less than a 1/2 hour to diagnose that our new heating system on a house we just closed on would best require a whole new unit! Technician basically said it would cost more to replace heat exchanger then to attempt to fix we were told that someone would call with a quote for repairs vs replacement of new system.

Never heard back. After a long cold weekend with no heat my husband called back Preferred Air again and was told someone would call us back with quotes. Still waiting 1 month later no call back. It seems that when we questioned why the unit could not be cleaned and parts replaced that both the technician and company want the solution that best benefits them and that is replacing and putting a whole new system.

These guys were awesome! I had Rob who came out for my yearly maintenance on my furnace before the cold weather sets in. He was professional and explained things well. He was on time too! They were about $100 less the other people I got quotes from and it included a new filter! So pleased.

Preferred Air of Topsfield MA just recently finished the install of our new two stage gas furnace with a high efficiency filter system. Our old system was a 100k btu system almost 35 years old and was decaying rapidly and new one installed in our Gloucester condo. It is a 60k btu system that is 97% efficient. Already had a quote due to issues 3. weeks prior to the failure of our old one and emailed an approval to install to PA on a Sunday evening. Received phone call on morning.concluded contract and new furnace was installed complete on a Thursday in early December.

Four techs showed and just worked their magic in a very neat and professional manner. Impressed and very satisfied with all levels of the entire process from price, quality, service and capability. I would highly recommend this team of folks from Preferred Air for any services required of an HVAC company.from the owner to the phone contact to the installers and techs.all activities were just great. We now have a cleaner, safer and more efficient heating system thanks to Preferred Air.

I recently had a failure of my central air conditioner. I called Preferred Air because my previous vendor was no more. I explained that for me, A/C in a serious health issue. They responded quickly and attempted a fix of the system which failed. the then gave me a set of options for replacing the defective part, the defective unit or the both the compressor and condenser/air handler.

I elected to go with the all new equipment option. they got the system installed promptly and all of the work was done in a "neat and workmanlike manner " The got me back on line before the weather became a health concern. Overall I think that the price was a little high but the work was more than satisfactory and I am a very fussy customer. If you have time to shop around you might fond a better price but I doubt you will get a better job. In addition their technical competence, every one I dealt with from the techs on site to the office people was polite and professional.

Preferred Air has done countless jobs for me. Installations, maintenance, repairs, you name it. There is a reason you continue going back to a company time and time again, quality, service and knowledge, each and every time the folks at Preferred Air have exhibited all three. A number of years ago, I had two Heat Pumps changed in my townhouse, one of them right before Memorial Day weekend.

The two guys started the installation, but all of sudden left and were gone for two hours. I truly wondered where they had gone, and a little concerned, until they came back with custom fabricated duct-work. They don't use run of the mill stuff from Home Depot, they have a Machine Shop so that all jobs are custom. In addition, that job was done, and the system up and running before the long weekend so that we had the air conditioning we needed. As an added touch, every time they have come to my residence, they make sure to put on booties to cover their shoes.

Brian just left (there are 4 at PA!) and he is a Godsend! He analyzed our systems problem and right away fixed some issues. We have a Bryant HVAC 11 old system. Preferred Air only charged us $89.95 for the work done and analysis. He also had to make several calls to clear the work with my working husband and myself, all of which he did with great patience and professionalism.

He was easy to talk with and showed me respect and explained all the parts of the system that he was working on as well as what needed further work. He was able to price out the work in a professional and logical manner and left us with a come back date to complete the work after the parts arrive from 3 places all in 48 hours. We even discussed pricing of the shipping fees to get the parts. It was all reasonable. I would refer this company to my best friend and family anytime!

Great technicians that really know their stuff. They have kept our 25+ year old forced hot air furnace running. They are very prompt for the scheduled visits and even called the day before to confirm. Glad to have this company to keep the heat on during the winter. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was their cost but I honestly have no sense of how they compare to other companies. The money I do pay them feels like money well spent for sure!
