Walter Danley Electric Contractor

I was referred to Danley Electric for the installation of my Generac generator through Costco. According to Danley's sales person, Danley is responsible for all Costco generator installations in New Jersey. There were a number of issues related to the installation that caused me great concern: 1. It was installed without a significant feature: the Wi-Fi chip (to enable monitoring) was missing.

Although Danley Electric told me they couldn't know this prior to installation, I called Generac who told me that when a generator is shipped without the chip, there is a sticker to that effect on the box. I would not have had the generator installed at that time if I had known this. 2. When I asked for some type of compensation for the above problem, Danley Electric offered free installation whenever the chip arrived(!) Ridiculous! 3.

The installers insisted the generator could not be installed in the exact location that had been approved by my HOA Committee. It is located further from the wall of my home than originally planned. This became a problem that had to be dealt with. 4. When my installation was inspected by the township, it failed. I don't think this is unusual, but when Danley Electric sent a technician to make the fix, he neglected to turn the generator back on, so that it was out of commission for a period of time.

When Danley Electric contacted me to let me know of this problem, they asked me to go out to the generator to turn it on myself. The cover was unlocked and the keyhole covers were standing open. One of these has never worked properly since. 5. New Jersey State Law (13:45A - 16.2) mandates that "final inspections for building, electric, plumbing, fire protection and elevators must be completed before final payment is made to contractor".

In spite of this, Danley Electric charged me for the full payment prior to the final inspection (I was unaware of this law until the town inspector informed me that I should not have paid until his inspection had been done.) Obviously, Danley Electric should have been aware of this law. 6. When I questioned Danley Electric about the above, the response was that it was on me to refuse to pay until after the inspection. Of course, they shouldn't have even asked me for payment prior to the final inspection. Eventually, I received an apology for this.

We did not actually have to wait for this company to send an electrician. They were so helpful over the phone that we were able to correct the problem ourselves. Jackie (hope I have the spelling right) is friendly and helpful and called us back to follow up that the problem had been solved. Based upon this excellent interaction, we will call them in future if we have any serious electrical issues.

To begin, we highly recommended Danley to install a house generator and we are very pleased with every aspect of their procedures and work. The office staff with whom we had contact, Mr. Scuitti, Mr. Borghese, and Tina, always provided us with information and responded immediately to our questions. Their efforts increased our confidence in contracting with Danley.

On the day of the installation, two crews arrived, the electrical and the plumbing for the gas. Both were exceptional. The technicians explained where everything was going to be placed, a concern for us because we have an older home and they had to run the lines from the front to the rear of the basement. Everything is perfectly installed and hidden in the rafters.

The drilling through the foundation and the brick veneer was also done with great care. In addition to being very skilled technicians, proud of their work, the crews were very respectful and pleasant to us and interacted so well with each other that it was evident that they enjoyed their work. It was nice to see the next generation being apprenticed on the job.

Thank you to Mike's crew from Danley and the crew from Yuhas Plumbing. After passing town inspection, which Danley arranged for within 2 days of the install, we immediately had our generator instruction visit from another Danley crew and they made us feel comfortable with the working of the unit. During the power outage caused by Tropical Storm Isaias my generator's battery died. I called Danley and got the manager Tina. Tina was absolutely amazing she empathized with me and gave me outstanding customer service. She was very professional and went above and beyond to make sure that a service tech came to my rescue as soon as possible. Matt, who was also very nice and professional came out and changed my battery and gave me valuable information on maintenance. The team at Danley is amazing and a life saver. I highly recommend them. Danley installed a whole house generator for us. They did an amazing job! It passed all inspections and the quality of work was outstanding! We have had Danley do work for us on multiple projects since we bought our 32 year old neglected house over a year ago. They installed our whole house generator 9 months ago and they were efficient, professional, respectful and neat. They did everything like clockwork, including covering my expensive rugs that I keep layed out in the garage. They even put back grass around the generator so that it looked like it had always been there.

If a generator can be beautiful, then ours is beautiful. We've already had power outages from storms and I can't even express the comfort and security of knowing that we have a generator (and company) we can count on. The other projects Danley has come out for has included reinstalling an improperly mounted bathroom vanity light, removing and installing a new ceiling fan light, installing and expanding outlets, installing a sub-panel and a few outlets for our pond reconstruction (they were awesome!), and then coming up with creative solutions to our driveway lights which have a light switch that was totally impractical due to logistics. I can totally recommend these guys for anything that comes their way! Don't hesitate. W. Danley are the ones to call.

I recently had a generator installed by Danley through the Costco program. From beginning to end, this has been such a smooth process, and Walter and the whole team are extremely professional, courteous, and kind. Our salesman, John, explained the whole process and calmed my nerves about the need to run the electric across the basement (he was totally right - in the end everything is tucked properly behind the basement ceiling and I can't even tell they did anything.) The staff in the office are always available to answer questions and they confirm appointments ahead of time, the crew who installed the generator was very professional and took the time to answer all my questions, and Red, the service manager, got us all set up and gave us a thorough tutorial.

Nobody ever rushed me through all my questions, and even when I was dealing with some delays due to problems with my yard, Walter was able to accommodate. I very highly recommend Danley for a generator. This is a big purchase and it's comforting to know it was handled and will continue to be serviced by such a great team.
