Rock Solid Builders believes that the value of installing low-maintenance cap composite and PVC decking far surpasses lower quality pressure treated lumber or cedar. We have spent years researching all of the different composite, cap composite and PVC decking on the market and feel Trex and TimberTech provide the most expansive product lines as well as the best long-term value.
Rock Solid Builders, Inc. understands that investing in a home improvement project is an important decision and choosing a contractor is the most integral part of the process. We strive to meet and continue to exceed our customers' expectations by walking them through the entire construction project from start to finish.
RSB will discuss your project over the phone, answer any initial questions, and then schedule an appointment either over the phone or at your home to gather all needed information to provide a proposal. RSB will arrive at the scheduled appointment time to discuss the project, take measurements and gather all needed information to complete an estimate for the homeowners.

We absolutely made the right choice hiring Rock Solid Builders. Josh was amazing. Due to COVID, after the first day Josh ended up working most days alone. He was incredible. They ripped out our old wooden deck and built a beautiful TREX deck. Every corner is mitered to look perfect. This is an outstanding outdoor feature of our home, we love it and would, without hesitation recommend them to anyone who's looking to enhance their home with a fantastic deck. Utmost Professionalism, workmanship and customer service. Thank you Rock Solid!

Rock Solid Builders is the best contractor I have ever hired. Their craftsmanship is remarkable, but even more remarkable is their commitment to customer service and ensuring the customer is taken care of and satisfied. They blew away my expectations of a contractor and have set the bar extremely high. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a beautiful deck to be built.

Overall a great experience working with Rock Solid Builders as they demo'd two old wooden decks and constructed a new TREX deck for my mom. Scheduling with RSB was a bit difficult as their work is heavily affected by Chicago's weather. If a homeowner is ready to have a deck built - I suggest start scheduling with RSB 8 to 10 months ahead of an expected completion date.
The site team took a good 2 - 3 weeks to finish off the deck and there were several issues that occurred during the build. All of the issues were eventually resolved, but I am a firm believer in that they could have been avoided if the right choices were made before a task was started. As a homeowner - it's good to be engaged and involved and question things that don't look right.
Do not expect others (site team, village inspectors, etc.) to catch mistakes or question installations. I appreciate the time RSB took in building my mom's deck and she's happy and thrilled over the new deck. I do recommend RSB as a deck builder, but be prepared to double check their work for them.

Rock Solid Builders did a great job. They installed a new residential deck. Communication was great, their price was fair and their staff was experienced and skilled. They worked on the deck every work day until the job was complete. "Integrity" is a word that comes to mind when I think about Rock Solid and how they handled my deck project.

Rock Solid Builders (RSB) exceeded my expectation. I own 6 rental properties and a small hotel. I have had numerous dealings with contractors over the years. Some of those contractors were good and some not so good. But RSB is in a league of their own. Dealing with them was straight forward. They never tried to upcharge us or to come back to us during the build and say we found something we didn't expect and now we have to charge you more.
Everyone from the owners to the workers were friendly and professional. We booked our project in the fall with a start date of February 1st the following year. Having dealt with contractors in the past and knowing that they were building in the winter we never thought they would actually start on the start date they gave us. But they did! That in itself was amazing.
In addition they were on time each and every day of the 3 plus week project. I am retired so I was able to watch them work. The quality of their work was first rate. They corrected numerous short comings to our existing framework. I am sure that other contractors would have installed the decking without correcting the short comings. The finished project looks great and is built to last. I could go on and on about what great work they did and how highly I think of RSB. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to have a deck built. Thank you RSB.
