We purchased a spa, paid cash, and now cannot get the courtesy of a response from cal spas concerning the delivery of this product. So far I give them a zero I hope I can upgrade this score soon

This has been a horrible experience. My husband had to take two days off work because they were supposed to deliver the spa, and still no spa. The first time they were supposed to deliver the spa, they called in the morning saying they couldn't make it. The second time they didn't even bother to call. That is after Kelly said she guaranteed the spa would be delivered the second time.

They were lying because they couldn't make the deliveries as well. Since the driver said he did not even have us on his schedule, the office had a completely different excuse. I would give them a negative if I could.

If I could leave less than a star, I would. They delivered the wrong spa, wrong cover lift, and the wrong color cover. Adding to that, they want to charge me $650 to swap out the incorrect one that they delivered with the one I actually ordered. Thousands of dollars later and customer service couldn't care less.

My experience at the LA fair wasn't so good, but it started out better, I'm not too sure if I should trust this co based on the above. I'll be happy to inquire with all customers who purchased a swim spa @ the la fair. Please have your verified buyers report there experience with yelp

Horrible product. The Cal Spa we purchased in 2020 has cracks all over the acrylic shell. One repair was attempted under warranty and it failed within a month and the cracking continues all over the shell. The repair technician said Cal Spas is one of the worst produced spa brands out there. STAY AWAY. Best (worst) part is they wont provide a replacement without additional $$$ or refund the purchase price even though their product is defective and unusable.

Do yourself a favor if your in the market for a new spa and look at the warranty length of the spa you have in mind. You can glean a lot of information on the quality build of a spa based on this(didn't know this before my purchase) Cal Spa has a 2 YEAR warranty against shell cracking and other companies have lifetime. Not even a comparison in quality. Save the headache and financial loss and look elsewhere. I will update my review with any future correspondence with the company.

My hot tub was delivered 11/19. Since then I am currently on my 5th service call. This hot tub has had issues from the day it was delivered. First service call was a week after delivery. I have had issues with the jets spraying water everywhere, the #2 pump over heating and burning out, fuses burning out, the LCD touch seen cracked (No, I didn't step on it) and now my foot well light leaking which in turn drained my tub. I have the EC-751L model, paid cash for it and will NEVER recommend nor buy a cal spa hot tub ever again! What a depressing purchase!

Critical: Communication, Professionalism Looking for tech support to help with questions on supplying power to a new spa, two weeks of inquiries and no phone call returned. When I called back now that one person is on vacation and no one else can answer the question, thought this was a professional company. I was obviously wrong

I contacted their tech support today for some help with my 2 year old spa. The tech support rep was not helpful. Most answers were very short, "yes" and "No". "No warranty coverage". Then she sent me a link for a service company. I felt like I was bothering her during the Wendy Williams show or something. Totally rude, unprofessional and made me decide never to buy one of their products in the future based on this experience.

We recently noticed the hot tub wasn't holding water but loosing it a couple of inches every couple of weeks. I call the Plymouth location, to book a service person. Our hot tub is in Pequot Lakes, MN so I knew it might be a couple of weeks to get to us. Turns out Server person was in our area up north, stopped by, fixed the broken valve and Wow done! All within an hour. Unbelievable service - thank you so very much!

Ordered an Escape series spa. It was 6 weeks past stated delivery But I was told of that possibility at purchase. Pros lovely deep seats jets are powerful nice lighting the guys that delivered spa were great But cons.the digital control panel is in the center right where the step in is located being touch controlled makes it difficult to turn on, doubly hard with wet hands the manual font is tiny and ink is light the stairs, though standard size, need to be taller for those of us shorter and no longer nimble, maybe make a add on step?

I chose to include salt generator as my skin is uber sensitive and I've had one previously. But I'm having a difficult time establishing system. The manual is not clear on exactly how to get it going, how much?how long?how to? Oddly the pool store knew less than me about salt. So I went to Secard pools where I bought it and spoke to counter women who again didn't know.

She was totally flustered when I asked for 6 lbs on NABR.It would be wonderful customer service to include a set up person for this not cheap system. Over all I am pleased and hopeful.

Extremely unhappy with local supplier and cal spa! Order SwimSpa back in August 2020, was told 4 months well here we are April 19th 2021! Still no SwimSpa and local dealer has no answers, and I have made several calls to Cal Spa and yes I been given ship dates and they go and 1 month later another expected ship date and yes not no one picks up phone, the recording states to email your questions Well no reply as well!

I have figured the employees have left the state and not enough workers to get product out! And local dealer just keeps selling the product! Time for attorney general to make his announcement to Cal spa

Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service! They set me up as a dealer back in May of last year for the American Spas Line. We were sent all the necessary paperwork to setup the account including price lists, photos, specs on each spa, etc. We finally got all the spas added to our website and sold our first spa. We sent the order in, and I NEVER HEARD FROM ANYONE.

I called and called and called, and finally some girl answered the phone after 1 week of calling and transferred me to someone named Bernie (Bernard). He told me he was on the Cal Spas side of the company, but he would be happy to help me with the American Spa I sold since it is from the same company. After 2 more weeks of going back and forth trying to get the spa made (he told me it would be done in 5 weeks), I was told the pacific blue color for the fiberglass coloring on the spa I ordered was out of stock and that he could use a slightly different blue but on the same spa I ordered.which my customer was totally fine with.

He told me to re-send the order in and that they would get going on the spa and he would put a rush on it. It has now been 6 weeks, and he said he "dropped" the ball and it is his fault, and that they now can't find ANY of my paperwork that I sent in when I set up the account, and that they now cant make the spa because they dont have any of it. WOW, Marabelle set up my account in May of 2019, I re-sent them all the corresponding emails between her and I and NOW THEY JUST WONT ANSWER THE PHONES, NONE OF THEM.

They won't return my emails, my phone calls, NOTHING! THESE PEOPLE HAVE A LOT TO LEARN ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE.I have a feeling this covid thing is going to put them out of business.do not buy anything from them!

Do not under any circumstance purchase a hot tub from this company until they fix their production problems. Ours was delivered in August It has never NOT leaked. I have had repair service 4 times. The leak contually appears in a different place. Our last spa repair service said "it appears that tubes were not glued. " The jets seem to put pressure.

I am incredibly disappointed. I thought we had a final fix just before Christmas and tonight when we turned the jets on.a tube came unconnected. I crawled under the deck in 2 inches of water Don't buy from Cal Spas until you know they have remedied this production problem.

Supposedly my rep ordered my swimspa in May 2020. In Nov I was told it would be here mid December. We're in February & still no Calspa Swimspa. I've called & emailed the company multiple times & get zero response from them. So fed up. Why no response? I just want my Swimspa!

I have been a spa service tech for over 15 years, and work on all brands of spas. In my professional opinion, Cal Spas is one of the best brands out there. They use the highest quality components such as Balboa controls, and don't use proprietary parts which limit availability and drive up service costs big time (Hot Springs, Jacuzzi). Their spa shells are some of the thickest and best made I have seen, and the layouts are all very roomy and comfortable. Cal Spas has moved mountains to keep making quality spas in the middle of this pandemic, and I can't give them enough credit for how well they have handled everything.

I ordered a spa in August 2020 through Home Depot. The delivery date was supposed to be November 6. Almost a month after the delivery date and nothing. I reached out to Home Depot who opened an inquiry. Home Depot has emailed Cal Spa's customer service and CC me asking what is the status of the order and the ETA of the delivery. I have also asked where these Spas are manufactured. Silence. No reply from Cal Spa. I can't imagine worse customer service than what I have received from Cal Spa.

It leaked like a sieve. The ozonator died, mice moved into the cabinet which was SO flimsy, held by staples. The filter cycle was very load, the misters smelled like a turtle pond until they died. Service was laughable.

If I could write a review with less than one star, I would. I ordered a $3500 BBQ island. Took over 2 months to deliver. And I'm local. San Diego. Wayfair said it came with a conversion LP to NG kit. It did not. I tried ordering on internet. Website is JUNK JUNK JUNK. I tried calling them for over 3 hours on a Tuesday 8/18/20. Their "remote" phone receptionists kept transferring me to a dead end phone number with no-one answering.

I finally entered an extension ---random--- and got ahold of a workman who found the head of customer support. they could not find my order. Wait. it gets worse. Then they said, oh. that one does not come with that. Then, they charged me $82 for the conversion kit AFTER I SPENT $3500 ON THE BBQ. ASS-HATS. total piece of crap.

This company and customer service is awful. I will never purchase another Cal Spa again. We purchased our spa from the fair a few months back and we have had nothing but problems with it, and good luck trying to get a hold of a live person to speak to. If you are looking for a spa. keep looking, don't waste your time of this lousy company!

I bought a Calspas spa 20 years ago and it still runs well and looks like new. I have only replaced the two pumps, 4 jets and the pillows a few times, all for about $500. It's been fantastic.

Cal Spa makes very shoddy quality hot tubs. We purchased their top of the line hot tub from an authorized distributor at a local fair. Initially we liked it but within a year needed service and started to see the true "service". We were told that since we did not buy this directly from CalSpa, we could not get service directly from them and were given the name and number of an "authorized service technician ".

This was the beginning of the end. This is where we learned that "lifetime warranty " was just a marketing ploy by CalSpa and did not mean lifetime at all. After bypassing some of the built in safety features because " they were not really needed", it seemed to work ok. But ar least once a year something major would break. We found it harder and harder to find anyone to work on it, each technician wouldbad-mouth the work of the previous one and tell us how bad Cal Spas were.

After years of this, including an unanswered letter to the president of Cal Spa outliningour experience in detail, we finally got rid of it and purchased a Jacuzzi. It's been about 4 years now with our used Jacuzzi hot tub and have had absolutely no issues. STAY AWAY FROM CAL SPA HOT TUBS

Cheaply made, very expressive to run. Replaced my 15 year old tub with a Cal spas, same size, electric bill went up $40.00 a month. That's $500.00 a year. Runs off and on all day and night. Says there's an economy setting, that's a joke. Outer shell flimsy. Very dissatisfied.stuck.

I have a 2016 CalSpa Swimspa f-1325. On a warranty call, we recently had to have the main circuit board (or something like that) replaced because it stopped functioning. The new one is NOT the same as the old one because the functionality of the buttons isn't the same. I called CalSpas and was put through to a technician. I left a voicemail about the issue and didn't hear back in a week. So, I called again and asked to leave a VM for a different tech since the first one ignored me.

Once again, I didn't get a call after a week. So, I called and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told by her, "I will make sure, myself, that the tech calls you back on Monday" (this was Thursday, BTW because she doesn't work on Fridays. Must be nice!) No call Monday, no call Tuesday, no call Wednesday. I called Wednesday afternoon and left her another VM that I hadn't received a call as promised. Now, it's after-hours on Thursday and still haven't heard back.

I heard from them nearly everyday when I was considering purchasing it. It makes me feel like, once you got my $10,000+ dollars, you were done with me. I see other posts here where a Cal Spa representative says "We take customer service issues very seriously at CalSpa". Clearly you don't! I have called FOUR TIMES and haven't even had anyone on the phone to address my concern. I LOVE soaking in my spa. HOWEVER, I wish I had purchased it from a company that cares about long-term customer service.

Bought this tub July 5th 2018 and the pump is already out! Warranty is 1 year on labor and 2 years on parts so American Spas is sending me a new pump but I have to pay $500 to get a technician to come out and put it in. We live in North Texas and only used the tub for 4 months last year and then drained it due to the weather, thought we would fill it today October 10, 2019 and that is when we found out the pump was bad.

So we called and they told us the pump was out and we would have to pay to have a new one put in. We only used this thing 30 times tops and then drained it, the pump should not have gone out that fast! Will never purchase another thing from American Spas (Cal Spas). BUYER BEWARE. VERY BAD QUALITY! Freedom 7-Person 40-Jet Bench Spa Hot Tub with 2 Backlit LED Waterfalls and Steps

I bought a spa from Cal Spas at the LA fair in 09/2017. The spa started leaking water 07/2019, so I removed a access panel to see where it was leaking from. It was still under warranty, so I called Cal Spas to have it repaired. They told me that they only use 3rd party contractors for service and the contractors charge 120.00 to come out. So I called both contractors and one never called me back after several attempts, and the other told me that it is difficult for him to get paid by cal spas and he did not really want to do the work.

I did have an issue with paying 120.00 service charge for a product under warranty so I decided to repair it myself. I called Cal Spas and told them that I did not get a contractor to come out and that I needed a replacement part to fix the issue. They apologized for the inconvenience and told me that they would ship the part. They NEVER shipped the part. Cal Spas is extremely difficult to any type on supervisor or manager on the phone and just have you leave messages.

So only get a Cal Spas product if: 1. you want a product that breaks within two years from purchase. 2. They are a company so bad that they can not keep a in house service department. 3. Expect their customers to work on the products. 4. Wait for promised parts that never arrive. I regret ever buying a Cal Spas product. I just don't want someone to buy one of their spas thinking that they make quality products that they stand behind. This has been an extremely frustrating experience.

I don't write reviews too often, but in the case of our $15,000+ Calspas hot tub I purchased in May 2019 a review is warranted. First off I like to buy American when I can and it was a big selling point for me pitched by the sales rep at Dreamstyle remodeling as in my experience American made products tend to be better.however this has not been the experience I've had with my Calspas hot tub.

In the 2.5 months that I have owned this patio ornament it has been unusable (or partly usable if you don't mind flooding your patio and filling it up daily.a high water bill will follow at the end of the month as well.) We have had 3 different significant leaks at different times (I swear its like Wack-a-mole), a broken diverter valve, and speakers that stop working that have been repaired/replaced also 3 different times in this short period of time. Concerning our most recent leak the a repair tech was sent out by Dreamstyle a full week after reporting the leak and found that he was unable to fix it, had to order new parts, and will have to completely drain the tub and either lifting it or flipping it on its side.here comes that water bill again.

In fact, the tech's actual suggestion was to see if we could return it and swap it out for a new one. Additionally, due to the hot weather and near constant leaks the inside cabinet is starting to get slimy and gross. So once again, my family is going through another week and weekend unable to use our hot tub, paying a ridiculously high amount for a water bill, having to get new chemicals, and paying a car-payment size hot tub bill for what's amounted to little more than an overpriced decoration.

Bottom Line: If you want a near constant headache, pay a huge sum of money for a low quality product, and have your utilities sky rocket buy a Calspas hot tub. If the previous suggestion sounds unpleasant (trust me it is) then buy another brand.

I was given a CalSpa by a friend and managed to get it to our home with the help of a bunch of friends from our church. An "electrician" had already installed the 220v line and GFCI circuit breaker spa-pack, ready for hookup to our spa. Darn thing wouldn't work. He had me start throwing parts at it; he told me it was the transformer, then it was the circuit board, then it was the "bridge" (it's actually called a terminal strip). I'm surprised he didnt say it was the Flux Capacitor or the Hyper-Conductor Coolant Tube!

I finally got fed up and contacted Armando Olmos at CalSpa Tech Support. Great guy! He asked me to take several good pics of the GFCI's internal wiring to see how it had been hooked up. Yep, my "electrician" had wired it completely wrong! Lucky our house didnt burn down! I followed Armando's detailed instructions and within 15 mins I had a working hottub! Yay! I had saved the Spa-Pack instructions and even they clearly diagrammed how the wiring was supposed to go. Oy Caramba! Cal-Spas and Armando are aces in my book. ACES!
