I had Cinder Box install a new fireplace, repair the chimney crown and put a new chimney cap on. They did great work and were very nice and professional. I am pleased with the work and can highly recommend their services.

Our gas fireplace flame was intermittently shutting off on its own. Travis inspected, serviced and cleaned it and it is working great again now. He was very personable, informative, professional and knowledgable. He explained everything as he was doing it. He warned that there may be a faulty part causing the problem but we wanted to wait and not replace it to see if the servicing cleared up the issue, which was the case. Kudos to his esthetics as well. He made the fireplace look so beautiful. He even acknowledged our dogs, which they loved. Thank you. Travis came to our home to inspect our gas fireplace. He was very professional, introduced himself right away, had on a mask and shoe covers, and walked me through everything he was doing as he did it. He walked me through the different parts of our fireplace and his suggestions for best use. He listened really well to my questions and concerns, and gave me peace of mind.

I feel much more comfortable with our fireplace in that I understand better the mechanics of how it works, how best to use it, and what to watch out for because of his explanations. We purchased a remote for the fireplace and he instructed me on how to use it as well as our wall switch. If we need our fireplace serviced again in the future, we will be requesting him by name! Mike was fantastic, very professional and knowledgeable. We had so many questions because we hadn't had the chimney cleaned since my husband had the install completed 9 years ago. We also want to switch to vent-free logs now that we know more about them. Mike was no pressure and so helpful. In addition, we suspected we had a minor gas leak and the equipment confirmed it.

Our chimneys look great again and our plumber is due out to fix the valve leak in the one with the valve issue so we can use them both without worry again and with out blowing soot!

We had Travis out to our house the other day to inspect our gas fireplace. We are new owners, the house and fireplace are 30 years old, and our home inspector did not check out the fireplace due to a decorative wrought iron grate zip-tied to the fireplace box. We knew we'd need a new log set; Travis did a complete inspection, gave us a quick explanation of the condition of our setup in plain language, then helped us choose replacement parts from several options.

We used CinderBox to convert our gas-burning fireplace to a wood-burning fireplace with a cast-iron log lighter. Our technician, Travis, was very friendly, extremely professional, and thorough in his work. He did a great job of explaining the differences in maintaining a wood-burning fireplace verses gas. A very helpful person answered the phone and I was scheduled in a decent amount of time- much sooner than expected honestly given that it's fall. When I first called in Fall 2020, there was a three-month wait for an initial consultation due to how busy the company is. CinderBox is busy for all the right reasons. Their product and service are top-notch. Don't be deterred by a possible wait. It is worth it!

Cinder Box did a wonderful job installing our Pacific Energy FP30 wood burning fireplace. His crew was professional, courteous and drug free. I state this fact of being drug free because we an owner of a different company and his assistant come give me an estimate for the fireplace and it was obvious they were both high. Last thing a home owner needs is workers high on drugs doing a serious and dangerous job of installing a wood burning fireplace and climbing on your roof. Great customer service. Mike has come out several times to our house to ensure our new vented fireplace is operating efficiently and safely. He never complains about having to come back out and is helpful in resolving the issues we have had with the fireplace.

I had Cinderbox out to my home yesterday and it was a great experience. I received 2 confirming emails the day before and the day of. Apt was set for 10am, the crew arrived at 9:55am. Dressed in uniforms and very polite. The lead explained his background and certifications and the helper expressed how much he enjoyed working there. Seth was my technician and explained everything he was doing, checking, and would check outside before they were done.

I was grateful that I only needed an inspection and that my fireplace is good to burn in this winter. After leaving I received a detailed invoice that included pictures and more details. From my initial call with Kathleen all the way through my appointment Cinder Box was on their game and exceeded my expectations. I look forward to building our first fire of the season soon.

Can't say enough good things about this company. The first week we moved into our home we noticed wet carpet in our bedroom from rain. Upon having a few people look at it everyone determined it was the chimney. We had one Mason company come out and quoted us for a full rebuild. We decided to get a second opinion from cinderbox even though they do charge just to come out to look at it.

We did this because several neighbors told us how great this company was and their reputation seemed to be stellar in the Zionsville community. Mike came out and was so kind and professional on his first visit. He told us we didn't need a rebuild and gave us several options to do work ourselves or have them do it. He took his time and answered all our questions.

We opted to have them do it along with a fireplace inspection and sweep. They just came out did the work and educated us about the fireplace in our home. We learned a lot and feel like we know how to safely use the fireplace now. He didn't try to up-sell us at all and even told us the chimney was very clean so we didn't need to pay for a sweep. Five stars for an honest, reputable, and thorough company. Will use them again any time we have a chimney or fireplace issue.

Excellent chimney cleaning experience. The process took maybe 45 minutes from start to finish and the employee kept everything quite clean. He answered all of our questions and was extremely friendly, professional. Yelp deal made the cleaning really affordable too. and when called in to schedule the appt, the receptionist didn't bat an eye about me using it. Saved $60 without any hassle. If you've not had your chimney cleaned in a while, do it now so you can (safely) get all blazey in your fireplace this winter.

Horrible experience with this company, and almost lost the sale of our house due to some invalid comments made by the company on a routine chimney sweep. 4 chimney masons were called out for opinons after and confirmed this company was out of line with some of the comments made. I would strongly consider another company for your fireplace needs. Do not use this company prior to selling your home. Buyer beware.

Great company! Tim Rusnak is excellent and a very nice person to deal with. I called them on a Saturday and he came out in about half an hour and fixed our fireplace immediately. I can highly recommend them.
