Do not expect to get any kind of service here. We sent 2 items to get repaired as we were going to sell them after they were tuned up. After no calls and 2 years later, we remembered that they were there. The place is a disaster, with absolutely NO organization. Parts and machines and paperwork all over the place. No computer system so paper tags are illegible or fallen off of machines left outside. The son of the owner was very rude to top it off. Do not take anything here!

Let me begin with DO NOT COME HERE! The man that was there had our mower and snowblower here for two years and they never touched them. And we were never called to get them. We went back a week ago to pick them up because we were so fed up. and he told us they possibly scrapped them and had no idea where they were. UNBELIEVABLE!

I took my chainsaw there 11 months ago. I asked to get it running correctly. They ordered and replaced bar and chain. I can't believe that it took 11 months. That was me calling them every month. When I went to pick it up the safety shield was snapped in half. I asked how it ran. Owner said he never started it. I just don't know how they stay in business. I will never go back and would not recommend them to anyone.

I agree with the others and the terrible lack of respect for customers property. I was also told to bring my snowblower down before mowing season to have a tune up and pull cord replacement. Younger gentlemen also stated that the gear box should be looked at because it was closing in on years. He took my info and away I went, 1 month, 2 months, 3 months went by.
I called and spoke to the older gentlemen he stated we don't have a snowblower here just mowers, didn't try and look or see about it just said it isn't here and hung up. I waited a few more days and then went back to the shop and there I found my snowblower sitting outside and never touched. I hope it starts because now it looks like a 15 year old machine and not an 8 year old machine because I keep it inside. Place is terrible and the service I'm sure is just as bad. Don't go to Perkins power equipment in Exeter. They suck.

Had the same experience as Julie. I too will tell everyone how terribly we were treated. I honestly do not understand how this company stays in business if they truly don't care about their customers. My husband called, was told to drop lawnmower off for diagnostics. Called for several days in a row to obtain info. No call back. Finally, frustrated my husband returned to the business and found his mower sitting outside.
Left in the rain. We always garaged it. The owner didn't care and told him so in so many words. No diagnostics, no estimate, no repair. No concern or effort to make amends. Never have I ever seen as business run this way. I feel sorry for anyone that doesn't know and that is why I felt compelled to write this review.

We had an awful experience. I am not usually negative, but it has truly been one of the most frustrating experiences working with this company. My husband dropped his lawn mower off right before winter time as it was broken and needed an assessment. Perkins never called him back to follow up, even after multiple attempts for us to hear back. When my husband showed up recently to ask about it, they said they didn't know where the lawn mower was.
My husband went and FOUND it, most likely left outside in the elements all winter long. Perkins assured my husband that the repair guy who comes on Tuesday would check it over and they'd get back to him. No one got back to him (shocker) and when my husband called they said they didn't get to it- no apologies. They told my husband again they would call and follow up, and still, no phone call. Absolute worst customer service and business we've ever dealt with. We will no longer be using Perkins and telling everyone we know to stay AWAY.

Excellent service! This is the only place around that carries the belt I need for my snowblower. I called ahead and mentioned that I really needed the belt before the impending blizzard the next day but couldn't get there by 5. He said just stop by the house when you get here and I'll have it ready. I'd give 6 stars to these guys if I could.

Great experience, John and his son Keith know there machines. This week I purchased a Hustler Raptor Limited. I work close to their shop so in the morning I stopped by to inquire. After speaking with John Jr. I knew at that moment I was going to purchase the Raptor. I went back to my office and applied for financing. I went back by after work to purchase the machine.
I thought for sure it would be delivered in days. Not the case, by the time I was pulling out of the driveway John Jr was pulling the machine around back and loading onto a truck. Within 2 hours Keith delivered to mower to my house and I was mowing my lawn. High recommend Perkins. I've been spreading the word. Great guys very knowledgeable. Forget the big box, go to Perkins.
