Since 1983, our staff has built custom homes and provided repair services for Madison-Area Homeowners. FIX'M Home Repairs, LLC was started in 1990 as a warranty division of Loren Imhoff Homebuilder, Inc. Its services were limited to addressing small maintenance tasks for new homeowners. The word quickly spread that there was a reliable home repair service in the Madison/Dane County area and what started as an adjunctive service to existing clients, has turned into a staff of highly skilled and fully equipped service technicians ready to arrive at your door.

Our commitment to quality means we want to ensure we are able to fully devote ourselves to all our customers without over-extending and with that in mind, we are not booking any future appointments at this time.
If you are having a home emergency and need immediate repair to stop further damage, we recommend calling one of the 24/7 home restoration services in the area to stop the root cause of your issue and take care of mold/mildew clean-up, fire damage, on-going animal infiltration, or active water leaks.
If your name differs from the name on the invoice or the amount paid is different than the invoice amount, please add a note or comment to ensure proper processing. Please note, we only accept credit card payments on invoices less than $1,000*. Please be aware there is an additional 3% convenience fee for invoices greater than $1,000.

I have been delighted for years with the services I have received from this company. I have an older home that needs attention on a semi-regular basis for things small or not so small, and it has been a very good experience. I have gotten things fixed because the individuals who have come here have understood older construction and what might be behind the walls causing trouble.
They know the era of the construction and the associated possible problems. I have also received advice on things noticed to be needing attention in the future if I choose to address those problems, but there has been no hard-sell approach to their observations. They have been my first choice for repairs and fixes. Ellen S.

I thought they did an excellent job fixing the siding of our garage door after we backed the car into it. They were on time and reasonably priced. I have other jobs for them to do this Spring and quickly got on their schedule. Linda's background is valuable and when they can't do a particular job they refer you to good people. I am so glad I found them as they have made my life much less complicated. Thank you!

If I could give no stars I would BUT, I had no other option. The receptionist was a difficult beating-around-the-bus person. Her entire attitude made me hang up on her. If you advertise yourself as a handyman company, and someone actually referred me to them, then you should do as you say. Don't be concerned with what I am able to afford for a simple project. I would never have called them without that referral. After googling, I usually contact companies who have written reviews anout them. This company apparently sucks.

I have used them for over fifteen years. I consider the day I met Mike from fix'm to be life improving day. They are honest. Linda will grill you about what you want to do because she wants you to get value for your money. If they can't do it they will refer you to someone who can. Over the past five years I have used them at my auto repair shop and my four unit apartment building. MY LIFE GOT BETTER WHEN I MET THIS COMPANY AND STAFF. They are very reasonably priced, quality work. If the job is out of their realm, they will recommend someone. I have never been let down by someone the have recommended. I went for many years without a carpenter and home repair person. THANK YOU FIX'M. YOU ARE WONDERFUL.

I'm sure these guys have a number of people working for them - all at varying degree of skill levels. Probably some better than the guy we got. From our experience though, I could have done a better job myself. Basically, our guy showed up on time (yeah! good start) but was very unhappy and quite dirty for the start of the day. We asked him to trim up a small bathroom as we just got new floors and wanted to replace the trim.
The guy took forever, got dirty handprints all over the place and did quite an average job with the trim. Holes weren't plugged up and areas near doors and tight corners were done with shortcuts. To the company's credit - we did complain about our experience and they did give us a discount on the bill. I'm sure they have other areas that they excel in as well. but if you need trim work done, I'd probably look somewhere else.
