Handy Hero

Handy hero was extremely professional and diligent. They came in with an estimate, and, unbelievably, came under budget! Total removal of carpet, studs, and trash, and expert laying of vinyl flooring and trim. Painting was done professionally as well. Would recommend them for many more projects in the future, including counter top and cabinets. Chris was great, and Shane was very responsive.

We had gone to Home Depot for a cook-top and was informed no one to install it. We were told about Handy Hero. SO glad we called them. Extremely polite and responsive and was able to do another job that we wanted done for awhile that we hadn't gotten too. Nick was our Handy Hero and that he was! Totally recommend this company!

We went with Handy Hero to repair/replace our chimney siding and a couple areas of rotted fascia. The work was contracted out (not unusual) and the sub-contractor did an excellent job with the work. The reason for the 3-star review is after the job was complete and payment was sent, I noticed a discrepancy on the amount charged for materials versus what was received on the receipts.

We were charged ~$300 over what was indicated by the receipts. I sent a few follow-up emails to Handy Hero asking about the additional material charges, and requested copies of the receipts, but never heard back. I am more than willing to update this review to a higher rating, if Handy Hero would clarify the additional material charges and provide copies of the receipts, but for now I probably won't recommend them to neighbors.

I was referred to Handy Hero via the Home Depot referral page because I needed grab bars installed on tile in a shower and a door widened to fit a wheelchair - and I needed help with that on short notice right the week of Christmas. The owner responded quickly to my request, communication was super professional about the options, and he was able to schedule a handyman around my crazy situation within 3 days. The work was done with utmost precision and care. Good experience.
