In this world where everything is delayed, Palmer Electric came rather quickly and gave us a very reasonable estimate to install two new overhead lights. The electrician, Steve, was very personable, professional and efficient. He was very respectful of our property and did a thorough job cleaning up after the installation. I would definitely use them again.

One of our 220 breakers went bad. We were without any electricity for all our appliances and water pump. Called and they had a technician here that morning who was fast, efficient and very polite. Very reasonable. Ask for Vinny. Service: Installation

Called to have external outlet installed for pool closed outside circuit. Electrician placed outlet on wrong circuit, ran through the interior of house, causing small electric fire (smoked out the plug). I called their emergency service. Palmer electrician came out and verified improper install (also asked for a switch to turn outlet on and off, not even attempted), promised to remedy and not charge for emergency service, but owner stepped in and stopped it; was extremely rude and unprofessional to deal with, said he was doing me a "favor" with the original quote being too low to start out and to get it fixed it would cost much more money (what he was calling the real quote). I would never recommend to anyone.

Called for emergency services on a Friday. They couldn't come until Saturday afternoon. The guy came and said he needed a 14' ladder and he was by himself. He would have to come back maybe Tuesday. He said he was the only one working today. Charged me $162 for nothing. So far for the emergency service! Ridiculous. Don't advertise if you can't handle the business. I called another company he couldn't believe when I told him that. Don't use this company!

This companies ability to ESTIMATE is poor, at best. My job was estimated by C.E.O. N. Richard Palmer, Jr, aka Rick Palmer a master electrician, but was completely changed by an inspector increasing my cost by 30%! An employee actually did the work and simply did what the inspector told him he 'preferred', the changes were announced after the inspector left and at a time when my service was cut off leaving me no choice other than go without electricity or wait until Palmer Electric could challenge this inspectors findings.

Based on our experience with Palmer Electric I would not recommend them to potential customers as we were extremely disappointed. I regret having hired them to do some electrical work in our home because their work lead to three new problems. Specifically they relocated my garage door opener panel on top of and over the new conduit they put in, which caused the opener to not function properly.

They also put in a new foyer outlet and never tested the ground wire to be certain the circuit was functioning (my new trusted electrician thankfully found this serious error). And lastly, when locating the wire in the basement for the new foyer outlet, they drilled too far into the wall and put a hole in the molding in my powder room that backs up to the foyer. Rick Palmer, company owner, was angry and defensive and unwilling to try to rectify the situation.
