Overcharged, rude staff in office, stay away. If you don't believe the reviews then find out for yourself and waste your money. I've come to the conclusion anyone writing good reviews is related to the company. There is no way people pay these prices unless they just do not know better. Call around and get quotes, you will pay 1/4 of their price, plus you don't have to deal with the attitudes.

If you want to pay $900 for a pool opening or closing then they are your company. Their 1/2 hr. pool service will cost you more than the hourly rate of a seasoned trial attorney! The standard pool opening or closing rate in the market is $250-$350 and plenty of other companies offering superb service without overcharging and surprise bills. The only star they get is because of the hardworking pool guy who serviced my pool each week.
Very friendly & informative. Otherwise the office staff are rude and overcharge for basic services. For pool service recommendations plus other services its best to ask your local moms group online. Thousands of moms in Boston's surrounding towns manage the homes so we share online who we recommend and of course any bad experiences. Services such as Angie's list & thumbtack have also been helpful for providing quotes upfront from quality companies. Just stay away unless you prefer to be overcharged.

Pureaqua Pool Service has done an amazing job with our gunite pool! Justin and his team not only did an amazing job with the installation of the pool, but all of the plumbing and equipment as well! They are incredibly responsive, and when I had a motor fail on a pump within hours the motor was replaced with no issue. I do the weekly maintenance myself so I can not speak to that component of service, but from the design, quality of the equipment, and the service technicians (Geraldo, Mike and Sergio all worked on the pool systems and really know their stuff) everything was done quickly with excellent communication and follow up. Ken followed up on everything for every service appointment/install to make sure we were happy.
I have friends with pools that tell us nightmare stories about their pool companies, and all I can see is we are beyond thrilled with Justin, Ken and the whole crew! Their experience shows in everything they do, and they take pride in their work. We totally recommend Pureaqua!

I would have give them zero stars if this was possible. The employee do not know anything about pools. He suggested I should dig up my entire backyard to fix an issue ($10k), but within 30 minutes I found a youtube solution. Honestly, the biggest waste of time and a waste of a visit. I would never recommend them ever.

I hired this company to service my pool last year. I paid over $2500 for a pool cover and a new pump. The quality of work is just awful: missing pool cover anchors, leaking pipe after installing pump, etc. Their customer service is one of the worst I have seen. They practically lie to you and have no shame. They tell you something and then they do something different.
I advise everyone to stay a way from this company. I have found another company that I am actually very happy. They are very professional and their customer service is just great.

Do not hire these people for pool service. Didn't open up the pool properly in 2020. Gave them another chance in 2021 and dealing with the same issues again. Shocked the pool and initially and did not come back in time and the pool water clouded up again. Didn't fully vacuum the pool, left dirt and debris on the pool patio from their pump, left the water level slightly low, didn't clean put the main filter or set the robot vacuum. Will now be taking my business elsewhere.

Find another pool company that doesn't overcharge you. They charge $900 to close a pool & spa. All other companies charge $300-$400 for this 30 min service. Don't rely on yelp. Best to ask locals for referrals such as your local online moms group on Facebook. We share who overcharges and who not to use to all 9,000 members. Your town or area has one such as Wellesley moms group or Waltham moms group. It's our way to stay away from deceptive companies and share ones we love. Worst case use thumbtack app

I recently contacted Puraqua to inquire about closing an inground pool for the winter. It had not been opened this summer but needed some work. Spoke with Debbie on the phone - she was attentive to my explanation, addressed my concerns and questions, checked with Kerri on some things and got back to me with answers and suggestions quickly. Debbie helped me with my lack of knowledge and anxiety, was always pleasant, and remembered me when I called back with more questions.
I was very happy to find a local company who could meet my needs. Unfortunately, the project is on hold for now for family reasons, but I was so impressed with these people that I didn't want to wait to post this review.

Had my gunite pool resurfaced with pebble and new tile installed. Great price, and came out amazing. Ken's crew was so polite with please and thank yous that I have faith in society again. Took 1 week to finish. I can't say enough about how smooth and easy this project was for me. All questions and concerns where handled immediately and every day my pool area was left clean. There are no signs of work having been done except my awesome pool. Thank you all!

Ken is easy to work with, always answer phone or text, we been working on our house remodeling for a year and a half, we have a 40 years old indoor pool, 9 feet deep and I think it's a bit too danger for my little kids, they fill it to the deep that we want 4-5 feet, nice coping, tile pool deck, pebble finish for inside the pool, Ken and his crew is amazing.

Started service in mid september 2017. They scheduled service twice. They never showed up and I received a bill for $200. In addition, I scheduled to have my pool closed. Well, they never showed. Finally, on the 3rd try, got them to come in mid November, by that time I had tons of leaves in my pool. Also, they didn't shut off my water pump and it was running for 3 weeks. They are unreliable and they lie and charge for work that never was done. They def are irresponsible. Do not use them, you'll be sorry you did

Puraqua recently did a full renovation on our pool that was built in the early 70's. Ken and his team were very professional. Price was better than the competition. Ken always, sometimes within the hour, responded to all our e mails. Ken worked with our landscaping contractor along the way to ensure all details and scope of the job were met. This is my second pool renovation, having done the same at a former house I owned.
I would have to say that Puraqua is the clear leader when it comes to major pool renovations. It was a pleasure doing business with them and the pool looks absolutely fantastic! I'm not one to do ratings, but you have to give credit where credit is due. Well done.

Find another pool service. We have been having our pool serviced for over 6 years weekly by this company. Very poorly managed. One of their techs stole from us and his company always trying to sell us stolen goods. This went on for years. We gave him a chance because we saw he had addiction issues. He was often drinking and one day I looked into our driveway and he was in the Puraqua truck drinking beer and smoking something.
I asked why he was in my driveway on a non service day and he told me he was using my driveway for lunch. He went so crazy one day when I asked why the pool was green that I called my husband T work and asked if I should call the police. He's now in jail for robbery and illegal drugs. I now am with the same company different techs. I've asked 6 times for the auto water feed to be hooked up since May.
It never happened. It sits in our cabana. When there is a problem with our heater( every week) the girls that answer say I understand or we'll try. Having a huge birthday party for my daughter and no heat. When I called I got the same treatment. We'll try. And, I understand. That's not good enough. When I asked to leave a voicemail for the owner, or text, or e mail, I was told I was not allowed to contact him. The BBB will be notified. They are thieves, lost so much money nobody knows how to fix a pool let alone cover it. Trust me find another company.

Had our entire pool deck, plumbing, and pool renovated by Puraqua. Great hand-holding from start to finish. Neither a phone call nor a question went unanswered. Loved that each stage of the renovation was tackled by a different Puraqua team which concentrates in that specialty. Absolutely everyone came to and worked at our house with a happy disposition. Big thanks to Ken and his team! No, I don't work for Puraqua - i truly am an incredibly satisfied customer.

We hired Puraqua Pool to refinish our existing gunite pool. After some deliberation we decided on the pebble finish and we believe we made the correct decision. The pool looks fantastic. We had gotten a number of quotes from other companys to do the work and Puraqua was very competitively priced plus Ken was very informative and helpful in our decision.
Once the work got underway we were amazed at how efficient and professional the various crews were. From the demo crew to the plaster crew to the finish crew, everyone worked hard with virtually no down time. Lets face it, the job can get messy but they cleaned up every day and left the job site well prepped for the next phase. Ken even coordinated the delivery of the water to coincide with the completion of the plaster job.
The project came in on time and on budget and we could not be more pleased with the results. We communicated with Ken, mostly through email, and prior to the construction he made himself available and answered all our questions in a timely fashion. (I think he works 24-7) The bottom line is they are a pleasure to do business with, very efficient, hard working with excellent results. Good job!

Awful service, zero communication. This company was hired by our landlord to open our pool for the season. first we called at the end of May and they said they had nothing open till June 15 which was strange because other places we called could have came that week but we had to stick with them per the landlord's request. They came a couple times put the pump on, put some stuff in our pool and vacuumed.
They never communicated when they left when they would be back or anything that was going on with the process. Which we figure is maybe normal even though when the workers came to vacuum we asked them when they thought it would be ready and they replied "when we are done vacuuming we'll test it and let you know, ".they didn't, they just packed up and drove away. it is now July 9th and we have been calling the company for two weeks trying to figure out what the heck is going on. if we can swim in our pool. if the pump can be turned off (it's been on since the 15th) if it's ready to be chlorinated and routinely shocked.
The response we get with each call they ask if we have called to say we could see the bottom of the deep end which we did weeks ago and they have been to our house multiple times since then. Then we are told that they don't have the slip and they will call us back with the status or that they will call the workers and then call us back and each time say the same thing and act like they have no idea we called before.
Guess what. they have NEVER called us back. Fed up yesterday we went and brought a water sample to Leslie's Pool Supply where they told us exactly what we needed and what to do and after telling them this nightmare of a story they gave us their card and have answered all our questions and we have had to sort out everything on our own which is beyond ridiculous since this company is being paid.
We have contacted our landlord and luckily he has agreed to never use them again after seeing the bill for the piss poor job they did. We are also very close with our neighbors who have pools and plan to never recommend this awful company again.

My local store told me to go there to pick up parts. I showed up and the lady got upset telling me in an angry tone that no one told her I was coming. She reluctantly agreed, while mumbling that the 5 small items will take 1/2 hour to pull. During that time, I got to listen to people yelling harassing comments (e.g. Someone coming in from the rain was told they won the wet t-shirt contest which was followed by a whistle).
