There is one place and one person I would ever consider for all my countertops, fireplaces, basically anything that includes stone! Met Cabinet and Bridget O'Neil! There are no words to describe her design eye and expertise. You just tell her one small description about your space and what you are looking for and before you know it she has blown by all the expectations you had and raised it to an entirely new level.

I have been working with Met Cabinet for almost 20 years. It is not only a pleasure working with them and Bridget, it is the one area that I never have to worry about. I work for a residential real estate developer and have done 100+ kitchen and baths. Thank you Bridget & MC! 10 stars seems to be a better rating for them!

I went into the showroom overwhelmed with the selection of products Metro had. Bridget was very helpful in helping me pick out beautiful countertops for my new home. I left feeling relieved and very happy with my purchases. I would highly recommend Bridget!

Went in on 9/2, saw a consultant told him the colors I was interested in, later on sent him my dimensions to get quotes. He told me he was sending my measurements to the countertop department for pricing and would get back to me. Today is 9/10, nothing. Not going to chase a company for my business.

We have yet to have our granite dining top installed but I simply had to write this review now. After searching, and searching for weeks, Metropolitan was recommended to us by Marble & Granite Inc. (they're in the neighborhood, another great business). We walked in, asked for help and were introduced to Sarah S. (shortening last name for privacy).

We could not believe our good fortune. Sarah is not only an incredibly kind person, she is also very knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. She listened to us first, then proceeded to make suggestions that were in our best interest (in other words, not pushing us in a direction that would be profitable to them only). We are confident that the piece we picked out will arrive in the condition we expect it (if not better) and will be installed with the same care and attention we received from Sarah. Oh, if you have any technical questions, I'm sure Sarah will call in Will, another kind human being who was more concerned about making sure the piece would actually work for us than he was about making the deal. If you're looking for a place to help you with your marble, granite, bath, or kitchen remodeling, this is the place to go (and ask for Sarah S.).

If I could give 0 stars, I WOULD! Worst experience ever! Mora Veo was the consultant that assisted us. We informed her from the beginning we needed our order asap. She continuously lost information, would use her shift availably or daughter as an excuse for why she wasn't available, horrible communication skills, didn't inform us she had lost information that she now had being waiting on, extremely unreliable.

When I asked why order hadn't been placed yet she told her boss I yelled at her & then canceled our order with the ok of manager, without hearing us out. They ignored us after & took their time to refund us, I had to get my bank involved to retrieve my deposit. I was way to shocked of there lack of unprofessionalism & insensitivity. I found Mora to be super rude & inconsiderate.

A lot of other people have also complained about Mora in reviews, wish I had taken the time to read it. There are plenty of other great nearby store with more variety and better reputation.

We worked with Kathy Magee. She was completely wonderful. I dont think we could have finished our project without here. She helped design a vanity that checked all of our boxes, without sacrifice, in a tight space. From inception to delivery, on time and on budget. Will NEVER look elsewhere. These are not the cheapest cabinets you can buy- but professional organization through and through. They also have a fantastic showroom.

I visited their showroom on my way back from MSI (granite distributor showroom). My sales rep was Sarah. I sent her the dimensions and the slab name and she got back to me very quickly with the price. The price was surprisingly competitive. I was expecting it to be high since they have a decked out showroom. She was able to put us on schedule for a very fast turnaround.

She contacted her PM and scheduler, and got us on a very tight schedule. Other companies promised but didn't have a convincing confirmation on their guaranteed delivery. The quality of the work was incredible. There were 6 guys carrying five slabs of granite. They also left me with a sealer and a cleaning solutions. There was only one seam but the pattern and the seam are incredibly well matched and done.

We just had our kitchen countertop replaced by Metropolitan. We couldn't be any happier! It was a quality experience. Starting with our salesperson Bridget to the folks that laid out the template, cut the stone to those who did the installation it was a high quality job. I highly recommend these folks for your countertop needs.++

1/15/2020.i remodel my kitchen 8 months ago and I choose metropolitan cabinets in Westwood. Be aware of this place. They are very sneaky. The service is awful, special one girl at the front desk named Samantha very stupid, she is try to give projects to the designers which they don't have any and may be for a reason. When you enter the showroom the first thing they say you have a designer.

She recommend us a "designer". Anna nunes She couldn' t give us ideas almost for enything except a model kitchen in a showroom. Prices are very high and they don't tell you the truth about the countertops because they want to sell quartz for example and not so much quartzite.customer be aware

We love our cabinet. Amazing quality. Great price point. We did not enjoy our experience with the representative that we worked with. We discussed timeline and cost as our biggest priority for this very small bathroom renovation. With several gaps in communication leading to a week of delays as we went with a cabinet that was not made onsite. With no phone or email correspondence after checking in, they left us frustrated and fearing that they took our money and ran.

I am a medical professional and in my line of work I would have been fired for this type of behavior. We will be doing a major kitchen renovation in the future. We will consider working with them again in the future only because we love our cabinet in the end but with another designer.

If you want to see if Michael Che is right about Boston being the most racist city, check this place out. Called with a request to meet an expert. After a number if run arounds, visited the place and was totally ignored. An attempt to escalate the issue resulted in a call from a VP who took the front desk position without even the slightest intetest of what I had to say. Not cool.

Could be one of the worst places to buy cabinets, bar none. Took my money, delivered me the wrong cabinets. Then the dance began. Ignored my calls. Ignored emails. Said the replacements were "on the way." Then they tried to charge me extra for things that were already included (note: if you do decide to buy cabinets from them, make sure every detail is on all invoices, and I mean every detail down to the number of pieces of trim they are selling you.) Months later another delivery appears with more incorrect items.

The process took about a year and I STILL DON'T HAVE THE CORRECT PARTS! Quality is poor, doors are warping, slides do not fully close the drawers, scratches all over the finished cabinets. They make you unload the truck yourself. I've never experienced worse customer service. They tell you their custom cabinets are better than everyone else's. I beg to differ. Martha Stuart Home Depot cabinets are less expensive and BLOW AWAY the quality of Metro Cabinets.

The staff are not friendly. They all have an attitude. They shield you from talking to their 'boss.' Then when you do speak to the boss, his actual response to the customer: "good luck to you." May I recommend researching the reviews before doing business with these guys. Many many negative reviews. I'm not sure how they are still in business.

Metro has a large selection of marble, granite and quartz. We got a great quartz countertop and they gave us the best price (we got quotes from two other countertop places). We really liked the selection and their pricing (feel free to negotiate, they'll work with you!). Chris was legit, easy to work with, friendly and knows his stuff.

Had a luke warm experience and felt obliged to warn consumers about a very flawed communications policy that needs to be addressed at Metropolitan. Metropolitan informs customers at inception of their engagement model, that they work with your contractors directly and not with you. So, from the very beginning, customers are out of the communications loop with their projects. Contractors are very busy, balancing work across multiple projects and as such, don't always pay appropriate attention to details shared through email exchanges and conversations with Metropolitan.

If they miss a detail or get a major requirement about your project wrong, you as the customer, have no idea until install date (2+ months later) that an error has occurred. When confronting Metropolitan regarding the disconnect, you are frankly, screwed, and they put the blame on your contractor for not paying attention to details provided in their emails. I'm a "checks and balances" guy and would have embraced an opportunity to act as a second set of eyes on these contractor/Metropolitan communications but, as a consumer, you are not afforded this opportunity. $5,000 later.on a custom vanity for our master bath, we are forced to accept an outcome we did not desire. This policy needs to change and, if you are considering paying the premium for a custom solution, buyer beware.

We are very happy with our experience at Metropolitan Cabinets! The quality of the cabinets is fantastic. The cabinets are beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The price might be a little high but you get what you pay for! The process was fairly easy and Kathy was accommodating to our schedules. We had a very good idea of what we were looking for so there was not a ton to do in the design department but we met with Kathy a number of times to tweak the plan. Their time frame was exact, all of the cabinets were clearly labeled, and we got exactly what we wanted. We had a very good experience and would highly recommend them.

Ana Nunes was our design consultant at Metropolitan Cabinets and Countertops. She was pleasant and very knowledgeable. We brought her our ideas and she helped us put them all into place. Ana had very good suggestions and worked with us to design the perfect kitchen for us. Everything was completed on schedule and we couldn't be happier with the end result. We would highly recommend Ana Nunes and Metropolitan Cabinets for your kitchen remodel. Kathy & Carl G.

From the very beginning, meeting Bridget who helped us find the granite countertop we'd been looking for and hadn't found anything nearly as beautiful at five other place, to Chris and Ian who helped us through arranging the template, to the fabulous technician along with Will who helped us choose the arrangement of the granite on the countertop to the group of installers, led by Bruno, who came to our home- everyone was stellar!

The customer service is beyond reproach, the choice of countertops almost endless and the professionalism of every single person was outstanding. They all seemed more than happy to be working for Metropolitain Cabinets and spoke highly of the owners.

Awful service and the price is way too high. We expected a high price tag, but we've been getting estimates from other high end custom kitchen cabinet places in New England and Metropolitan came at almost twice the cost of others. The service was really bad too. We came with plans, looking for an estimate. Asked our "designer" if we should make any changes to the plans, she had no recommendations and told us that she'll have a quote to us in a week. Two weeks later we were still waiting, after many phone calls/emails.

We worked with Bob Menard as our "kitchen designer" and he was totally incompetent. He ordered the wrong cabinets for us. And even the ones he ordered he forgot to order handles or ask us what kind of handles we wanted. We had to send them back and wait another six weeks for the new ones. In a business where attention to detail is important, he lacked attention to detail.

He came and measured our kitchen, but failed to inform us that since we had old house, we would need to square the chimney before installing the cabinets, which resulted in a lot of extra cost. He often failed to communicate with us and failed to make a final check on the cabinets, which I understand is standard. (Others at Met Cabinets told us this.) He may be one "rotten apple." When all the things went wrong others higher up fixed the problems.

They were all fine. These other workers who came to fix the problems were very competent. although they never compensated us for all our extra costs and the extra time it took because of Mr. Menard's mistakes and inattention to detail. (in kitchen design for example, it is normal to ask about cabinet height over the sink. Mr. Menard never asked us about this or other details.

The guy at Home Depot told me he would have consulted with us about cabinet height over sink. And so it went. The final result was good and the cabinet quality and counters we bought were fine. Kitchen designers other than Mr. Menard might be excellent, and the fact that the higher ups fixed the problems says something good about the company. Maybe we were unlucky to get the wrong kitchen designer.

If they keep him on their staff, they are only asking for problems and unhappy customers and extra work for Met Cabinets who will likely have to fix the problems he will likely create.

Tracey Street at Metropolitan Cabinets and Countertops was an incredible help to us. We had an idea of what we wanted and she made it come to life even better than we imagined. She was a great listener and worked with our ideas while making suggestions that turned our project (new kitchen) into something really special. It is the details that make the job and she was invaluable to us in this respect.

We were trying to meet a deadline and we appreciated that she always got back to us right away. The cabinets, themselves, from Metropolitan were just what we wanted. The finish (white painted) was flawless. The glass panes so pretty. We are so happy!

Brian Spellman helped us sort out the confusing world of countertops for our kitchen renovation. There are a lot of players in this space, but few are better than the rest. Not only was he patient with our back and forth, he responded to our emails with photos and other relevant information to ultimately get us there. Pricing beat the competition - but more than that it was his level of service that sold us on Metropolitan. Great showroom too. Highly recommend!

I had them design and install an engineered stone countertop in our kitchen. They run a very professional operation and turn out a great product. They came when they said that they would and did a great job. Excellent product. They may not be the cheapest, but they are certainly one of the very best in this business. Highly recommended.

I had the most positive experience with all these people here. Brian was cordial and professional. It was a most painless experience and the marble countertop is absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend their services. I went to many others first and compared everything, and I wish I could say that the contractors from other businesses that I used were as great, but this particular aspect of the kitchen renovation went as smoothly as it could have. Beautiful job guys- I thank you! The marble countertops and cutting board is just spectacular.

Based on the recommendation of our wonderful kitchen renovation contractor, my wife and I used Metropolitan for our cabinets and granite countertops. We are very happy with the workmanship, fit and look of our cabinets, as well as with our spectacular granite countertops. On top of that, they have an extensive collection of cabinet handles to pick from (who knew that there were so many different types of handles), the cost of all of these items was reasonable and delivery was on time and without any hassles. Moreover, the cabinets are made locally, which meant that some last minute additions could easily be accommodated.

They also have a great collection of really beautiful granite slabs from all over the world that they cut for your custom countertops. We love our granite countertop and it gets lots of complements from visitors to our home. In short, this is the place to go for kitchen cabinets (and handles) as well as for granite countertops. If you are thinking about a possible kitchen renovation, you should measure your current space, and then visit their big open showroom in Norwood.

I suggest that you call Metropolitan in advance to set up a time when you can go over your needs with one of their employees (we used Marie Kennedy who was very helpful and put no pressure on us). The showroom is also very helpful in that it contains many different kinds of cabinets, countertops and kitchen designs, and thus can help you decide exactly what you want in a new kitchen.

Stunning craftsmanship. Superb customer service. After 5 years of being stuck in analysis paralysis about our full kitchen reno, our contractor/friend encouraged us to go talk to Liz at Met Cabinet. From there we never looked back and we have the kitchen of our dreams. Liz was phenomenal to work with from start to finish. With a seasoned, keen eye for critical design and functional considerations and a calm and patient approach (this can be a stressful experience), Liz was our trusted advisor and guide through the entire process.

Big plusses for us were that they supply and install the counter tops as well which resulted in a savings in cost as well as time/coordination. We had very specific and non-standard ideas about what we wanted, and we were allowed to present sketches and work with the cabinet makers to create our own custom designs. One of our requests was for an inverted taper leg on our island which Met Cabinet had never executed before.

They worked with us on the design and created a one of a kind island that we absolutely adore. Our contractor has worked with Liz and Met Cabinet in the past and continued to express that their cabinets are top-notch and his own experience in working with them is wonderful. The cabinets are beyond beautiful and the cost was in line with what we would have paid for out of the box cabinetry. Go to Met - ask for Liz. Love your kitchen!

My Grandmother bought her cabinets from Metropolitan (as well as her counter top) her contractor sent here here. they are their customers but they help the homeowner design their kitchen space. It all went very smoothly. She chose cabinets from their own line that they make in their Norwood location. I believe it is called the Royal line. She was happy to buy local and support local family owned business as well.

She got a beveled edge laminate counter top that looked amazing. They delivered to her new home on the cape. (which was very nice and surprising). She is going to do her bathroom vanity within the next half year and will definitly be going back here. i only know so much because she depended on her grand daughter to help her make color/style decisions. i will definitely recommend this place in the future! only 4 stars because i haven't shopped for kitchens before.
